It should’ve been just like every other Friday night. A shared evening of shenanigans with your roommate and best friend Eddie. A night of the two of you doing whatever you pleased. “Alright. Fine. Um…Okay.” He says, racking his brain. “I have a crush on Henderson’s mom.”

“Whatever.” You say, humoring him “Give me the other two.”
“Alright….” Eddie looks up at the ceiling, trying to think of something “…In high school I tried to light the football field on fire and got caught so now I have a criminal record for attempted arson…..and….I have a dick piercing.”
You practically spit out your drink, almost choking on the last thing he had said.

Just as you were about to relentlessly give Eddie shit, he tilts his head and grins- shaking his head.
“Nope.”
“But-“ You open your mouth before immediately shutting it, your brain finally catching up to what he had said without saying it.
“No fucking way!” You shout, a look of complete disbelief on your face “Nuh-uh.”
“Hey,” Eddie shrugs “You told me to give you a challenge.”
“Yeah but-“ You utter “There’s no….you’re fucking bullshitting me.”
“Unfortunately for you, sweetheart, I’m not bullshitting.”
“Yes you are.” You reply, denying his attempts to validate himself “There’s no way you have a dick piercing.”
“Why is that so hard to believe?” Eddie asks, arching an eyebrow.
“I….I don’t know!” You retort “It just is!”
“Well, it’s true. Scouts honor.” Eddie jokes.
“You weren’t even a Boy Scout.” You point out.
“Not that you know of.” He smirks, a shit-eating grin in his lips.
“….Alright.” You say slowly “Prove it.”
Eddie was completely taken aback.
“Prove it?” He questions, his hands stilling on the neck of his guitar.
“Yeah.” You quip “If it’s true, which I know it’s not, then prove it to me.”
“So, what?” Eddie laughs “You want me to just whip my dick out and show you?”
“…I mean…If it’s the truth then what’s the issue?” You interrogate, placing your beer down onto his nightstand as you cross your arms over your chest.
“This just sounds like an excuse for you to see my dick.” Eddie says, giving you a cocky look. “Didn’t realize that you were a fucking perv.”

“Fine then.” Eddie says, getting up from the edge of the bed as he walks over to his guitar stand- setting his instrument down. “You wanna see it so bad? I’ll show you. But you have to show me something too.”
“Wait what?” You ask, eyes widening at what was happening. What even was happening?

But then your curiosity got the best of you. You knew that if you didn’t take this opportunity, the fact of whether what he said was really fact or fiction would just keep you up at night. You didn’t know what was worse. Not knowing the truth and it being a mystery forever or staring at your best friend’s penis and having to pretend that things weren’t completely awkward immediately afterwards.
