I view witchcraft in the same way that I do vitamin supplements. Vitamins can help boost you up if you’re deficient in certain things, but if you ate nothing but vitamins, you’d still be very unhealthy. Witchcraft is the same way. If you need help finding a job, a job spell can help increase your chances after you submit a job application. However, if you ignore mundane means and only ever use witchcraft, you’ll never reach your full potential.

It didn’t occurr to me until just now how incredibly old the Theoi are…They’ve been here for millennia, watching the very course of human history unfold. And here I am. I am not a greek at the foot of a massive, beautiful temple, but a young girl worshipping Them in her kitchen and praying to them during her chemistry class. As long as we love Them, They will live forever and ever. It’s so humbling and absolutely beautiful.

I am happy to present my own Wamily’s version of finding your signifier card using a Tarot deck.  (Wamily, just in case you don’t know, is a witch family.)  

Please keep in mind that this is a practice passed down and developed by a handful of witches related to me, and isn’t the process that every cartomancer uses.  I hope this helps you on your witchcraft journey!

My own signifier card was found when I was a wee little witch.  I chose the Chariot (which, if you know me personally, is Salt through and through.)  My strengths and limitations are very much found in this card and I am drawn to its imagery indefinitely.

There is no wrong way to read tarot. There is no right way to interpret the cards. Tarot completely relies what each card means to you; be it the written meanings behind the card or your own meaning.

Thats why, if youre starting out, it can be difficult to know where to start. My advice to you is: trust your intuition and do what you feel is natural. Trust yourself.
