Figuratively, or completely not at all. Behemo merely keeps his smile and looks over at Adam, admittedly being bored of his self-sacrificial traits.

Our Alice. Behemo’s sounding so condescending already. But saying ‘our Alice’ gives him a good feeling– he and Levia took ownership of Maria Moonlit and that was that. Somehow, anything that involved Levia seemed as if everything they did would fall in step.
“She’s my mother. I can’t just sit by and let them use her like some doll.”
He loves his mother dearly. So he has to. No matter what anyone says.
