Request Rules are underneathe the cut!
Writing Requests:
Depending on my personal interest and motivation, requests are at least 300+ words long. The only stipulation I have for them, is that I do not write pieces for fandoms because I am not really formally in any. And again, due to shyness, with nsfw pieces, if I skip or shy on juicey details, please forgive me! I want to try and overcome my shyness sometime!
♡For clarity, please be specific about the monster species, monster gender, reader gender, professions, and setting information in your ask, so that I can better make your request, unless you want to leave it up to me and that's okay too! :'3
♡ My default gender for my asks are Reader Anonymous / Gender Neutral Reader characters! That way they can be enjoyed by everyone
♡You can also request an extension on pieces I have already written! (Though depending on interest I may have to decline extentions if I have no motivation ^^; ) I also may not take a request for the same reason, so just a heads up on that as well!
Thank you for stopping by my blog, I hope you have a lovely day!
I think I am going to start calling my robot / computer characters, SENN's Sentient Electronic Neural Network, or CTM: Cognizant Thinking Machine. Maybe some secret third thing if I can think of a name I like better than those two idea
Cuz just fluff the term AI... that word just gives me a bad taste in my mouth bleh >< )
Weirdly enough, this is a song I'd heard first when husbeau was playing Beat Saber. I'm like, "Hang on a sec, that sounds like Lindsey Stirling." Lo and behold when I heard it again, it was on my Pandora station. It does have a nice beat to it to go with her strings.
Currently Watching: Dark Winds - To be fair, I'm watching a few anime, too, but I feel like Dark Winds, based on Tony Hillerman's Leaphorn & Chee novels is worth sharing. A friend recommended it, and I was like, "Navajo rez mystery series? Zahn McClarnon stars? Implied possible supernatural involvement? Sign me up!"
Currently Reading: Getting ready to start The Red Winter by Cameron Sullivan.
I've been waiting on my library hold since March, darn the slowness of the book vendor in shipping the books. But it finally arrived last week! And surprisingly enough, I am in the mood for this one. That doesn't always happen when I have to wait a long time for a library hold. Here's hoping it will be a good read.
Current Obsession: Kind of torn between Moonlight Peaks (though I haven't started playing yet, just been watching a lot of content about the game) and My Time at Sandrock still (need to get back to playing in earnest since I have two other bachelors I want to romance and marry).
Currently Working On: Again, it's my Sandrock fic that I made such good headway on and then kinda got distracted by other things. I am determined to get it finished this year as there are only a few chapters left.
Last Google (DuckDuckGo is the way to go) Search: Kobo store so I could see if a title on BookBub was listed in their ebook store. Sadly, it is not and is only available at the overlord's site (Amazon).
Favorite Flower: This is a really tough one since I love so many flowers. It's likely a tie between gardenias because they smell so so good and dahlias because they're so so pretty and rich in color.
No pressure tags: @renkade @monsterfloofs @ottobooty @bagheerita @niuniente @akweia
Currently Reading: Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann (The book that inspired the new movie Sheep Detectives)
Currently Watching: Nero Wolfe 2003 series
Current Obsession: MoonLight Peaks YEAAAAAAH! Also my duskroving birb folk :p
Currently Working On: getting my old Nintendo DS up in running again! I have missed using a handheld game system, and I have been thinking about saving money to invest in a Steam Deck. But in the meantime going through my old video games I played as a kid has been nostalgic. I had Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. A game I never played much because I was terrible at it, and all the people where disappointed in me. Coming back to it now, with all the StarDew Valley under my belt... I bet the towns folk think I've been body snatched ahahaha
Last Duck Duck Go Search: Medieval word for never
Favorite Flower: Lily of the Valley, pretty little petite bell shaped flowers, also highly poisonous ( ` v° ) and Hyacinth, a long cluster of flowers, bulbs can cause mild irritation.

There exists these things called rice cakes, which are somehow puffed up and dried rice that has been pressed into chewy 0.5 inch thick circular disks. And I kid you not, based on the weird chewiness, crunchiness and slight squeak they make when you bite down , they make me think of the consistency of styrofoam. I feel like I'm eating styrofoam every time I have one of them.
I miss when I was writing regularly before The Big Hiatus and I got comments all the time. I do write for myself, I make story choices that I enjoy. Some of it's wanting validation but, a whole lot less than it used to be and mostly what I want comments for now is, I spend so much time with my head in this story. It just makes my day when other people engage with it and want to talk to me about it. Even when it's something they didn't like - when it's about 'this thing made me feel this kind of way' and not, unsolicited advice. Positive or negative, I do not appreciate being told what to do in my own story. It's going where it's going but I do love to hear what you feel and think about where it's gone so far.
If you loved someone's work, PLEASE comment. And not just with emoticons. Give us specificsssss. Please ramble into our inboxes. I promise we don't find it annoying. Statistics show us that people are receiving our work, interacting with it - when you comment, we get to hear a little bit about how much people engage with it and that means so much.
Did anyone say "sexy lizard"? No? Well you're getting one anyway. This is Hurry, he's a jerk lol
These were actually the first things I drew after not drawing for four years. I've been working on updating old character designs. His coloration is based off the Bleeding Heart Pigeon.
I imagine he sounds like David Bowie in Labyrinth haha
[ Taking a break, from the bigger story I have been writing to do a little sci-fi whimsy~ ]
I didn't know where I was, but I had company, a companion who I couldn't communicate with.
As you know, that was bound to cause problems. The alien I was with wore a jumpsuit, the skin that I could see underneath the grey suit was brown, like tree bark after the rain. Except it was smooth, skin almost without texture. It's eyes were bright large and intelligent, it had a very short snout. None at all really, only a bump for a nose with small nostrils. I wasn't sure how it could breath with such a small nose. It hair that was decorated elegantly with rings that swung as they moved.
Species, Unknown. Gender, Unknown.
Our first attempt at communication was dreadful. I did my best to make soft growling noises, and they did their best to try and climb the walls to get away from me. I deduced growling, even soothing concerned growling was not a good solution, neither was gentle hissing. So I chose to sit in a corner, and try to appear non-threatening. If they so chose. By the look of it, the noises they had made, it was clear I had frightened them. We looked over one another wearily, looking for weapons, for signs of aggression. We were locked in a box together, the cell was not even twenty paces across. I sat in one corner, and they in the furthest away from me. I can't remember who took the gamble first. To fall asleep. Yet once one of us did, the other quickly followed. I wanted to ask them how they got here, I remember being tranquilized, how my limbs started to move funny and the thud that rang through my skull as I hit the ground.
It was three days until the two of us realized we could communicate by tone. Some tones as I learned previously didn't translate well. My soothing sounds, were not soothing to them. So I tried to adopt their own. Coos and murmurs, it was hard, my vocal chords weren't built for it. But my companion was smart. Their eyes had grown wide and I could see the realization flit across their face. The hisses hadn't meant to been aggressive. They had put a hand to their forehead and made more sounds, excited, relieved.
The more I spent time with my companion the more they intrigued me. They had two planes of skin underneath their nose that would twist expressively. At first they would make faces that looked questionable to me. Yet, they would make friendly, cooing noises. Lips, said interstellar species article I found while searching on my com watch. Bipedal aliens covered in semi-elastic skin, typically had lips that surrounded the mouth. It used said lips to help show mood, other than create vocal tones and body language. Smiling, the thing I had seen my new companion do, was an attempt to appear affable, but one would also smile when they were pleased. I tried it once in front of a shiny metal side when they were asleep. I opened my jaws just enough to show rows of teeth. I quickly clamped my jaw shut. It looked as if I was about the begin snarling, truthfully. It didn't look like the other creatures, and certainly did not appear friendly. We were opposites, their smooth skin, to my textured scales. Their short face and small nose compared to my long face and crushing jaws. They were small, I was lumbering. Yet with all of these opposites, we had somehow been able to bridge the gap between our two worlds. My interstellar dictionary had helped, thankfully built into the communication watch. There was no ability for translation no matter how many times I would check. Nor any available frequencies to send messages, I wondered if it was the cell itself, built to disrupt communication.
I wasn't sure where we were, or what day it was. The days felt like they dragged on forever. Food was delivered twice a day through a slot that would yawn open before quickly smoothing over. It was a shock to me then, just as this route had begun to feel normal. The cell, with no doors or windows suddenly yawned open to form an archway. A sentient wearing a battle suit had strode in. Species unknown, bipedal, face covered with a helmet. My partner was tucked in an opposite corner right beside the door. Their head bobbing up, sharing my wide eyed shock.
A weapon was pointed at me, and the stranger, yet in another language, babbled. I only gave the briefest glances at my companion, before getting to my feet, lowering my head, making myself as large as possible, and giving a warning snarl. They were in the perfect position to slip out while I distracted this threat. It may not have been much, but I had grown fond of odd alien. I did not want them to get hurt.
What happened next happened in a blur. Instead of sneaking out, my companion had snuck up behind what I presumed was a guard. They shifting their stance before kicking the threat in the back of the legs. The intruder off-balanced and folded. I lunged for the gun, and before I knew it the threat was neutralized. Knocked unconscious with their helmet taken by my companion. They smiled at me, and held out a gloved hand. My yellow eyes glanced from them to the fallen guard. "You are certainly not someone I wish to be aligned against," I growl gently, taking their hand. It was a wild hope that thrashed in my chest as we hand in hand, hurried out of the cell.

Jazz was playing on the large wooden radio that sat on the book shelf. A soft and easy melody on piano filtering through the apartment. Rain was pounding on the windows, the rhythmic pattering making scene fell drowsy and comfortable. From far away, the faintest sound of thunder rumbles across the horizon. You had turned a plush arm chair around to watch the rain from the tall apartment window, your head crooked and leaning against the dark green cushions as your legs were hanging over the arm rest. The rain caused a mist to gather where droplets were bouncing off the window sil. Your eyes were just about drooping closed as the handle on the door rattles, the jingle and scrape of keys, then it swung open. The first of two disheveled figures stepping into the warm yellow light.
"What a night, brrrrr!" A shadowy figures with a long sharp beaked face shook his head. spattering rainwater before four bright blinking eyes appeared on his face "Hiya angel," A goofy smile wobbles across his mouth, "Didja miss us?"
The shorter of the shadowy bird headed figures pushed past his brother, shaking his dripping hands and looking irritated, "Thanks Lou, I needed another shower," While the two proceeded to bicker, you slide from your seat grabbing a bundle of towels you had left on a side table.
"Oh yeh?" Lou says cheerily, shrugging out of his sopping wet jacket, "Y'want some more? I got this jacket here and--" You throw a towel over Lou's head and give the shorter shade a smile, handing him another.
"Hi Nicky, did you have an okay night?"
Nicky eyes soften as he looks at you, "Hi doll. Unfortunately our patrol was a bust, but coming home to see you is always the best part of my night." You beam, offering to take Nicky coat and folding the dripping article over your arm. Lou lifts the corner of the towel to peer down at you, one yellow glowing eye blinking. You look up at Lou in amusement, "Hiya Lou. Don't tell me your heckled your poor brother the whole time."
"Me?" Lou points at himself with one hand, while two others wrap around your waist and hips. "Gee, now would I do something as despicable as that?"
"Yes." You respond with dry mirth, "Yes you would."
You shriek as Lou picks you up with his four arms, twirling you around with mischievous glee. "My brother got a 'hi' an you takin care of him all sweet! An' what do I get?"
Spluttering with laughter you kick your feet, "Let me go! You're going to soak my clothes you jerk!"
"I'll letcha go for a kiss." Lou wiggles his eyebrows, and you can see Nicky roll his eyes.
"No way," You giggle, "You smell like a wet dog." Lou scoffs and snuggles you close, the dark feather like fur quickly causing the rain to soak through the towel. The damp chilling your cheek and chin. "Ack!" You feign trying to push him off before your free arm wraps around him. "I missed you too... you big goof."
You are set gingerly back on the ground and sigh as you look at the dark spots on your clothes caused from the rain. "Thanks for that, Lou, now I have to change too." Lou hums and pretends he didn't hear you, his upper set of arms drying off his head. You take Lou's coat from a lower arm and shuffle off to the laundry room, the dripping clothes landing in the drier with a loud slap. You duck into your room to change, bemusedly throwing your clothes into the drier as well.
"I got us dinner," Nicky calls softly from the hall, "I'll be out inna minute to reheat it, it's prolly cold."
"I'll get it," You call back, "You just focus on getting warmed up!" Strolling into the kitchen, you spot a brown paper bag on the kitchen's dining table. Taking care to remove the bundles of warm paper from the bag. You carefully unwrap the sandwiches and take them apart. Placing the bread and meat on separate trays to toast the parts separately. You stifle a yawn as you twist the black knob on the stove to turn on the oven. You feel a presence at your back and look up to see Nicky peering down at you. "Did you have a good day?"
"Yeah," You respond, turning to take two of his hands and give them a squeeze. "It was a quiet lazy day, I really needed that."
"Good." He squeezes your fingers back, "I'm glad to hear that." You step forward and lean, resting your cheek against his chest. Nicky's other hands hold your waist and the both of you sway gently as you listen to the music in the other room.
"Jazz tonight," Nicky comments,
"Mm hm,"
"Usually I find you listening to swing on the radio,"
You laugh, "Usually yeah, but it was a dreamy kind of day,"
"Dreamy," Nicky sounds bemused, "This cold soppy weather is dreamy to you?"
You look up, "You don't think so? With the rain and the neon city lights? It looks like a painters palette has splashed all over the ground."
Nicky chuckles their voice deep and pensive, tapping your nose with a finger, "That's an awfully romantic thought about a dreary raining city like this."
You lean into his hand, looking up at him when he cups your cheek. "You like when I'm whimsically romantic,"
Nicky's eyes crinkle up with warmth, "I do..." he pauses for a moment, he is about to say something when his expression twitches with annoyance. You laugh as Lou leans into your back and wraps his arms around you as well. His chin rests on the top of your head and he heaves a long sigh.
"Sounds like a day." You tease,
"T'was," Lou murmurs, "Out in the cold an' rain to try and get a few photos of a ghost."
"A ghost... Oh, you mean that guy right? That thief that's supposedly come out of retirement?"
"Waste of time," Lou sighs, Nicky huffs softly in response.
"I don't think so," Nicky grouses, "I think it's compounding on my theory."
You squeeze out from between the two when the kitchen dings, and Nicky opens the oven door for you. In turn you put the trays of food inside to heat up, oven door closes with a click while listening to the brothers chatter on either side of you.
"Theory," Lou says dubiously, "That this is a wild goose chase, and the person that hired us is making us run around for laughs?"
Nicky gives his brother a dull look, "I think The Phantasm has to be one of us." Lou looks blank and Nicky spreads his hands and clarifies, "I think they have to be a Duskrover like us Lou, think about it. They're known to slip undetected through the dark, and the only scrape of evidence anyone has been able to recover on them is a stark picture of their hand due to the camera flash. Can you think of anything else that can appear like a shadow?"
Lou shrugs, his shoulder's bobbing up down, "I'm just the assistant Nicky, I don't do any of that higher brain game stuff," Lou quirks a crooked smirk, "I don't get paid enough." Nicky's shoulders slump in defeat and he squints at his brother.
"A roof over our heads isn't enough...?"
You loop an arm around each of their waists, "Sh, sh, sh! No more shop talk, would either of you like coffee or tea?"
Lou squints and pretends to give it some thought, "Yanno, I wouldn't say no to a cuppa joe."
"I don't think you've ever said no to coffee in your life, I don't know how you can drink so much caffeine," you tease.
Lou purrs contentedly, "It's one of my best features."
"I think I'll have some tea," Nicky mused, "It's been a while," You begin to move but a hand grips the top of your head and Lou spins you around towards the table.
"Go sit! I'll get the pot and kettle started,"
"It was my day off," You protest, but Lou waves you off. Feigning to demure only for a moment before you stealthy wander to the other end of the cabinets and start grabbing plates and silver ware.
Lou pauses in the middle of getting out the coffee grinder. He peers over his shoulder before spinning around, "Eh! Eh, eh, eh? What did I just say?" Lou huffs and tries to catch your wrist, but you skirt out of his reach.
"I don't know, what did you say?" You try to feign ignorance despite bubbles of laughter escaping and start setting up places at the kitchen table.
Nicky snorts with amusement, "How's that taste of your own medicine?"
Lou huffs again before giving a sigh, "Yanno, I don't know what I expected, I was hoping they wouldn't catch on so fast."
You give a bark of laughter, it's only a short while later until the three of you are sitting down for a late supper. A sharp clink of glass upon porcelain makes you wince. A result from setting your cup closer to your plate than you had realized. Lous head raises to glance out the window as thunder grumbles loudly across the sky, the storm pounding dramatically overhead. Lou swallows and grimaces, "Eesh, and I thought the storm we were coming home in was rough." Nicky lifts his tea cup to his beak, drinking carefully to avoid spilling the pipping hot liquid. "I wonder if they'll be a power outage," Lou continues frowning at the downpour outside.
You take a bite of your sandwich and chew thoughtfully before you comment. "I do have my hoard of candles in case of an emergency."
"A hoard is an apt description for your candle collection," Nicky says, you smile while shrugging your shoulders and roll your eyes.
"What can I say, I like candles." you reply,
"Like?" Nicky laughs, "I think we are far past liking candles at this point."
---
With the lights turned off and the radio silent, the rain feels all encompassing. A warm cup of tea is cradled in your hands as you watch the water run down the glass panes in tiny rivulets. You finish the last of your tea, leaving the cup in the sink before you wander to your room. Snuggling into the blankets and pillows before your eyes wink closed. The next time they open, you find yourself sandwiched between two warm bodies. You yawn and turn over onto your back, your hands feeling their way around the dark to clasp hands with your two gents. Your breath soft and slow, gazing up at the ceiling, dark rainbow static filling your vision before your let your eyes drift closed again. A sleepy smile tugging up the corners of your lips as you listen to the rain.
