Alien from LA, movie poster illustration by Larry Salk, 1988
Here's some sci fi work from the last couple of years. Not been doing as much of it recently as I've been more interested in mundane subjects but I do have a lot of fun doing sci-fi/fantasy stuff
"I know chatgpt is bad but you just don't really have any choice" you literally do. Don't use it. Have some moral backbone.
it's been like 2 years. i havent touched it. never needed to. "you don't really have a choice," are you so swift to forget the recent past? Bitch i still use itunes to download mp3s to so i have them forever and any song i want, then my sister burns them to CDs. When boycotts rolled out my other sister got no thanks to scan what products we shouldn't buy. i still use corded headphones not because "its older" but because it's easier. a fool criticizes those who buy candles 200 years after the invention of the electric light until the power goes out. become ungovernable. you are not immune to propaganda. you've never had Chatgpt forced upon you, the only thing forced upon you is the idea that Chatgpt is forced upon you. why claim you need something today that you didn't need yesterday. little bitch.
Emotional Walls Your Character Has Built (And What Might Finally Break Them)
(How your character defends their soft core and what could shatter it) Because protection becomes prison real fast.
✶ Sarcasm as armor. (Break it with someone who laughs gently, not mockingly.) ✶ Hyper-independence. (Break it with someone who shows up even when they’re told not to.) ✶ Stoicism. (Break it with a safe space to fall apart.) ✶ Flirting to avoid intimacy. (Break it with real vulnerability they didn’t see coming.) ✶ Ghosting everyone. (Break it with someone who won’t take silence as an answer.) ✶ Lying for convenience. (Break it with someone who sees through them but stays anyway.) ✶ Avoiding touch. (Break it with accidental, gentle contact that feels like home.) ✶ Oversharing meaningless things to hide real depth. (Break it with someone who asks the second question.) ✶ Overworking. (Break it with forced stillness and the terrifying sound of their own thoughts.) ✶ Pretending not to care. (Break it with a loss they can’t fake their way through.) ✶ Avoiding mirrors. (Break it with a quiet compliment that hits too hard.) ✶ Turning every conversation into a joke. (Break it with someone who doesn’t laugh.) ✶ Being everyone’s helper. (Break it when someone asks what they need, and waits for an answer.) ✶ Constantly saying “I’m fine.” (Break it when they finally scream that they’re not.) ✶ Running. Always running. (Break it with someone who doesn’t chase, but doesn’t leave, either.) ✶ Intellectualizing every feeling. (Break it with raw, messy emotion they can’t logic away.) ✶ Trying to be the strong one. (Break it when someone sees the weight they’re carrying, and offers to help.) ✶ Hiding behind success. (Break it when they succeed and still feel empty.) ✶ Avoiding conflict at all costs. (Break it when silence causes more pain than the truth.) ✶ Focusing on everyone else’s healing but their own. (Break it when they hit emotional burnout.)

You recently found out you're an eldritch being from beyond the known universe and you're terrified.
You're taking human form, you don't remember your life as an entity, you only remember who you are as a person. You tried to find what you remember as your childhood home but it's not there. Your parents and siblings are false memories implanted into you for reasons beyond human comprehension. When you miss them you miss your own falsehoods.
You sometimes wonder how close this form you've taken actually is to humanity. Its all you remember, but the way your body feels to inhabit, and the way your human mind works, could be entirely different and you'd never know. You wonder if you should think of yourself as being like a human at all or just a philosophical zombie, surrounded by people from a species you'll never truly understand.
When you first took human form you were found laying naked in some alien ruins. You had powers that people knew were tied to a powerful entity but they could have never known that that entity was you. You befriended and worked with other humans with powers, sorcerers, mutants, people using alien technology, but all of them were human in the end in a way you aren't.
You've taken a form more similar to your true form a few times, you wonder if that's the real you. It's probably a form much more human and comprehensible then the real you is but still that monster seems more like the real you then anything that passes as human. You don't want to admit it but it feels so much more natural and comfortable to be in that body then it is your own. Humans with powers like yourse feel wrong using their powers, yet you feel so wrong pretending to be human.
Your human self has freinds and people who care for them. You wonder if they care for the real you or if they care for some strange reflection of you. You wonder if the creature you truly are could care for them, or if that's just something granted by this form. And if you do care for them as an inhuman entity what that will mean, and what you'll do to and for them when the time comes for you to revert to your immortal form. You've seen them afraid of you, you wish you could tell them that they didn't have to be afraid of you.
You're reverting more and more to your true self. It's weird to be afraid of becoming someone who you always were. You have flashes of memories that your human self can't understand but that you can. You wonder if you'll miss having once been a person. You'll wonder if you'll be able to understand what you once were at all.
it’s awesome how we have unlimited chances to become a better version of ourselves
(Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird)
Life is right now. While you’re waiting for your dream job, your future spouse, your goal weight, a new home, a change in appearance. Life is happening while you are working on mastering a skill, being in the unknown, not knowing which way to go, feeling stuck. Most of life happens in the waiting. Not in the achievements or successes which are nothing but milestones. Don’t wish the time you have away waiting for something that lives in the future. Look around. What does today offer that you might not want to miss?
Authentic bisexual stories are long overdue. For too long, the experiences of bisexual individuals have been erased, misunderstood, or reduced to harmful stereotypes. It’s time to change that. Bisexuality isn’t a phase, a stepping stone, or something defined solely by the gender of a partner it’s a valid, vibrant identity with challenges, joys, and triumphs. The world needs stories that reflect this truth, stories that capture the full spectrum of bisexual experiences: love, struggle, identity, and community.
These stories matter deeply. They break down barriers, challenge stigma, and foster understanding. For someone questioning their identity, seeing an authentic reflection of themselves can be life changing. For allies and advocates, these narratives can be powerful tools to build empathy and support. Every story told with care and honesty brings us closer to a world where bisexual voices are heard and valued.
This is a call to action. Writers, creators, and advocates: the time to tell these stories is now. Each story is a step toward visibility and acceptance, a way to celebrate bisexual lives in all their complexity and beauty. The world is ready for these narratives are you ready to share them? Let’s commit to living our truth, one story at a time, and ensure that bisexual experiences are seen, understood, and celebrated. Together, we can create a future where everyone feels recognized and valued.
Intelligence isn't real. Locking in isn't real. Manifesting isn't real. Tryharding isn't real. Nobody has a divine feminine, or a love language, or a humoral temperament. Men aren't real. Women aren't real. The club is a projection. The world is not a hologram. There are no afterlives, sacred frequencies, or psychological archetypes. Your body is a temple but like, one of those Sumerian ones that was mainly for storing grain. Epicurus was right. Get it twisted and always be twisting it.
