Head-up to SCP - 4231 fans... I butchered this to piece. It somewhat resembles SCP - 4231 in its most basic form. But like 2/3rds of it went in the trash for this AU. It almost basically opposite day here. Unless you like the Scarlet King aspect of the article just skip reading this honestly.
Thoughts:
I mentioned I changed this heavily. And I did. I throw things in the trash.
I have almost a full page of headcanons about SCP - 4231 - B in his normal entry. Do I really need to add more? The answer is yes, yes we are adding more here.
Honestly those art actual thought they're just warnings.
Below Keep Reading is everything else I've written about the Foundation in this AU. Little tidbit stories, headcanons, current test, ect.
Overview Report:
I’ll keep a lengthy report for my higher-ups.
SCP - 4231 is an event, location, and entities both stationary and humanoid that had tried to threaten the Plane of Myth existence and possibly Reality.
From inspection and information we have gathered we found out about their plan five years too late. The flood, as called by other Children of the Scarlet King, was an apocalyptic scenario situated on the immediate area. Nothing was left alive, only one building was left standing up, and the place is rotten with wild blood magic.
In that building we found SCP - 231, originally the only anomaly categorized in this incident, still looking as fresh as ever. Womb-like creation that was used to harbor creatures, gods some would say. When we arrived they were already long gone.
As of six years ago we had raided a Children of the Scarlet King’s temple. Under which we had found the creatures created by SCP - 231 instances as well as some perpetrators of the ritual. The children have been individual SCP ID-ed. Requests for list or confirmation will be denied.
The identities of SCP - 4231 - A and SCP - 4231 - B are to remain redacted for the foreseeable future.
SCP - 4231 - B is currently pending for release and servitude to the Foundation. Somehow.
Anomaly:
Flood-
The flood were unforeseeable consequences of the Children of the Scarlet King’s homunculus meddling. As each homunculus is “born” more and more blood covers the immediate surroundings. Because all cocoons hatched within minutes of one another the puddles of blood became a flood. A storm gathered around the area and more blood began to fall from the sky. The Children of the Scarlet King had a tendency to cast blood magic warm. The blood water began to boil. The Foundation was aware of it about 5 years after this event had occurred. The area still had wild blood magic about and would cause tendrils and humanoid blobs to manifest. Agents have reported their blood seeping out of their skins. It has been labeled a cracked land despite no GOC involvement.
SCP - 4231 -1 -
There was only one building standing after the blood had subsided. A medium sized cabin stripped of paint and decorations. Inside every inch of the place was coated with blood. It still had warm blood clumps clinging to the walls. It burned to the touch. Sigils were everywhere they could see, beaming with power, dripping fresh blood down the walls. Before leaving to scout the area MTF felt a draft coming from a particularly large box. Beneath the floor boards and a stone hatched door they found a stairway to a basement.
SCP - 231 Instances-
The basement had accumulated so much heat that it felt like a sauna walking in for the first time. Seven weird cocoons lined next to one another in the center of the room. They looked to be homunculus in nature. Just touching it you could feel thin but firm jello-like texture. It would stain your hand with blood. Veins lined the outside of the structure still moving other blood around the cocoon keeping itself from shriveling down. Strings of thick blood connected the pods to the ceiling seeming to have nothing related to the veins nor do they help with balance of the creations. They had been sliced open meaning something came out, seven things, but they were long gone from this place. Leaving the building to its fate as a gross horror story.
SCP - 4231 - A -
The egg donor for the SCP - 231 cocoons. Not much is known about her as she has never been found. The dwindling number of people who know anything about her refuse to mention anything about this woman except for confirmation that she exists.
SCP - 4231 - B -
A reality bender with a temper that is presumed to be the father, or at minimum a father figure, to the Scarlet King’s children created via SCP - 231. He created the temple, he was found in, into a multi-dimensional maze.
Story:
Part 1
A little boy looked out to the forest beyond his father's property. The trees swayed with the wind. Leaves rustle in motion. The ground laid silent, nothing dared to disturb it. Overall even as the sun set upon the land it seemed all well in this tiny place in Myth.
On the outskirts of the forest before his house laid a single silhouette. Humanoid in shape. It stayed motionless as if the shadow of a statue blocked with vague animal traits. Tiny horns comparable to the local deer.
He looked behind him. The soft glow of the house peered up the steps to the loft casting into the room. The moderate chatter and laughter could be heard down the hallway, his parents winding down from a long day.
“Mom, Dad, I'm going to bed.” His voice smoothly mimicked his mother's calming tone as if it was his own.
“Okay, goodnight son.” His father called out.
“And calm down with the reality bending, you know it affects your nightmares!” Mother harshly pointed out compared to the calming voice of his father and his own.
The child wrapped his arm around the rope to the attic and with strength stronger than himself, one sturdy pull and the stairs came up, clicked into place.
The room only had the inviting glow of soon to be crescent moon. He peered out the window once more, the figure still stood.
The window clicked as the latch was undone. With a gentle push the window swinged out. It didn't make a single sound. The boy jumped out two stories up and landed on the ground, soundless just like the window and he never lost his footing.
He ran to the figure. Who came into view: a young girl the same age as the boy, ethereal bright blond hair, green eyes that denied shadows where the universe ran through her pupils.
She ran into the forest and the boy followed. What felt like ages of chasing her, they came to a clearing in the trees.
“Are you ready for tonight, Francis?” Excitement filled the girl's lungs.
“I guess. Lilly, I don't know these people…”
“I know them. And as I said we'll stay by the priests tonight. I know that we are safe.”
“If they want me to get dunked under blood, what animal blood is it? My mom said it would matter…” His third eye, a red ambering brown compared to his bright green and deep blue of his regular eyes, opened for worry.
“Don't chicken out if I tell you.”
“I'll do it.”
“Human.”
The boy was stunned, at a loss for words, but he promised his best friend that he would go through with it.
“Okay.” He sounded defeated. He knew that human blood had the most magic to it but it also was the most heinous to gather.
“Then let go.”
The forest opened into a small city near, around, and on a hill. Despite how late it was, kids were still running around the street. The two ventured into a dark alleyway and a 20-ish year old person dressed in red greeted them at one of the doors. Led inside and down many steps. The further they went the more Francis thought that they must be underground, far underground.
He changed his cloth to that of all white, a tank top and sweatpants fit for a kid.
One by one people, mostly adults, would step into a large wooden bucket and blood would be poured on top of them. From the bottom of the bucket a sigil would glow where a column of red light would shoot to the ceiling. When the light died down they would get out and wait for the water showers off from this room. People watched in silence, all having robes of higher people in the religion’s ranking than the two children. Not that they were any ranking to begin with.
Francis stood up and stepped in. His feet submerged in blood were still warm. It metaphorically crawled up his skin.
“You ready kid?” The only other person here he knew other than Lily, Priest Dipesh. The one that took his time to teach Francis about Lily culture. It was confusing and odd, but he paid no mind to it for his friends sake.
“Just know you need to let go of your power and let whatever happens next do its thing. If you do what we rehearsed then you will not die. Okay?"
“Yes.”
The priest opened a hole from above his head and a gush of blood fell from it. The kid was coated head to toe in the warm human blood in less than 30 seconds. Slightly gooey and it had already started to harden on his skin and fast. The thick layer of dried blood that felt like a skin tight cocoon would crack under the child’s full normal strength, that of an 8 year old boy.
Bubble blood clots formed all around his body. These were made from his own blood, he could tell because of his powers. Having reality at your fingertips teaches you things no one other than your kind can ever comprehend.
The sigil beneath his feet started to burn. The red light began to envelop his vision. His feet had the bottom layer of dried blood rip off taking his skin layer with it as he began to float upwards. It felt like the light itself was lifting him up.
In his chest tentacles twisting, pulling to open his chest, and a filling feeling washed over him. The thing pulsed with every heartbeat.
His feet reconnected to the ground. The dried blood chipped off and the fresh clots cheeped down his skin before falling off into the blood of the regular bottom of the bucket.
As the boy chipped off the blood from his eyes to see. His vision now was now grey scale with the red from under his eyelids settling into light fixtures and the carving of proverbs rock-work hidden from normal eyes from ware and tare were now see-able with the naked eye in the red outline. The people in the pores looked a mix of grey or red, splitting from true believers from the frauds. Behind him was a large deer-like skull with the beak of a squid, the closes thing the cult had to a from Daevite time that appeared to be the Scarlet King. It glows fully with a red he had not seen before, a red brighter than pure white.
“It’s time to come out.” The priest reassured me.
Francis did not move from his spot or acknowledge anyone else's existence. Dipesh scooped him up and took him to the showers. The water washed away his invisible chains around him and he was able to move again. The vision filter slowly faded back to normal colors.
“See kid, everything is okay.”
“Hey, hey, Francis did you see anything?” Lily popped in from the corner of the room,
“Um… I guess so. Yeah I saw something.”
“What was it? I saw the statues behind the altar glow when I did it two years ago.”
“I saw some writing on the wall and the crowd looked to be different colors.”
“It’s a shame we don’t know who they are. They sound like they need a verses course.” Dipesh butted in. “For now, Lily, could you take your friend home.”
“Does he have to go now?” She pouted.
“If you don’t want his parents to know he left. I’d do it now.”
“Okay.”
Abilities:
Hard to evaluate. Request to send paperwork to the new intern for finalization.
Headcanons:
SCP - 4231 - A was long gone before the children were born. The only confirmation that she was apart of this was from captured Children of the Scarlet King and SCP - 4231 - B
No one would confirm her current whereabouts
Lily gave up herself to become a Daevite forest spirit. Her grounds are marked with a petrified stone statue of herself that has her living body inside fueled by blood magic
SCP - 4231 - B was the default leader in the temple when found
The SCP - 231 cocoons were badly damaged when found at the house
SCP - 4231 - B obfuscates information about being the biological father in the ritual. His usual answer in modern days is ‘do you think that they could just use one egg and that’s it’
SCP - 4231 - B and the children that came from this were found in a massive underground temple complex 700 miles away from the building that SCP - 231 instances were found in.
The Children of the Scarlet King were using this to cause mini K-Class scenarios that together cause a Z1-Class reality reset when the Scarlet King is released. Which would turn reality into a world of Daevite creations; specifically with plants, animals, and natural memetics.
SCP - 4231 - B killed his own mother to get the Erikesh Codex and her studies to give to the Children of the Scarlet King.
The people that died from the flood can sometimes be seen as a blood silhouette of their arms and upper body reaching and grabbing for people.
To hearken back to the original, Lily reality bent Clef's mind into liking her the same way Clef did to Kondraki. He was taught it was an acceptable thing to do because he had the power to do so.
Lily also, like a fey, took Clef's ability to love away. “Give me your love.” “Sure.”
Other:
Honestly Lily might need her own entry because this explains very little about her character in this. As she doesn’t do much of anything here. And well isn't that a first for actually thinking of wanting to writing about Lily.
