turned to him with her elbow propped up on the bar and pint clutched in hand, nana arches a thin brow; "what? you think i can't afford my own drink?" she's always been abrasive and hardly ever ladylike. gaze flickers over the changes in his expression, chuckling. he felt so sluggish in his gigai, as if encumbered by an invisible weight. not only that but the weather was stifling, sweat prickled the nape of his neck, ends of his mullet damp with it. gross. and, to top it all off, he's fairly sure he's lost amongst the throngs of people in this city. he's about to go off in the direction of the food vendors lined along the street when he feels a surge of energy to his right. it was ... different from the usual spiritual energy that emanated from shinigami. wandering through the crowd, he stops just short of the culprit. caught staring, he sputters --- " oh ... sorry, the heat's got me all out of whack." he couldn't just come out and ask what she was. nanao is a very attentive person. she's quietly observant and takes notes of the habits, likes, dislikes, etc. of others, and even more keenly so those that she loves. she'll set aside a snack, piece of fruit, portion of food of something she knows you like. she asks 'have you eaten yet?'. she wakes up early to check in on their subordinates and make sure they're all doing well and are up to date on their tasks. she runs a tight ship, but she deeply cares for all their subordinates. she goes out of her way to spend time together. she says things like "i was thinking about you the other day" "this reminded me of you" "do you need me for anything?" "i haven't seen you around, are you all right?" she's a very busy woman, but she takes time out of her day to seek you out if she feels there's something up.

tendou has a quiet laugh, almost always a chuckle and very rarely more than that. it's like a hum in his throat that comes out in small, short breaths. if you're able to get more out of him, his open-mouthed laughter is more of a 'HA!' and then a slightly more obvious version of his usual laugh.

seto is a fidgeter. one specific type is pinching each of her fingertips, it keeps her grounded. another is, she often wears ribbons in her hair and sometimes she'll coil it around her fingers or just rub the ends between her fingers.

she is a very routine-oriented person, which makes her predictable but she likes the structure. interruption in certain routines can leave her feeling a little frazzled and out of sorts, but in an ever changing environment / especially when bigger things are going on and she can't have that routine everyday like she usually does, she can manage. she will just do them in smaller ways or increments, or find ways to self soothe so she doesn't get super frustrated over it.

when she's extra nervous, she grips her zanpakuto's strap and runs her nails against the leather.
