These scenes tug so hard at my heartstrings (ಥ﹏ಥ):

- Papá Héctor sharing a worried look with Miguel as he’s forced to watch him be at the mercy of Ernesto, being too weak to save him

- Papá Héctor’s horrified expression as his beloved great-great grandson is then thrown to his death; reaching out with a futile hand as he bellows a highly distraught, “No!”

- Ernesto then mockingly telling Papá Héctor that the show must go on. Papá Héctor is visibly in disbelief and immensely heartbroken after just witnessing his former best friend murder one of the people he cherishes the most; seeing that things never change.

To Papá Héctor, this was when his whole world just crashed all around him. He has endured and lost so much. He has grown so very fond of Miguel shortly after their meeting; his fatherly instincts being present not long after, especially after learning the truth. ;A; Ernesto you…

Héctor: “Relax mi amor, I’ll do an orderly job just the way you like it…” :3

Victoria: “ Héctor, Are you alright? Héctor!? I’m sorry, I didn’t know you were here!

Victoria: “Wait, I’ll help you! Don’t worry, it’s my fault too, I should have knocked!”
