To any outside observer something seemed definitely wrong with the lavenderette's approach to the hilichurl camp. She didn't appear to be wearing any armor or carrying any weapons, she wasn't making any attempt to keep herself hidden, and she was barely being perceptive past some cursory glances around. Most anyone would assume she'd somehow gotten lost and had never heard of hilichurls before. However, she had in fact taken a commission to eliminate this entire camp. She just didn't have any plans to follow through with that.
"Helloooooo?? Anyone hooooome?? I've been sent to kill all of you! Come out come out wherever you are!"
While hilichurls might come across as primitive to the outside observer given their relative lack of technology, that did not mean they were stupid or weak. After all, they had all once been human at one point, but only a handful of people in all of Teyvat knew of their origins. Especially this foolish girl who had seemingly wandered into their camp. A lack of weapon and armor ultimately didn't mean too much when it came to how dangerous an individual was, since all manner of creature could have a hidden Vision that would grant them supreme elemental powers.
What hilichurls lacked in individual power, they more than made up for in numbers and cunning. Up until now, they'd been hiding from the woman so as to better observe her instead of blindly charging forward to their deaths. Even for a human, she showed a surprising lack of self-awareness, resulting in an anemo samachurl hurling miniature tornados at her, obscuring her vision and shredding her clothes at the same time. More than enough time for another hilichurl to sneak up behind her and clock her on the head with its club, knocking her out in a single blow.
As if encouraged by the incapacitation of their invader, a throng of hilichurls flowed from the shrubs and huts around the camp, surrounding Jay and tying her arms behind her back. No weapons, no armor, and no Vision. She would make for a fine plaything for the tribe...
