so at first he just decides on sending you a note

he gets his friends to pass a piece of paper to you reading “i’m enjoying the view ;)”

and though your cheeks blush, your emotion does not match

you glare at him, ripping up the note

and he just smiles that shit-eating grin, making you angrier

so you get back to what your teacher is saying, and you find yourself getting tapped on the shoulder again

of course, it’s another note

“ignoring it won’t make it go away. just like your fine ass”

you scoff and rip it up once more, stuffing the remnants into your backpack

before you know it you have ten more notes on your desk, all left unopened

you figured keeping them closed would keep you from lashing out at billy

so you just continue writing about shakespeare’s more uncommon works

and then he fucking raises his hand

“can i go to bathroom?” he asks, smiling at the teacher

you know that’s his cue for you to follow him

but you needed to keep this A in this class, and you were not losing it for some boy

so you take a few more notes and realize he’s not back after five minutes

you tell yourself not to give in

but then you find yourself raising your hand, asking the teacher to go to the bathroom

so it was a normal day

he had just pulled over so you could make out

and you pull away for a sec, analyzing the situation

“why’d you stop?” he’d ask

and you just look at him, unsure of what he was asking and what was your answer

you just ask “what was california like?”

and he looks at you like he’s on the verge of exploding

so much anger pushed inside him

against his dad mostly

but his face softens after a second, and he takes your hand in his

“it was fun, i guess. my shithead dad was still there, though. but there was this one gas station i’d hang out at all the time with my friends, just leaning on our cars and trash talking anyone from other schools that came. that was fun”

and then he went on and on about his friends and the scenery

his old house

his old school

the beach he used to surf at

anything he could think of

he told you the story of how he broke his arm at ten

how he accidentally ate a bit of a crayon at three

and how he had his first kiss at seven

you’d laugh, ooh and awe, put your hand over your mouth, cringe, and any other emotion his story made you feel

and then he got to a story which involved his dad

he just stopped for a minute to think about whether or not he could go on

it was a damn good story but his hatred for his dad was so intense, he didn’t know if he even wanted to mention him in a good memory

“your dad?” you’d asked quietly, not sure how to react

and he’d just nod, and like that, his stories were over

you understood, even though you wished he would’ve continued

billy loved you because you understood him so well, and you would never stop doing that

headcanons || billy dating a basketball player!reader

so you were probably minding your own business practicing basketball after school

and he said something sexist just trying to get the courts for himself

“hey maybe go flick your painted nails somewhere else”

but you’re not having it

you were here first after all

so you challenge him and his buddies to a game

mind you, this is like one against five

but that doesn’t scare you

you play for an hour, you making baskets left and right

i mean, don’t get me wrong, they are too, but you’re just making more

and so by this point billy and his friends are dONE

they’re already sexist assholes so the idea that a GIRL is beating them makes their tiny brains explode

meanwhile, billy is falling in love

so all his friends are like “screw this, and you” and walk off

but billy is still standing

“maybe take a picture, it’ll last longer” you yell at him

you’re barely sweating unlike billy who is drenched

billy just does his infamous tongue-out laugh and starts slowly walking back to his car

and you think it’s over

but billy does not let things go

so he comes up to you the next day, flirting and winking, finally topping it off with asking you out

and you obviously say no

“your personality is as bad as your basketball skills, loverboy”

and he does NOT like that

so every day you get asked out again, him either saying it a different way or, when he gets desperate (which is unusual for him), making deals with you

“look i won’t touch your ass at all”

which receives a large scoff from you

and then one day, he just looks so done, he just thinks you're so hot but so cool and so dedicated to any cause you believe in

which just so happens to be rejecting him

he just says “we can go out for ice cream, i won’t even, ugh, i won’t even kiss you”

and you laugh so hard

because billy has to really want you if he’s not even going to kiss you

“okay, one date. that’s it, no kissing, no holding hands, not even a hand on my waist. got it?”

billy’s eyebrow raises in question to no touching, but a signature smirk grows on his face after a minute

after he asks your address and what time to pick you up, he’s on his way out the school

so you got on one date with him, and surprisingly, he’s not a dick to you

he actually compliments you a few times, pays for your dessert, and takes you home

just saying, you end up making out

how can you not when his face looks like that

but after that, you don’t really talk about it

he catches you one day in practice

and he asks if you forgot about what happened

“i mean, no, but i don’t expect you have a girlfriend, so it was fun while it lasted”

he just stands there, lighting his cigarette, and laughing as if you were joking

“okay, princess, maybe if you weren’t so breathtaking, so come over tonight, kay?”

and after that, you were official

he comes to every b-ball game of yours

his dad doesn’t want him home anyway, so he might as well

when you’re winning, he will trash talk™ the hell out of the other team members or fans

if you’re losing, he will still trash talk™ the other team

“man, your team sucks”

“dude, we’re winning”

“yeah ‘cause you suck so much you have to cheat”

he ends up in a fight with the other dude

you also go to every game of his

you don’t get as aggressive towards the other team as your boyfriend

but you’re always in the front row yelling tips and tricks when he has the ball

and sometimes he winks at you from the court and totally misses the ball

he’d see what band you both liked and get the tickets he could afford

it didn’t matter how close you were though

you talked to each other for the most of the concert anyway

be ready to be the subject of every picture he takes

he will stop you in the middle of doing something to take a picture
