Iām currently attempting to put together a zine focused on the happiness, peacefulness, and blissfulness of butch lesbians, specifically stone butches, and am looking for submissions of a variety of content. Any butches may participate even if they are not stone, Iām just centering stone identity in this work!
General outline for submissions: Please send all submissions in through email. You can contact me at [email protected]
Include your name, as well as your pronouns and age if youād like. You are also welcome to include your URL if youād like it printed with your submission! I donāt have a firm deadline as of yet, but Iām hoping to have everything ready to go by June for Pride month.
Photos: Pictures of butches laughing, smiling, happy, and/or feeling content. I would prefer you only submit photos taken by others, so no selfies, sorry! Iād especially love to see candids. Photos can be of you, you and your partner, group photos, whatever. You can include a specific caption for the photo too if youād like.
Writing: This can be introspective writing, fictional writing, poetry, a joke, a story, talking about something that makes you feel blissful, etc. Again, centering stone identity here preferably, but you can write anything related to your butchness/lesbianism. Iād also love any content relating to butch/femme relationships and dynamics.
Art: This could be just about anything, really! A self-portrait, a collage, art of your Butch Hero, an abstract work that represents your bliss. Feel free to include a title and/or caption for your art as well.
Anything else: If you have something else you want to submit that I havenāt thought to cover here or elsewhere, let me know! I just want this to be a big loving fun communal project, and I want it to reflect the community itās made by and for. Iām really excited about this and I canāt wait to have it all put together and ready for everyone to see :ā)
