I walk a lonely road the only one that I have ever known
i’m having. a week.
lmao watch this bitch lose her mind over 24 hours
My brain every time I sit down to write:
tag yourself i’m chaotic plantser
unpopular opinion: i love the evil villain monologue scene.
objectively, it’s really dumb and the villains should probably know better … but when you look at it from the perspective of the writer? they were just really effin’ proud of this whole scheme that the villain had and they wanted to make sure everyone else knew how awesome it was.
and for that reason, i believe that the evil villain monologue scene is pure and wholesome and should be defended because we’ve all been there.
this! characters shouldn’t be 100% perfectly rational and villains are no exception. hell, a lot of supervillains have an element of megalomania so it’s not like it’s out of character to put their plans on hold just to show off. nerdsync has a really great video on this very topic
a word of advice for my writer buddies that took me way too long to realize – your story doesn’t have grand to be great. Your dystopia doesn’t have to end with your protagonists changing the world, making it a great place. Your fantasy doesn’t have to end with your protagonist overthrowing the malevolent ruler. You don’t have to worry and fret over your plot not being too complicated, too large, too exciting. Sometimes less is more! If your character doesn’t end up saving the day for the rest of the world, that’s okay. They don’t need to. Succeeding in their own goal is just as good. You don’t need long, overarching plots that effect your entire universe in order to make a great story. You just need your passion and motivation- you just need to write
new writing friend pact: you have to promise if i ever start to go in the way of jk rowling, you will, as a dear friend, take a gun and shoot me dead
You don’t have to by my friend. Just do it.
@boredwriter-16
New video is up and it’s about something that’s actually kind of embarrassing how long it took me to figure out.
