i’ve started watching the 1986 jttw series. currently 17 minutes into the first episode and everyone’s acting like wukong is some kind of freak of nature. like they just spotted bigfoot 💀

#i was suspending my disbelief for a moment and assumed all monkeys in this universe just look humanoid but like. they’re still #common monkeys all things considered #right? right??#no!! idk it’s it’s just a translation thing or what but they’re shaking in their fucking boots #they’re calling him monster and demon so i’m guessing normal monkeys don’t look like him?#drawing parallels to scene in the live action cat in the hat where the cats is like ‘’scream and run’’ except it’s wukong just #scaring the people by existing 💀#p
