if jimin could describe what being an idol was like, he’d compare it to a roller coaster ride. it has its ups and downs but overall he enjoys doing what he does. sometimes though, it becomes a little too much for the boy. there are moments where he needs a breather so he occasionally finds himself wandering around seoul alone at night, enjoying the fact that not many people recognize him. for once, he wasn’t park jimin from bts, he was JUST jimin. and that’s how he liked it.
he doesn’t have a certain destination in mind, he’s walking around seoul aimlessly, admiring the bright lights and faint chatter of people - it’s as if he was practically invisible out here. of course, he would get the occasional saesang fan who could spot him in a crowd filled with thousands of people even though he remained lowkey. thankfully, it rarely happened. it also helped that he typically navigated through empty and peaceful streets.
jimin has his hands tucked away in his pockets when he hears a female yelling who he assumed was at him. “who, me?” he points at himself while glancing around. yes, you, dummy. you were the only one standing right in front of her camera. “oh– i am so sorry.” he steps out of her way awkwardly. he was gonna keep walking but something told him to stay and try to lighten her mood, “but didn’t you know that i was the view?”
ruining the shot clearly wasn’t enough for him. no, he had to throw in some witty retort as well. jumi doesn’t do anything other than roll her eyes at the immature boy; they’re all the same, bursting with over-confidence and thinking they’re hot shit. but honestly? in her opinion, it’s kinda pathetic.
“you? the view? hmm…” she muses out loud, giving him a once-over before her gaze focuses on his face again. admittedly, he was cute enough, but nothing too special. “i don’t think so. now move, unless you wanna get a camera to the head. i’m serious!”
getting a threat from a 5′2 girl probably didn’t sound too dangerous, but she tries to get the words out of her mouth with as much anger and venom as possible. emphasis on the trying part, because she just sounds like one of those chipmunks from that animated movie. you know the one. but she cuts herself off, before squinting at him and leaning in for a closer look. “hey.. wait, you look familiar. aren’t you from that group? monsta x?” the sarcasm in her voice is obvious and she laughs before continuing to talk, without waiting for his response. “i’m kidding. tell jin i love him.”
