"I don’t know. We have to hook up with Doctor Lightcap and figure things out from there. No…" Change of plans, though he was making this up as he went. "Geiszler. We have to find Geiszler. He’ll know what’s going on."
Mako looked at Raleigh with confusion in the big brown eyes. But the calttering of metal beyond her door told her things would only get worse waiting around and asking questions. “Wait.” she released Raleigh’s hand and pulled the swords that decorated her wall. They were sharp, but they were also small. “Here take one.” she offered him, tossing the sheath to the side because she saw no point in it without something to hook it on.
“Lets go find Newt.” she nodded.
He’d never used any weapons outside of what his Jaeger had and his own fists. But there were some memories, not quite his, but enough that maybe he’d be able to fight. Raleigh took one of the swords, though he kept his in its sheath. “He should be in the lab,” he said. He glanced out into the hallway. “If we hurry, we might be able to make it without encountering anything too dangerous.”
After her fight with that creature that was posing as an intern. Mako felt the tremble in her hand, she was ready for anything. She was terrified of what was out there but she was ready for it. She wasn't going to let Stacker die in vain. That all this was coming up again and he had died for nothing. She could feel the anger get a grip on her. The control she fought for was breaking, but she head Raleigh speak, and that seemed to cut through the darkness.
“Right.” she nodded, hurrying out the door with her sword in hand. Despite the screaming, the desire to help those getting attacked, she kept to course.
