also I owe replies but I don't super feel like doing them so plot aus with me instead
the good place au where pip actually dies with his run in with Freddie and so he ends up in the good place and is really confused and he's called Jordan and stuff and everyone is nice and he doesn't know how to handle it and he wants to be nicer and spends a couple nights crying in his room abt how he feels like it's impossible for him to be nice and stuff and just ends up keeping his mouth shut more often than not
an au based on the good place would be so good with pip lbr
The Good Place 1.13 | I was dropped into a cave, and you were my flashlight.
oh yeah pip has a chocolate allergy thing and it's more like a lactose allergy than anything else? also because he's part dog and all. chocolate won't kill him but a certain amount of it will fucj with his stomach and make him throw up. that's all.
( text ; evan ) im fine ( text ; evan ) just threw up a little ( text ; evan ) it happens ( text ; evan ) fucking stupid chocolate ( text ; evan ) worth it though

Most would view Paisley has a fairly levelheaded person, but in reality, he has a tendency to panic in situations where he’s unsure of how to handle something. He does attempt to remain somewhat calm, however, not wanting to make the person in question whom is actually needing help in that moment, feel any worse. His main goal is to make said person feel better, possibly even smile. Basically just stop the tears in a healthy light. He likes to think that it’s an achievable task, even with how Pip’s currently speaking, for he wishes to never see him in such a state of mind again. Not because he views it as pathetic, or anything of the sort, but because no one deserves to have such self-depreciating thoughts.
He looks smaller than usual. Height wise, the two have quite the difference in stature, though Pip makes up for it in personality most times. You never look at him as being less, because Paisley’s absolutely sure he could take on possibly five guys his size. He’s a tough person, it just seems like that’s who he is, or how he was raised to be. Small doesn’t suit him.
Words make his stomach twist, lanky form sinking down beside him, blatantly worried gaze scanning over tear-streaked features, almost appearing to be attempting to will them away with just the power of his gaze alone. He wishes it were that easy.
❝ What ‘r you talkin’ about? I talk to you because I like you, doofus. You draw me flowers, and agree that my ugly mug is drop-dead gorgeous. Somethin’ that I appreciate, by the way. You’re not a piece of shit, and ‘m not afraid to argue day and night with anyone who says otherwise. ❞
"No, no, you don't get it."
There was far too much guilt that sat on his shoulders. It was something that he wondered if he was alone on. So many people that he had grown up with seemed to do the things they do so easily, without even breaking a sweat. Now here he was, so far away from it all, and he felt as if he would never be able to move on from any of it. It felt as if he were being crushed by it all constantly. As if he would never be able to get away.
"I'm a bad person. I-I just, I go around, and I get in fights, and I'm just bad."
He was struggling to properly describe all of the bad that he had done, even in his short time here. All he ever did was fight, and swear, and hurt people. It was how he had grown up, and it wasn't the kind of thing that just went away. A lot of the time, he felt like he was just doomed to be like that forever. And that was something he hates the idea of.
"I just wanna be good."
( text ; evan ) yeah uh about that ( text ; evan ) so Id love to say no ( text ; evan ) but yeah I ate some ( text ; evan ) and got sick ( text ; evan ) whoops
( text ; evan ) I have a stupid allergy ( text ; evan ) it makes me sick ( text ; evan ) but it still tastes really good ( text ; evan ) im in hell
I can’t believe you did that.

Tears scare him. He doesn’t quite know how to handle them, and for that he doesn’t particularly enjoy dealing with them. Happiness is the aspect he achieves easily and gifts onto other to the best of his abilities. It’s an emotion he likes feeling himself, and seeing others feel, as well. Smiles are truly infectious after all. They’re things of sunlight, as is joy in itself.
Sadness, however, just feels dreary, it hangs on like cloudy days, and it’s hard to shake. Tears always seem to coincide with said days, making them that much worse. If he knew how, he’d choose the superpower of stopping peoples bad days before they hit them – especially those of loved ones, and friends. Pip Harper obviously included.
Pip, from what Paisley’s found out, is a fairly tough guy, crying isn’t in his nature. And while, Paisley dislikes crying, he can admit that sometimes it’s a healthy solution. Bottling things up will only make it worse, you might as well just let out a good cry and get it over with. Even if doing that makes yourself, and others uncomfortable.
❝ –I’m not…. Are you okay? ❞
He doesn’t remember the last time that he had been caught crying, but he remembers all the times in the past when things had gone badly. When he was younger, he had been different, a much more sensitive kid than you would expect, and it had sent him home with black eyes, only to get disappointed looks from his parents. His whole life had been teaching him how wrong it was for him to cry, and even now he still hated himself for it. He hated himself a lot.
“No.”
Everything about him looks completely and utterly broken right there in that moment, his height only proving to make him look even more tiny and weak. It was something that most people would never get to see, and he had been trying to hard to hide. Maybe this was really just who he was, and all he ever did was lie. It was something that he thought about far too often.
“Wh-Why do you even talk to me?”
Something that might seem a little bit out of the blue, but he’s been thinking of it since the moment Paisley had first spoken to him, since the moment he had even first smiled at him. The fact of the matter was that Paisley was a million times better as a person, and that he was the exact opposite of everything Pip was supposed to grow up to be. There was no way that he could ever be good enough for someone like him.
“I’m such a piece of shit.”
uh give me parental figures for pip?
Are you crying?
@choosegccd || from here
“No, I’m not fucking crying.”
Despite his words, which were spoken with a cracked voice, it was obvious he was. It wasn’t something that he could control, as somedays, his family just got to him. All the talk about Ben was about how important it was that he do this and that to prepare for ruling the kingdom, because of how important he was, and then when they turned to Pip? Talk about how he could never seem to do anything well enough for them. All he wanted was to get away from it all, which he hadn’t done a great job of, apparently.
“What? You wanna laugh or something?”
