{✽–;} Dropping to her knee’s out of breath, Yui looked in the distance watching the creature run off in the distance. For a good ten minutes, Yui had been running non-stop after what seemed to be a stray dog. Panting, the strawberry blonde looked up upon hearing a soft voice speak to her. “Ye-..Yeah, th... thank you.” The girl nodded and reached up to grab the hand he offered.

  With all the space she had now, Loki was finally able to start a garden and do everything she’s wanted to do. And that was exciting. Yet regardless how many times she’s helped her mother with her flowers in the past, she never learned how to garden vegetables.

Her resolve was the library. The vast amount of books at her disposal was an exciting sight as well as a labyrinth. It wasn’t as simple as the library back at the school so it seemed more of a challenge than she originally expected. After wandering around for roughly twenty minutes Loki gave in and made a b-line for the information desk and the sweet looking younger female who was stationed behind it “Excuse me, I was looking for anything you had on gardening. You wouldn’t happen to know what that is, would you?” Loki kept her kind demeanor as to not stress the fragile looking lady.

{✽–;} Time marched on after her shift began. People would come and go after short periods of time, leaving the library empty once again. Given the amount of time she had after finishing, Yui knew the building like the back of her hand. She knew where everything was. From Dystopian fiction, to memoir, to children's fantasy. Upon finishing her daily duties, the strawberry blonde sat on at the information desk watching the people come and go, usually greeting them and biding them farewell.

Most people may find a occupation like hers a tad boring. Yui, however, was pleased to have such a job. Libraries were like public gardens. A created environment of things people love being shared with other people. To Yui watching that process was satisfying enough. Occasionally people would ask Yui for help in finding certain genres. Just as the petite woman before her just had. Upon her request Yui’s expression brightened knowing she could be of use. “Probably somewhere in the six hundreds.” The library was laid out in sections that were numbered, most people wouldn’t know the numbers. With that in mind Yui figured it would be faster to help the woman if she tagged along.

Day 5: What does your muse eat for dinner? 

Generally, Yui isn’t picky when it comes to foods. Due to her health issues, she does have to be careful when it comes to consumptions of red meats and foods that are high in sodium. Usually her meals are quite small in portion, and are compatible with whatever medication she is taking. She is quite fond of seafood and vegetables, having grown up with a doctor those kinds of foods were often in her pantry/fridge.

Firstly, the glasses were fake. One of those gag glasses with a big nose on it and no lenses. Secondly, despite those times where he flirts for the fun of it– he can’t seem to say the words in English or Japanese. Ah well, better not leave the woman in her confusion.

{✽–;} Green eyes blinked upon hearing the males random outburst. The other was dressed wearing some foolish looking glasses, probably the kind you would buy at a joke store. Despite his appearance clearly telling her he was pulling her leg, bewildered, the strawberry blonde stared at him. Trying to repeated whatever he was trying to communicate to her. “S-So... Km--..? C... Cac..? Wh-..What..?” Yui tumbled over her words. Getting her tongue twisted in words that didn’t exist. 

Finally the male clarified what he was trying to say, which sound absolutely nothing like the gibberish he spewed out at first. “I-..I haven’t.” Nervously she responded still trying to link the previous phrases together. Hearing his laughter calmed her down a bit. Rather than trying to wrap her head around the gibberish, she smiled softly. “Funny and cheap things, huh? That sounds sounds fun, is it worth stopping by?”

Day 4: Would your muse choose to be loved or feared? 

Without a doubt, Yui would rather be loved. The last thing she wants is for anyone to fear her. Given her time is limited, Yui’s ultimate goal is to ensure she lives a fulfilling life. That life must include helping people, both strangers and friends. She wants to have relationships with people that involve both parties caring about each other equally.

{✽–;} It had been a rather slow day. The library that sat in an area accessible to all three major districts. It was a decent size and could fit a rather large crowd. Though usually not full, today the library was particularly empty. Yui as a library assistant restocked the shelves and helped out wherever she was asked. The stack of books to be restocked slowly shrunk smaller and smaller, near the end of her shift only one book was left. Looking through the sections of the library, she finally found the appropriate place. Quietly Yui made her way over, where one girl happened to be sitting alone reading a novel. The strawberry blonde stood on the tip of her toes to slide the book in place. However with the slightest slip of her foot, the whole book shelf fell. Nearly knocking down a second book shelf, and Yui off her own feet.

      “...Sh-...Shoot.” She panted, her heart was beating rapidly from the startle. Before crouching down to pick up the mess she made, Yui turned to the girl who had been peacefully sitting there reading. Bowing, Yui apologized. “S-..Sorry to disturb you.”

Once the girl’s voice reached his ears, Yuki immediately stopped his singing and looked around for the source of the sound. Sapphire colored eyes locked on the petite and feeble looking girl, a soft tint of pink spreading across his once pale cheeks. How embarrassing. He couldn’t believe he had been so stupid to the point of believing that nobody would appear and hear him singing.

“U-Uh..”

The male felt his chest tighten with nervousness and anxiety as he looked away from the stranger. He had no idea what to say and the awkward silence wasn’t helping at all. He never sang in front of people. Because not only did he believe that his singing voice wasn’t that great or good enough, but he also felt too anxious.

 {✽–;} As soon as that word rolled off her tongue, he stopped and swung his hand around to look at her. His face turned red and the poor man hadn’t even said a word. Realizing she had embarrassed him, the girl pulled her hans to her face and pressed them over her eyes. Clearly the other hadn’t intended for anyone to hear his singing, despite the beautiful voice he had. The strawberry orange haired girl bowed her head before apologizing.

    “…I-I’m sorry! I didn’t mean for you to stop... I’m not looking anymore,” Yui paused, still keeping her distance from the other. Although she couldn’t see him, Yui had the feeling he was still feeling a tad uncomfortable and the last thing she wanted was to worsen that. “I couldn’t help but stop and listen, it was a really moving sound.” Slowly Yui lowered her hands to see if anything she said made a difference.

     Sight set forward for a moment, eyes scanning the fields. Mitsu had seen a hint of color from her place below the hills and had decided to venture upwards. The pathway had been covered by heavily bending branches, low sweeping wisteria. Although Mitsu tended not to explore dark alleyways and abandoned houses, she had an inclination to wondering and dreaming. Within her reasoning, a place touched by nature and sunlight had to be good. 

     Expression softened and smile widened at the bending flowers and waving hues. It felt almost like a place fairies would be. Perhaps, if she walked here everyday, Mitsu would come upon a princess and a prince, godmothers and mages. She chuckled to herself, a folded hand covering her lips. It was a nice place to daydream but the rest was highly unlikely. Brushing her fingertips on a brilliant violet flower, Mitsu peeked up at the other lady. She felt a bit awkward in conversation but the other seemed friendly enough.

     Twirling forward so that she faced the girl, Mitsu smiled and leaned over. The action was something she had often seen in manga and she had practiced it enough on her own to make it seem natural, the problem then was that she forgot that actions like these were usually accompanied by words. Instead of bolstering her confident image, Mitsu struggled with following through. Giving up on the action, she straightened up, covered her face with her hands, and peeked through her fingertips. With a sigh, she folded her hands behind her, and raised her shoulders in a somewhat helpless shrug. “W-would you like to take a walk….together, that is? Unless you’d rather be on your own. That’s-that’s fine as well!”

  {✽–;} Rustling leaves blowing in the early winds.  This field of wild flowers was only a small portion of the entire island. The countless locations around the island were practically limitless at this point in time. Doors that had been left shut, were soon to be opened. A city of opportunity and chance. Yui wondered if there were more places like this here on Ikiagi Island. The island was separated into three districts, each of which had it’s own unique environment and landmarks.

Straightening her legs Yui stood up and looked across the field of flowers. It reminded her of a particular fairy tale her father once read to her. The details of the story where faded, but there was a young girl whom was granted with a particular power. When hands ran through her hair gems would fall out, and when she took a step lilies and violets would appear at her feet. It was rare father had the time to read her stories, which was why she held the few so close to her heart. Yui wanted to believe that little girl from the story was the one who created this field of beautiful flowers.

Glancing back over to the petite framed girl, the way she leaned over seemed so graceful -- Even if a few moments later she covered her face and peeked through her hands, the same way people did when embarrassed. Yui laughed softly at the action, thinking to herself she was like the image of a character from one of the many stories she had read. Hearing the girls sudden request, Yui’s smile brightened. Somehow, the other seemed a bit nervous. Yui clapped her hands together and nodded.

    “Y-..Yes! Walking around together sounds a lot more fun than wandering all alone. This place looks like it came right out of a story book, if we look around together it could be like an adventure” Yui said, allowing her childish side to become a little more clear. A sudden chill ran down her spine, followed by a shiver. It may not be good to be out in this chilly weather too long, but Yui didn’t want to spoil the fun. “Ah... It’s a little cool, are you warm enough?”

Day 3: What type of people is your muse naturally attracted to?

Yui is a rather flexible person and so long as Yui knows whoever said person is a good person at heart. Yui usually doesn’t find herself attracted to people in a way in which she would be looking at relationships, but more so attracted to them in the sense she likes to be around them. People who care about the people dear to them, even if they had a rough exterior are considered attractive to Yui. That being said pretty much anyone who Yui genuinely enjoys being around is someone she might consider attractive.

          The once warm colored sky and lingering light of the sun was obliterated by the rapidly falling night. The luminous stars freckled the ocean of blackness that engulfed the island. Some were dull, merely flickering every now and then. But there was a good amount of shimmering and vivid stars to illuminate the dark night that had taken over. Yuki sang gently, just like an angel. His bright blue eyes watching the night sky, as the faint wind brushed against his skin and through his soft, dark hair. He wasn’t aware that someone was watching him from a close distance and believed to only be accompanied by the weak illumination of his lantern. After all, he never really had the confidence to sing in front of someone.

  {✽–;} An evening walk on an early spring day, the sky once painted with an array of pinks and oranges was now fading into a deep blue. The petite framed girl wandered the dim lit street not too far from home. The air was chilly and cool to the touch. Yui paused in her tracks upon hearing a soft voice singing. Green eyes followed the source of the voice and found the silhouette of a rather tall man. Eyes widened and jaw dropped, Yui listened to the mans comforting voice as he sang from the bottom of his heart. It was amazing, truly amazing. No matter how much Yui wished and dreamt of being capable of creating such a beautiful sound, never had she been able to achieve it. Speechless, the girl stood silently. By the looks of it, the man hadn’t even noticed anyone was around. Eventually, in an almost inaudible voice, one word slipped out.

     “...Beautiful.”

Day 2: Does your muse look down on others for their musical choice?

Yui has always wanted to be a musical person, but doesn’t have the proper sense of rhythm. That being said, no matter what someones taste in music is, Yui looks up to them for being able to keep up with the song. In her opinion, however, music choice does sometimes tie in with how a person might behave, but it doesn’t define them. Since Yui herself doesn’t listen to much music, she can’t really look down on anyone for their musical choices, nor can she compare her own to other people’s.

Day 1: What does your muse do during a sleepless night?

As a result of Yui’s condition, it isn’t rare for her to have a sleepless nights. With sharp pains and trouble breathing some nights, Yui has trained herself how to cope with such nights. Generally Yui will read stories, whether she has read them before or not she is happy to read whenever she has time -- usually leaning towards reading old fairy tales. Another way Yui has learned to spend sleepless nights is to write or draw. Writing anything from short stories to poems, and drawing just about anything that popped into her head.

     For a while, Mitsu spent her morning seated among the flower beds. She had often read stories of fairies and fantastical lands and it had become a habit of hers to seek such magical places out. Laying her head down upon her knees, she closed her eyes and focused only on the cool that touched her cheeks and whispered in her ears. With her eyes closed, she could just imagine her home. It was at times like these, when daylight passed on in watching and admiring rooted beauty, that Jun or Kaori would call out her name. Mitsu bit her lip. She would not admit missing them. A voice broke her reminiscing and Mitsu opened her eyes.

     Raising her head, she took in the image of an approaching girl with a sweet face. A rather messy appearance, hair at least, combined with the stumbling question suggested a childish but amicable person. This was all Mitsu’s observance, however, but overall she registered the girl as somewhat cute in a similar sense of ducks and chicks being so.

     “Mhmm.” Nodding, Mitsu stood although she was still barely above the tall heads of grass and climbing flowers. It was quite amazing anyone could find each other at all in here and Mitsu thought quietly of coincidental meetings and possibilities. As the wind had begun to fill in the gap of their conversation, Mitsu realized that perhaps she should speak up a bit more. “You wouldn’t think a company would make such a garden. Although, perhaps all this was from the original island. Still, it’s a…a wonderful thing, right?”

   {✽–;} A warm smile tugged at her lips hearing the girls response. It felt like it had been a while since she went out like this. Only recently had she moved here for a brand new start. Back home... Nothing was very clear, her memories at least. She remembered her caring father whom she loved more than anything else in the world, and she remembered spending a lot of time in a big empty hospital room. She felt lonely often, but despite that Yui loved her life. She was happy.

The raven haired girl had blue eyes. She was a few centimetres shorter than Yui, but had a very mature face. Compared to Yui, she appeared far more structured and put together. Her expression was warm, and her voice was soft. For a first encounter it was amazing how much Yui could deduct about her. This person was good-hearted. Standing next to her in this field of rows upon rows of wild flowers felt peaceful. Meeting someone on this island in a place like this must have been more than just chance.

The strawberry headed girl nodded hearing the others comment. The fact that a institution even came up with the idea for an island where people can start from scratch is amazing. A group of people with the common goal of improving lives. The people behind the company must have been just as beautiful as the flowers they stood before now. 

      “If they really went to the trouble of doing all that, I think it’s really amazing.” Yui paused and tucked part of her hair behind her right ear. She leaned down to smell a tall flower that stood in front of her. Yui shut her green eyes and wore a peaceful expression on her face. “Actually, even if that’s not the case it’s still amazing.”

     A chilly breeze blew over the valley, bending the various colorful flowers that painted the ground. Mitsu knelt down among the flowers and the grass so that only her head was visible above the foliage. Although she had only just moved to Ikigai, Mitsu had been quick to find the scenic side of the island.

    {✽--;} The cool air early in the spring morning was a tad chilly, but had a refreshing feeling to it. The vibrant colours of the newly budded flowers peaked from the green grass that only recently sprouted again.  Visiting the valley early in the morning was certainly worth while. Her strawberry blonde hair fluttered in the wind as she walked down a grass path. Wearing a bright smile on her face, the girl looked at the flowers that surrounded her. They were captivating. Although one patch of flowers didn’t seem quite right... It was a girl crouched down in the greenery.

       “Th-..They’re beautiful, aren’t they?”
