it drives me crazy when i finally build up the guts to come out to someone and they something along the lines of “you think i didn't know?”

that’s not the point. I don’t care if you already guessed. i have never once come out to someone without some part of me being anxious, please just be respectful and don’t pretend that i “didn’t need to” come out.

so, queer people and straight people, please just think about how it comes off when you say things like that to people. it’s not normalizing queerness, it’s invalidating queer people’s emotions.
