Love was difficult but never unobtainable. To achieve true euphoria, one needed to work at it. That’s exactly what Alex did. He was working towards it everyday and Sammy was his ticket there. The door swung open and there she was. He hit the jackpot. “Hey.” A quick hug and he could smell the food from the kitchen. Once he stepped in, he smiled. “My day? I didn’t do much.” He lied. The thing about working for love, is someone needs to actually work for it. So he did. So he does. “How was your day?”

Every morning he checks her social media pages: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter. Then he follows her to work. Close distance but never close enough for her to see. He hated her friends and even moreso, he hated her exes. These were the things that he needed to keep an eye out for. The dragons guarding the castle.

“oh, no fun!” she said with a light laugh, spilling a bit of wine and brushing it off of her countertop with her thumb before sucking it off of her finger and turning to hand a glass of wine to him. she took a sip from her own, smiling over at him before setting her glass back down and answering his question. “well, work was... shit. my boss hates my new column, so i have to fuckin’ start over from scratch. it’s bullshit. i think she just hates because her husband flirted with me at the christmas party and i didn’t pretend to forget.” she told him, sighing before picking up their plates and moving to set them down on her dining table. “but... i shouldn’t get all worked up. i know i’m a good writer.” she explained, taking her glass from the kitchen and sitting down at the dining room table. “i made chicken, you’re not vegan or vegetarian, are you?”

ezra often got sick of the long work hours, but they went by a lot smoother when he got focused on one of the gorgeous women he worked with. “i do, but... i’m sure it can wait.” he said as his eyes slowly slid back up to meet hers, smirking over at her. “i’m sure it’d get a done a lot faster if you’d help.” ezra offered with a light chuckle.

sammy had been working on dinner for the last couple of hours, wanting her night to be perfect with alex. she didn’t normally meet guys this nice and normal and she was trying not to think he was too good to be true. she put their food on plates right as she heard their special knock and she opened the door in her apron, a wide smile crossing her face as she looked at him. “hey, you.” she said, pulling him into a tight hug before letting him in and closing the door behind him. “wine. let me get you some wine and you can tell me about your day.” she said, rushing back into the kitchen to pour some wine.

“cherry...” he said with a grin. this was too easy. she was hot, had red hair, and was named cherry? ezra was starting to think he was in the middle of some kind of wet dream before he realized that he hadn’t replied to her words. “i’m ezra. it’s good to meet you before all of your gold medals. think you’ll remember me?”

Evie’s gentle fingers tugged her hand up, and Goldie found herself softly cupping her supple breast. “Of course, all in the name of research…” Her voice dropped to a low murmur, words trailing off. Nimble fingers squeezed the soft flesh, and she sighed softly at how lovely Evie’s skin felt. “Hmm…” Her other hand raised, cupping the other and squeezing. Goldie tugged softly at her left nipple, then her right, pulling them into tight peaks. Once they were suitably hard, she gave one a sharp twist, grinning at Evie as she did. She continued teasing that breast as her other hand trailed down her waist, and over the curve of her hip. “Hands on is better. You’re right.” Fingernails traced over the her hip to the top of her thigh, running up and down in slow, teasing motions. 

evie gasped softly as she felt goldie squeeze her breast, loving the feeling of her hands entirely too much to care about the drawing, if she even did in the first place. she closed her eyes, her back arching slightly to push her chest further into goldie’s hands as she cupped the other. evie let out a moan as goldie teased her nipples, opening her eyes to look at her and letting her eyebrows furrow slightly as she let out a light groan at the way goldie twisted her nipple. “fuck...” she muttered, closing her eyes again as goldie teased her. “you’re driving me crazy,” evie finally admitted.

Fingers traced up and down her arm somewhat mindlessly. “Well… if you’re the expert then you tell me… where should my hands start?” 

“what can i say? i have good taste.” she teased, her eyes on goldie until she saw her toss her notepad aside. evie laughed lightly, sitting up and biting her lip when she felt goldie’s hand at her arm. “well, you could always start here.” she suggested softly, her hand guiding goldie’s to her breast. “if i were you, i’d really focus on getting these right. for your drawing, of course.

she didn’t seem to be totally put off by his age so he grinned, crossing his arms over his chest as he sat back and watched the show she was about to put on. he cheered as she came back onto the ground, smiling over at her as he clapped. “see? i’m easily impressed.”

evie couldn’t help smirking at goldie’s words, tilting her head slightly as she kept her eyes on her. if it was up to her, they would’ve already hooked up by now, but she was definitely attempting to play the long game. “i think hands-on gets the job done a lot faster, actually.” she countered, chuckling lightly before sighing again, sounding much happier this time. “whatever i want? you included?”
