The Heartlands are essence of the country. Settled on the eastern port, and spanning downwards to the south, they are the most wealthy region and home to the Royal Family. Many tradesmen come to the capitol for work, and many travelers come to the city for it’s entertainment and landmarks. Although the Heartlands do not have as many fields as the Midlands, it’s still rich in wildlife and flora. They do not suffer from the same winter storms as the Stormlands does in the west.

The Heartlands are rumored to be the happiest place to live (and the most expensive) and the city guards like to boast that their city is also the safest. Whether that is true or not is up for debate.

The Stormlands are rich with culture and trade. They settled close to the sea, but due to this, they have been forced to build their castles’ higher and higher on the cliffs away from the sea’s swelling rages. The marketplace is still located close to the ocean, but the city makes due, and when it storms - the vendors simply put their wares onto a small boat and paddle through the streets of the city.

The city does have the highest crime rate, however, but the officials and nobility blame it on the  immigrants coming from across the sea and often say they can’t do anything about it.

The Winterlands - or more commonly known as Winterhold - is located in the northern-most part of the country. Their land is mostly wild wilderness, but there are some settlements surrounding the castle built into the mountain and a few others out by the coastline. Surprisingly, Winterhold is the second-most wealthy region. Unlike the midlands who profit off their crops, or the Stormlands that profit off their trade, the Winterlands’ mountains are filled with precious metals and gems.

It is said that the best smiths are born under a great snow storm in the Winterlands. This region, due to its easy access to ore and metals, supplies the most weapons and armor to the rest of the country.

The Midlands are land-locked, with various rivers cutting through their many hills and valleys. During the dry season, the Midlands are ripe with fresh vegetables and fruit, bursting with colorful fields and gardens. They throw festivals every harvest moon. The people often say that it is the happiest place to live. Although, they do not get as much trade as the other regions, their large fields provide plenty of food for their people, and they are the main source of healing herbs and exotic fruits in the entire country.

During the rainy season, the Midlands become gray and cold and wet, but it’s hardly a miserable time of the year. The people celebrate the rain. This is often a time that women are encouraged to become with child, so the child will be born during the harvest season.

❅↼↼↼ Jack was bewildered and a little bemused, staring at the regal Queen in astonishment. When had she shed her stiff, formal facade? It seemed so unlike her to demand something of that nature to Jack. 

And honestly, once the proposition had been made, Jack wasn’t sure what to make of it. Often he was the arrogant flirt—full of winks and an easy smirk highlighting his impish features. The truth was… he hadn’t touched anyone in three hundred years. He panicked. What should he do? Say? How did sex even work, really? He settled into his old, playful ways instead, trying in vain to hide his naivety. 

"And how badly do you want it?” He teased with a frivolous grin on his face.

Obviously, her request had stunned him, and she took strange pleasure in that. It was not easy to surprise Jack. He usually had a remark ready even before you could think your own words through. But several seconds passed before he actually opened his mouth. Impressively, his words held the same amount of teasing as they always did, and had the short pause not been there, Elsa would have probably not noticed a change in his behavior at all. But she did notice, which was the reason behind her self-satisfied smirk.

❝If I told you, I'd have to kill you,❞ she answered off-handedly. ❝Plus, your ego would be inflated. It's big enough as it is.❞

          There. Hades had managed to pass the whole problem of the Gods and Goddesses. For now, at least. If he were to throw a fit, it would probably be in the Underworld, a place where he’d be alone to do it. If he exploded in anger (literally speaking), he might hurt the queen. Wait— did he actually c a r e about hurting her? Oi. He’d been spending too much time with the mortal.

          “Hm. Guess so.” Leave. If he had been getting soft to a mortal, he would end up hurt. “I should go do that. Maybe put a chip on my shoulder, have a walk in the park. I’ll spare you from my sickening jokes.” Just a mere excuse to not end up a heap of a God in the end, that’s all.

For one moment, he had smiled and seemed genuinely happy, but now-- Elsa frowned to herself, trying to find out exactly what was happening with the god. It was odd. He almost seemed down. What had she said? It made no sense. Actually, Elsa felt a little offended by the fact that he wanted to leave in the middle of their conversation. Was she really such a horrible company to be in?

Stubbornly -- because he was the only one left in the world, she could talk to, dammit! -- she decided that if he left, she would follow. Then he would have to explain his reasons behind leaving. An explanation was better than nothing. ❝Nonsense; wouldn't miss them for the world. I'll walk with you,❞ she insisted with a small smile. If he was going to be grumpy, she would fight that with cheer. There was steel in her voice, though, which suggested her intent on not letting him just leave her there. 

                                                               She didn't want to be A L O N E  anymore.

Not when she had a choice.

          “No, it isn’t.” The God immediately spat back, frowning. His eyes shined of disapproval- no; they shined in more n e e d than anything. “Cigars make me happy. They clear my mind.” Oh, why did he need to tell her the reason he smoked? He showed weakness in his comment. “Fuck.” he cursed.

           It didn’t help when the queen tried pulling him up, in which he did not cooperate. Once he was pulled up, he immediately sank back down, instead this time he did not lay back on the ground. He collapsed against Elsa, and the air got taken out from his lungs. He began to cough and let out a groan, feeling like he was going to throw up. “Don’t… friggin’… move me..” he grumbled. “Ng… ‘ve been called worse, hon. Think of a better nickname.”

His comment about the mind-clearing abilities of cigars went mostly unnoticed by Elsa, who just registered his answer as another of the god's oddity. Instead, her focus was stolen by the fact that she suddenly had the weight of another body against hers. It was pretty uncomfortable to be pressed against a drunk Hades, but the sound of his coughs and his warning made her freeze. She didn't want to clean up his vomit later. Just the thought made her nose crinkle in disgust.

Nicknames. She hated them, even just his short 'hon', which was barely noticeable. There was a reason why people were called what they were called. ❝Elsa,❞ she corrected again, still not moving a muscle out of fear that they would either topple over or have to clean up a mess. ❝How about 'elephant'? -- Because you sure as hell is as heavy as one.❞ It was an exaggeration, of course, but she was struggling with holding him up, especially because he wasn't doing much to help himself. ❝Could you at least help me out here?❞
