Hello and welcome! This is my art-stuff-only blog and I'll be your host, in which "I" means @afniel, also known as Nevi, Moppy, Eugene, and several other names. Honestly any of them are fine. I sign all my work as 'Moppy' and have done since 1998, which is a tradition I'm not stopping anytime soon.

I specialize in character art, especially original characters, but I dabble in a pretty broad variety of things and have done emoji, a few tattoos, menu design, brochure design, Minecraft skins, UV map editing, and even physical package design once.

I do take commissions, when my commissions are open at least. I'll keep my blog badge updated on when this is the case! For examples, pricing, and my complete terms of service, check my Wix site, linked right here for your convenience. What specific types of commissions I'm available for at the moment will be listed in this pinned post when they're open.

You wouldn't believe this is what Toxotes (a reploid OC of mine, agender and strictly they/them) started as, but they sure were specially designed as a ballerina! ...They definitely didn't stay one, though.

Also can you tell I got my start in shoujo...and then I didn't leave...I have nothing to apologize for, lol. I swear this was only going to be a sketch to get their original design down, but then I kinda just kept going. As one does.

Big fucking fan of whatever the hell kept happening to Gordon turning red and orange and whatever in HL2VRAI's premiere and I kind of hope it sticks around in the definitive cut. Long live Technicolor Gordon.

Hmm. I need to do a version of this with Wayne's hair instead of Gordon's because I have come to find out (I am extremely late to the fandom 🙏) that there's a general convention among artists to draw him that way, and I'm kinda into it. Maybe I'll do that at some point.

I also really really REALLY want to draw A[i/l]yx being the sniling sniler so sneetly because god I laughed so hard at that. AND!! Father Grigori being so cute because he IS so cute 💕 Holly is a genius ok

PSA: For fan works, reblog and like from OP

Tumblr is rolling out a new reblog/notes system that completely disregards creators. In their new system, they're taking a twitter-style approach where reblogs will have their own notes that DO NOT contribute to the original post's notes.

Because of this, creators will no longer be able to see an accurate display of likes/reblogs/etc. This is completely altering the way feedback and responses to works are going to be received on this website.

If you come across a fan work that you enjoy, please take the extra step to go to OPs original post, and leave your comment/like/reblog there. Or go one step further and send an ask to OP directly to tell them what you liked!

I really hope Tumblr staff reverses course and reverts to the original reblog system for the sake of the large base of creators who use this site to share their works, but until then, please be considerate and make sure the creators here see/feel the love.

Hey, sorry I’ve been kinda quiet, I’ve been pretty busy with other stuff and kinda not as on Tumblr as I used to be (haha thanks Tumblr you broke it for me) but I did finish up this monster of a piece. Really wanted to play with FULL BACKGROUND DESIGN, without worrying about having to design every little character feature, so. That’s what fanart’s for, right?

A-anyone else played SaGa Frontier? …No? >_> Uhh…that’s okay, it wasn’t actually good, but it was pretty great. And might be the real reason I keep my hair this shade of green IRL. Don’t judge me.

All the way back from 2019 and when I didn't have a single unified art blog, and there are a lot of things I'd do differently now, but I honestly still kinda love this piece.

I've been streaming Ultima VI on Twitch, because obviously the thing to do with a broken wrist is get back into a hobby that's really awkward with only one hand, right? The PNGtuber has been getting a workout, and now they've got a friend to hang out with: Sherry the mouse, who is an actual recruitable party member who starts with very low strength...but more than enough dexterity to make up for it, and once you level her a bit? Murder machine. Destroyer of worlds. So try to imagine that while looking at this animation of her I made to sit on my reploidsona's head.

Anyway, I've got a broken wrist, and yes, it's my main hand, because of course it has to be. So obviously the thing to do here is to learn to draw with my other hand, right? I mean I'm ambidextrous so it's worth a shot, is what I thought, and I was starting to despair after about ten minutes of barely being able to make shapes even drawing with my finger, but then some gear shift happened in my brain and I could suddenly do it.

Took a lot longer and more effort (and much higher line stabilization than I've ever needed) but hey, I have a nice new basic pngtuber for myself now. I love them. I took my Terrariasona and turned them into a reploidsona, and my partner suggested giving them my cast until I'm out of it. So! I feel cool about it. They look cute as hell in my new MMX stream layout too.

You would think that a hand injury would make someone less likely to stream, not more, but somehow I got inspired to get back into it instead (with old games that can be played mainly with one hand) and it's been fun so far.

I'm being kinda experimental and (re?)learning Procreate, which I never really learned in the first place because for some reason the brushes are so much huger than I can possibly use. If I like a brush I immediately have to turn its settings down to like 10% size. And that was after adjusting the DPI up, which helped, but not enough. I'm still very confused about why it's Like That, but I'm at least able to work with it now?

The only other time I've done Art Fight, I only managed to produce two pieces the entire month, so if I get even one more finished I'm setting a personal best. Feels good man.

(Yes, I've been attacking the hell out of the peeps on my Mega Man fanwork server, lmao.)
