You know what I think would be a fun way for the Pitt to bring back Joy or Ogilvie even as like a guest appearance?

Give them a partner who ended up in the ER and/or works in the ER.

So like walk with me here. I’m putting it under read more bc I wrote a LOT.

So Robby is back and he’s our audience surrogate bc he’s been gone so people are explaining shit to him so that’s how we see this happen.

For Joy it would be like the sweetest nicest person ever I’m talking like preschool teacher the kindest most hard working person ever and they end up in the ER for avoiding an illness and it ends up being like their appendix or something.

So this patient is being treated and there’s like a throwaway line in an early episode about them calling their girlfriend and like 4 episodes later down comes Joy from like dermatology or something.

So Joy comes down and Robbie is like hang on wasn’t Joy super take no shit how is she with this human ray of sunshine and then it cute to Joy being like the voice who speaks up for her partner and the partner being the calm one and he’s like oh I get it.

Ogilvie’s would be similar but not quite. We’d meet in like brief passing an EMT like they’re in the background at one point only to later come in because they got hurt in whatever crisis the Pitt is dealing with that season.

And so Robbie actually interacts with them and they’re very “Abbott coded” like they are confident, blunt, and take no shit and 1000% trying to play down a very serious injury and the whole time they’re like “you guys better NOT call my boyfriend he’ll freak out” and naturally they’re like we called him already.

So the boyfriend comes down and it’s Ogilvie and Robbie is like oh great this guy again and everyone’s like no no just watch and it cuts to him all but tying his partner to the bed to get medical help and he’s fussing over them and they just interrupt him or snark at him when he gets annoying and Robbie is like ah I see now.

So in summary Joy needs a sweetheart partner to soften her and Ogilvie needs to be walked like a dog and they’re both exactly where they want to be.

Aromantic Charles Rowland is something that can be so special and I need more people to understand. He loves Edwin. He loves Edwin more than he loves anyone, and the way he loves Edwin might be a little different from how Edwin loves him but that does not make his love any less.

They’ve always been unconventional, so this thing they have (being utterly devoted to the point of walking through Hell to save one another) reflects that. They love each other, both in their own unique way, and they wouldn’t want anything else.

See, just, aromantic Charles who thinks he’s broken because he can’t give Edwin “what he deserves” and Edwin accepting everything Charles gives him happily, because he knows Charles loves him wholly and completely.

It might take them a while to figure it out, but they have forever. They carve out a place in the world together and love each other in every way possible, because being aromantic doesn’t mean Charles cares any less.
