the very important follow up question
some buds online have questions about non-dysphoric trans way so i will talk a bit to help understand. first question is 'do you believe gender of your soul (or whatever you want to call it maybe identity maybe mind) matches gender of your body'. that is BIG STEP, for chuck i say 'no'
but there is another question that will come after that one. question of â but do you care?â for many there is a burning desire and craving and need to connect their soul to body in a way that feels CORRECT AND GOOD. however chucks answer is âactually i do not care at allâ
THESE STORIES OF DISCONNECTION ARE IMPORTANT but they are not EVERY STORY. technically yes chucks body and soul are mismatched but guess what, i dont even think about. it is a TECHNICAL truth in same way as the color of my eyes. now sometimes buds who feel dysphoria will sayâŚ
âwell now buckaroo, this sounds like MY trot in early days just GIVE THEM TIME to understand themselves they are on their way to a change and they WILL careâ. but i would caution against this buckaroos. i understand this is a way of empathy and love but there are problems here
in similar way of bisexual community, i am glad we have gotten to the point of understanding that bisexuals are NOT just gay buckaroos who havent figured it out yet (said many times in past) by same token, not all nondysphoric trans buds are really dysphoric and dont know yet
POINT IS we are all trotting along on our OWN path. there are things that make buckaroos on this timeline SO SIMILAR and other things that make us SO DIFFERENT but these stories are ALL important and all deserve to be told. and one of the best ways to prove love is to TELL YOURS

When you understand where the words dirty and holy intersect, you will have found the secret to everything.

Truly enjoying the weird and wonderful art series my daughter started for Midnights.
Equally enjoying knowing that between the two of us listening on the same account, we are in the top 0.5% of Taylor Swift fans this year. That feels like a real achievement.
sure part of the queer experience is being othered but an even bigger and more powerful part is belonging to the othereds
someone finally put it into words. yeah. being socially alienated is upsetting but it is an entirely unique feeling to look that alienation and say âactually, no. iâm the one rejecting you. i have my own space full of the other people you alienated and itâs even better than what you have going on.â
the sense of belonging you can gain from a group of socially alienated people coming together feels so much like a rebirth that it may as well be one.

yeah.
I need people to stop condemning something because it is "criminal" and start asking "is it harmful?"
I need people to stop condemning something because it is "deviant" and start asking "is it harmful?"
I need people to stop assigning notions of criminality and deviance to harm, and start asking "how do we prevent harm? how do we mitigate it? what do those harmed need to be safe and heal? how can we support these processes?"
