okay yes can we just talk about “inej, look at me. look at me. you saved my life.” BECAUSE UM????

kaz and inej ALWAYS look at each other. up to the point where we get to this line, they’re sharing these small glances, these small amounts of trust. whenever they have a conversation they look at each other

and like in the beginning of the season kaz points out inej’s faith multiple times, her belief in saints, and she always reprimands him for his morally reprehensible actions straight to his face because she wants to good, she wants to do the right thing. and then all of a sudden she’s betrayed this part of her, and she’s killed someone for kaz, and suddenly she’s a mess

and inej ghafa, the wraith, can just not look at kaz brekker because she feels like she’s betrayed herself and him by doing what she did. but then kaz pulls her to him and he says no, inej, no. don’t do that. look at me like you always do and own this. you are not terrible. you saved my life, i would have died. this is still holy

because fuck, kaz knows how important inej’s beliefs are to her and he is willing to do so much for them, and he helps her get past the moment where she’s doubting herself by saying (for once) what she needs to hear
