Can’t get angry at Marius because he loves him. Can’t get angry at the Children of Darkness because he’s still a part of it. Can’t get angry at the slavers who hunted him down because they’re gone. Can’t get angry at the ship’s captain because he’s gone. Can’t get angry at any of the countless people who hurt and abused him because they’re all gone. Can’t get angry at any of it because it was a lifetime ago. It’s too little, too late. Guess there’s no one left to be angry at besides people who remind him of his own victimhood.
Show-only IWTV fans: what do you like?
So obviously the IWTV show is doing really well. It's constantly trending, has high critical reviews, and AMC puts enough trust in it to be the flagship of several spinoffs like the Talamasca series.
But as someone for whom the books were my very first Special Interest (TM), I can't approach the show from a fresh perspective. As much as I try to enjoy it as an AU/original story, I can't un-know over a decade of book fandom. Which means it's very hard for me to see what someone else is seeing in the show, or what they might enjoy about it.
This is not trying to be snarky or dismissive, I am genuinely very curious what people who have never read the books like about the show.
Take, for example, Season 2 Episode 3. I was really excited for this one because Nicolas de Lenfent is my favorite character. But the backstory of Lestat and Armand, from the perspective of a book fan, seems choppy and heavily edited. Main characters are missing, Lestat just shows up with a cross with no explanation for how he knew that would work, the dynamics between the characters are different. Among fellow book fans, a lot of the reactions I was seeing were along the lines of "Lol, this is Armand's Wattpad fanfiction of events".
But I imagine the intention of the showrunners wasn't to make people laugh at those scenes. It's hard for me to imagine how the scenes wouldn't seem random and kind of a pointless tangent if you don't know the underlying canon. So I'm genuinely interested to find out how that section came across to show fans, as well as what show fans like and get out of the show in general.
I actually do think the showerunners were trying to make you laugh. I haven't read the books, but I know some plotpoints.
If you remember in season one Louis tried to make it out like both him and Claudia were shaken by killing Lestat, but Daniel pushes back on it and then the memory changes. We're seeing what Daniel is being told with some extras that haven't been explained yet.
So that scene specifically is not an acurate retelling of what happened between Armand and Lestat, but what Armand wants Louis and Daniel to believe is what happened between him and Lestat.
So I would argue that the showerunners did want you to laugh at it. I mean the showy fairytale prince way that Lestat showed up. That scene at the opera where Lestat ravages Armand while Nicki angrily and jealously plays violin is so overly dramatic. It seems very intentional.
If Megan had 15 abortions in a year her cycle on doubletime and she is outrageously fertile. She's 29 this year even if she got pregnant once a year that's ridiculous, especially cause she be mentioning condoms and Plan B a lot. She also has a Bachlors degree in health administration so.... I do not believe it. However if she did it still isn't a diss cause why have a kid you don't want?
Y'all gon have to work a lot harder ok these lies 💀 The WAP Lady fucks around and doesn't wanna be a mom doesn't hit.
i really do hate white ppl why are they like 'name 5 usher songs' in response to him being announced for the super bowl like that's hard? USHER? USHER OF BURN, CONFESSIONS, MY BOO, YEAH, LOVE IN THIS CLUB, DJ GOT US FALLIN IN LOVE, U REMIND ME, NICE & SLOW, OMG, AND GOOD KISSER FAME???????? look. if you hate listening to black music just say that let's not LIE

This site has been going around Twitter trans accounts quite a bit lately, so just pointing out here too that it'll do fuck all, they're exploiting trans people at a time when hrt is particularly hard to access and please don't give them your money
fuckin exploitative bullshit marketed in the worst way imaginable

No actually, this needs to be in the body of the post.
This isn't someone looking to make a quick buck off the backs of desperate trans women.
This is someone who is gathering a hit list. This person may use your info for active swatting, but not just that, this product will kill you.
This product is outright dangerous. This dose of ashwagandha is ASTRONOMICAL. It's anxiolytic - meaning that it causes agitation and anxiety - and if you take this dose every day you'll be developing serotonin syndrome within 4-6 weeks, and an ER trip/death within 8. And if you're on medications that interact (SSRIs, antipsychotics, most kinds of opiates) or alcohol, this risk is magnified.
This person wants to KILL YOU.
Also the photo they're using for the founder is AI generated. The easiest tell is the neck tattoo seemingly merging with the collar of the shirt, and none of the locs actually having an end that connects them to the scalp.
There's a terf in the comments screeding about how this totally isn't a rightwing psyop and it's asian fetishizing trans ppl obsessed with anime doing this, so here's some irrefutable proof that it is, in fact, a right-wing dox honeypot!
If you go to any post by TheQueerQuirk on Twitter and replace the username part of the url with transaretr8ors it will redirect you to the same tweet with the new username, indicating that TheQueerQuirk's old username WAS in fact transaretr8ors. You can test this yourself.
They're also stealing images from r/transtimelines for fake reviews.
Their domain name was registered on June 2 and the address marked is a common scam address (seemingly of the Icelandic Phallological Museum).
THIS IS A HONEYPOT. THEY'RE COLLECTING ADDRESSES. YOU COULD BE SWATTED, HAVE YOUR IDENTITY STOLEN, OR AT THE VERY BEST RECEIVE A PRODUCT THAT WILL CAUSE SEROTONIN SYNDROME.
SPREAD.

Culture isnt an excuse. Babies arent dolls, theyre people. Dont alter others bodies without consent purely for looks.
Don't project that's weird.
Superhero movies will always swing right passed the point until they stop making the villains poor people who are tired of bullshit but allow for their own to be casualties in their war and billionairs the heroes.
And don’t make me ask what this accomplished fifty times tbh. Whenever writers are ready to talk about how they attribute white terrorism tactics to social justice movements and make an incomprehensible mess let me know.
look i dislike the corporate artyle book cover trend as much as the next person but we cant pretend every book looking the same is something new. if you stepped into a bookstore in 2013 there would be approximately 57 books whose cover art consisted of a girl in a ballgown with her back half-turned to the camera photoshopped into a vaguely fantasy-like landscape. i was 11 years old fighting for my life to find the right maximalistic girl and her single-adjective book title we cannot forget the horrors i went through please be respectful of my experiences
