Rowen Wynder. He’s literally the other half of Dorian, the Yin to his Yang. Ever since they met at the base for initiation, they’ve been bound to one another. Where Rowen’s symbol is fire, Dorian’s water; they balance each other out. It didn’t matter that they weren’t actually ‘blood’ brothers, their connection made them family. They endured months of torment at the base and survived because they had each other to lift morale. When the time came for them to be released, it turned out that the reason for their being there was exactly the same: Ryan. She decided to teach both Dorian and Rowen a lesson for not following her wishes. Those who were sent to the base where punished for various reasons, and when they would come out their character was bound to be altered so they wouldn’t defect from their respective cults. After all the two had been through you’d think they’d never clash, but they did. Years later they had a falling out, Dorian believed Rowen was the cause of the copycat cult on the loose finding their hideout which led to him getting infuriated. He did something no one could see coming, he knocked the other down in a state of desperation and immersed him into the lake, nearly suffocating him. This was what he did to other people, the way he killed people who didn’t matter, not the ones he loved. Tears followed as his hands gripped Rowen’s neck and the weight of his body held him down, how could he do this to his brother? He didn’t want him dead, he wanted him hurt, so he let go and allowed himself to collapse beside the figure of his brother. He was a wreck, unable to stop sobbing after that. Dorian didn’t kill Rowen, but he sure did hurt him.
