Your life has always been decently normal, above average grades, average appearence, divorced parents since you were a kid and a twin brother you can't personally see until holidays, nothing too crazy. Though, this year you've got a scholarship into Paris' most prestigious highschool, the Collège Françoise Dupont! For you, it's a huge honor, for your brother in the other hand..
"It's a daycare for a bunch of spoiled rich kids!" He states through your phone while you focus on your reflection in the mirror, applying blush on your cheeks as you listen to him ramble. "I mean, how many people who don't know the basics of struggling do you think will be there? I'll tell you, they make at least a third of the school!"
You sign, sliding your backpack into your back and grabbing your phone. "Don't you have to get ready too? It seems to me you're wasting time doing only one thing at a time." He scoffs, rolling his eyes. "Eh, it's not like I'll be late, mom's driving me anyways." You let him go on for a bit more as you walk down the stairs, already snaking your gloved hand into your pocket to get your earbuds when your feet touched the last step.
"I'd looove to hear more about the evolution of nick shoes during the years, but I unfortunately have to go to school Ed." You listen to him groan but begrudgingly accept it, hearing him say "Stay safe sis. The only who can bully you is me, if anyone else does it kick their ass." before hanging up.
You open the door to your dad's workshop, looking around before spotting him under a car. "Dad?" You softly called out, watching as he slides out and makes his way towards you. "You sure you want to walk? I can drive you or give you money for the bus if you want."
You giggle at his words. "No thanks dad, and I'm sure the bus has long passed at this point, plus a little walk never killed anyone." You assured him as he just smiled. "Very well then, be safe kid."
"Will do!" You smile back, putting your earbuds in as you stepped out, strolling through the streets while listening to music until your eyes catch the sight of the immense building not so far away.
You scan the entrance, noticing a small group of four girls and one boy talking near the stairs, and a short haired ginger girl sitting alone in a bench scrolling on her phone. She..looks kind of sad.. but you don't know her, maybe she's just waiting for someone? You decide to mind your business and pass by them, stepping into the school.
While you were guiding yourself to the locker area, you didn't notice a boy running towards the same entrance you had just entered by, leading to him roughly bumping into you and you groaning by the force suddenly applied to your shoulder. He stops and looks back at you as you touch your skin.
"Sorry, I didn't see you! Are you alright?" He consulted, locking eyes with you as you stutter out a response. "Oh.. uh yeah, it's not big deal.." He smiles and waves as he turns around and runs away. What a weird guy.
Lunch time comes and goes, and your biology teacher organized a trip to the butterfly greenhouse! That you didn't even know existed inside the school..
You observed your classmates interacting between themselves and with the butterflys at the same time while moving deeper into the space, yet when you looked back you noticed a pale girl frozen outside of the door, maybe she can't open the door? You should go open it for her and maybe you can talk and—
Oh. Never mind, three dudes just showed up and are literally opening the door to her. Guess you'll just keep going. You wander forwards until you spot a beautiful lilac butterfly fixed on a rose that's, coincidentally, a shade of your favorite color. You crouch down to take a closer look, absentmindedly extending your hand closer in hopes of the small insect hopping on it.
"They're really pretty, aren't they?" A soft, gentle voice makes you snap your head in it's direction, finding a girl with cyan and pink strands dyed on her blonde hair and gorgeous blue eyes meeting yours, you scramble up and manage to let out a response. "Uh—yes! Yes they are, they're magnificent truly!" Oh my god you just sounded like a British noble in the medical era what the fuck was that.
Her mouth curved into a smile and she thankfully didn't comment on the way you just spoke. "My name is Zoe, you're new here right?" She questioned, tilting her head at you.
"Yeah.. I'm (_____)." You paused. "I like your hair. It reminds me of cotton candy." She stared at you for a while, making you doubt your way of wording sentences. "Sorry—was that too weird..?"
She giggled and shook her head. "Don't worry about it! I thought it was quite creative actually." That made you calm down. While you were distracted in a quick chat with Zoe, a sudden presence struck near you, someone—something? Doesn't matter what it was, it does matter however, that it destroyed the roof!
"Oh no.. that doesn't look good." She mumbled as she grabbed your wrist. "We have to get out of here!" She quickly guided you to a more reserved part of the building, yet left with the excuse of seeing if others need help. She's.. pretty thoughtful isn't she? Though with all this madness your first instinct is to evacuate the place. Which was proven not to be a good idea.
The figure of a grayish girl with butterfly wings enters your view a second too late, and just like that, you were trapped in a cocoon. Dizziness hit you like a truck and even if you tried to fight it, you found yourself being unwilling lured to sleep.
When you woke up, you were hit with the light of the sun, and with shadows of three people over you. "Are you alright?" You tried to look up, yet all you could see were big blurry blobs of color.
"Here, let us help you." Two arms looped below each one of your arms and pulled you up, stabilizing your body and leading you to a bench, yet you felt your head spinning like crazy. "Ugh... What happened..?" You murmured as your vision slowly returned, finally being able to see who your heros were, a petite girl with short blonde hair wearing a pink scarf, a chubby girl with almond eyes wearing overalls with a bunch of pins and a tall pale girl with cool gradient purple hair.
They looked between eachother before speaking. "There was an akumatization." Your eyes widened. "We aren't sure what exactly was the villain's objective, but you ended up caught in it."
You blinked trying to process the information. "An.. akumatization? But how? I thought—I thought Ladybug had defeated Monarch!" You urged, sliding your eyes from left to right to glance at all of them. "We did too, but it appears someone else was taken possession of the butterfly miraculous."
As your conversation continued, they offered to go back inside, as class was going to begin in a few minutes."Oh! I just remembered—we didn't introduce ourselves!"
"I'm Myrele, this is Rose," she pointed the pink wearing girl, who gave you a big smile. "and this is Juleka." The girl's greenish lips curved into a smile.
"I'm (_____), nice to meet you."
After the school day ended, you were ready to leave, you felt pretty good as you at least knew four people now, not bad for a first day. Yet, a high-pitched voice coming from behind you froze you in your tracks. "Hey!! (_____)!! Wait up!!" You turned around to see Rose, along others you didn't recognize, waving at you, and only stopped when she was right by your side. "Everyone, this is the girl I told you about! (_____)!"
Your focus shifted from her to them in seconds as you opened your mouth. "Oh. Uhhhh—nice to meet you...?" You tilted your head with a small crooked smile.
A beautiful girl stepped forward, the evening sun hitting her golden brown skin as she gently spoke to you. "I'm Alya, I'm sorry to ask, but you were one of the people trapped in a connon due to the akumatizes villain, correct?"
You nodded as a boy wearing a red cap appeared next to her. "How was it like?" Alya immediately hit him with her elbow, her face showing deep disappointed. "Ouch—! What? I just asked a question.."
That scene made you giggle. "Well.. it was certainly a unpleasant experience." You admited. "Being trapped in a connon isn't exactly how I thought my first day would be, you know?"
"Must've been scary.." Another guy said, this one had ginger short hair. "Eh, not really. I ended up asleep and only woke up when it was already over." You responded, scratching your neck as dark blue pigtailed girl observed you before speaking. "Since your new—you could hang out with us! If you want, that is."
Your eyes lit up as you answered. "Well, if I don't bother anyone—" you were interrupted by the same girl who had put her hands on her waist. "Nonsense! Simply looking at you I can already tell were going to be friends! I'm Marinette." You smiled at her. "Very well then."
"I don't mind sticking around."
