hello! i've been following a lot of samblr blogs + reading a lot of supernatural fanfiction for a few months, and i finally caved and started a blog!

i'm an adult in my early 20s, i'm aspec, and my pronouns are she/her. my childhood nickname was moose, so i kind of felt like i had to go with it for my url lol

i probably won't post wincest myself and tend to focus on character-driven content over ships, but i don't really care who follows me! just a warning that i can and will make everything about sam <3 i'm also kind of fascinated by the structure of masculinity within supernatural and how a lot of the mainstream fandom attempts to subvert that without actually taking the time to understand it, but that might be the english major in me!

the reason why I hate when people characterize Sam based on his size is because they use that as a basis and excuse for turning him into something he’s not, a dominant piece of shit which is often used to switch around character dynamics that he has with others like Dean or whatever. you’re mentioning his size and comparing him to these huge animals based on nothing other then what he looks like and I don’t like that because it’s just directly contrasting with his personality and everything that he has gone through to turn him into the person he is today, like to me I compare him and relate him to things based on his personality and the things he has gone through and that’s how it should be but when you do it just based on his height and imposing nature to me in most cases you’re ignoring who is he and relating things back to him based purely on a physical level instead of analyzing and deciding what fits with him based on how he acts, his kind and gentle nature, etc.

sam drinking demon blood is literally only bad (by samndean’s professional murderer standards especially) if you swallow the show’s conservative messaging about addiction and “monstrosity” lol. if sam had been allowed to keep his powers supernatural wouldn’t be supernatural but I actually don’t give a shit that he was drinking blood I am for real unironically saying good for her. if the precious hunter code is interfering with your feelings about it you can envision a scenario where sam could have been just like benny or garth. but again this is supernatural and there are different rules for sammy. the weak/desperate/pathetic/selfish/evil connotations would never entirely fade, because he is dean’s family. THE family. he’s like jack (or even sometimes cas) but never so peripheral as to be considered tainted enough to cast off entirely - he’s way too close to dean to be Allowed to stay dirty. if that makes sense.
