some concept of the 3 main routes of the VN and their representations
the base of the game is for Cale to choose a dessert to go on an mini adventure.
for this I thought the better options were:
Alberu : as an cookie dough ice cream (aproved by Raon). His plate is fancier than the others bc nothing less would be provide to the crown prince. As well as his title is show nwith him being above the other 2, lit being the sun he is.
Choi Han : his dessert is a coffee flan, sweet, simple, and delicious. It doesn’t require much preparation, in fact, it could almost be considered a bit childish. But the more you eat the more you notice a deep, bitter undertone that reveals a depth that creates a balance.
His chibi being the only one at your (or the ground) level offering you the spoon to eat. Showing his caring nature.
After thinking it over, I think a caramelized apple is the best fit:
1. Choosing an apple pie would be too obvious but since you have a choice it’s better to pick something his Cale-nim likes.
2. Being the literal snake that he is, he’d be the kind of enemy who’d pretend to be a worm just to bite you when you get close to the apple.
3. It’s not just any apple, but a caramelized one, sweet, very sweet, almost so sweet that it seems like he wants to cover up the rotten taste under layers of frosting and sugar.
4. Coincidentally, it’s the only dessert that requires a knife if you want to eat it leisurely.
Unlike the others, who are out in the open, his chibi is partially hidden, smiling and waving for someone else to come closer. If you couldn’t see through objects, you wouldn’t notice the sword he’s hiding.
