drew danny brown and underscores heehoo
seeing them live was the dopest shit ever
you guys should follow me on bluesky
having a perfectly balanced party of six min maxed characters is awesome because it means I get to actively try to kill them every session at level four
next session I'm going to have them fight against an infernal clown with unlimited Misty step and a giant flying juggernaut that moves at 45ft a turn and hits for 3d6 + 4 simultaneously (lair actions too). also just some guy with a knife will be there as well. despite this fact, I highly doubt that even a single player will be downed

Night 1.
Also no wonder your opinions are shit, folk punk retard.
??? folk Punk ???
I just really don't understand how someone looks at my profile and gets folk Punk. what about me says folk Punk. how am I folk punk. no hate towards folk Punk. totally respect it and can see myself enjoying it in the future but pick nearly any other genre and you'd be closer to accurate
Also no wonder your opinions are shit, folk punk retard.

also this was their previous ask

hey maybe calling the Israelis at pride "devils" (as fucked up as their purpose and signage was) is the wrong angle to be coming at this with
you see a man holding up a sign mocking on ongoing genocide his country is committing, and you're worried about which insult i used to describe them.
The trouble is when you use terms that have alternate and fucked up historical context, it undermines the argument and position you take.
if you're going to take a stand online, you should defend your position properly, rather than undermining it in an upset haste.
do u have any music recs similar to Sleeping Lessons by The Shins?
Boy do I. I was raised on and absolutely love the shins and would describe that era of indie as one of my all time favorite genres. Sleeping lessons is a very special song to me. And I literally can't listen to it all the way through without getting goosebumps. The buildup to the payoff is such a perfect introduction to the album.
So without further Ado,
The mid-2000s indie adjacent shins based recommendation list (yay!)
1. The other shins albums
Duh. Except for heartworms. Idk about that one
Included under this umbrella are the three albums by broken bells, also made by the guy from the shins. I don't know if itll exactly match what youre looking for but if you like wincing the night away you'll probably like the rest of these.
2. No light in heaven by strange Ranger
This album came out in 2022 and is absolutely incredible. I'd consider it one of my top 10 of all time. It's a different sound, but definitely similar enough that you'll enjoy it. The entire album acts as a buildup to the payoff track Demolished (which actually got a remix by frost children. Remember them from my hyperpop post?) it blends ambient music, sampling, trance pop, and a saxophone to create a near-perfect album that I would definitely recommend listening to while stoned. Listen to this album sequentially rather than as individual tracks.
3. Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips
When I was a young child, I couldn't fall asleep unless this this album was playing. Nowadays, I think child me was on to something. This album rules. I don't really know if it goes with this flow but I associate it with this era of music so I'm adding it in anyway fuck you
4. City vs Country EP by Mobius Band
I don't know how I know about this EP, but somehow I do. It's got shins adjacent vocals, and great use of synthesizers. I don't really know what to say about it. I don't have a funny anecdote it's just a decent EP that I enjoy listening to. The title track City versus country is definitely the highlight and Id describe it as moderately dancable.
5.
I don't have a fifth one. maybe I'll add one. probably something by the postal service or some shit IDK
Individual Songs That'll Scratch the Specific Itch You're Looking for
1. Mary (Alternate) by yellow ostrich
2. Wildflower (Polygon Cover ver) by Dynastic
3. Nicotine & Gravy by Beck
4. Your ex Lover Is Dead by Stars
5.
That's all for now! I'll update this list if I can think of anything. I'm sure there's a lot I'm forgetting. Hope you enjoy! Maybe someone will ask me about emo or something next.
The world needs more fruity yet heterosexual men
HexlazeArt
What I find really funny about fruitiger aero nostalgia is that it's basically the equivalent of someone 15 years from now getting really, really nostalgic for material you icons and graphics, or Windows 11's new shitty semi-nemomorphic glassy icons, or those corporate videos with the flat textures, bright colors colors, and "stylized" people
Personally, I think people only like fruitiger aero designs now because they're not the face of corporation anymore
no cheating by looking but who do you think your Spotify top artist is gonna be this year 👀

The hyperpop-playlisted-sometimes-but-not-hyperpop-genre-not-a-genre-label-defying-reccomendation-list
In order of who you should listen to in what order:
#1: Underscores dual albums fishmonger and fearmonger.
These two albums are companion pieces for each other and are both genuinely incredible. Fishmonger has lighter tones and less intense songs whereas fear monger is faster and more heavy in its theming. Fishmonger is an 8/10, fearmonger is a 9.5/10
#2: I Know There's Something Left For You by Dynastic
LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM IN ORDER FROM AT LEAST THE STARTING TRACK TO CALDECOTT. DON'T PAUSE OR SKIP AROUND. A lesser-known emo-ish punk album. Need I say more? It's my most listened to album of all time, and 100% deserves it too. 9/10, a little rough around the edges but still incredible.
#3: Alex by Gabby Start
A lsd-induced delusion fueled album about flying machines and conspiracy theories. Gabby start has produced and featured on a bunch of underscores works and their solo album carries that energy. The strange sometimes corny lyrics might be a turn off to some, but I wholeheartedly recommend it. 7.5/10. The centerpiece track "I'm sorry for everything" is a solid 9.75/10 tho.
#4: Frailty by Jane Remover
An album so potent I can't listen to it without falling into a depressive spiral for at least a day. While I emotionally can't handle this music, I'm also pretty sure it might be the greatest album ever made. Shoegaze kinda. 10/10. Only listen while stable.
#5: SPEED RUN and SPIRAL by frost children.
These two albums are genuinely incredible. From near-perfect production to catchy composition and well placed features, there's not a single track that I would consider bad, or regularly skip. Their music isn't for everyone though. Some songs are dubsteppy, some are Pop-adjacent, some are punk, and some are ...rnb??? 9/10, 9/10 would recommend.
There's SO MUCH MORE but this is a good jumping off point.
This is so real I would also add WFLYTD by six impala (which underscores is in) but it is a little bit experimental and can be harsh to new listeners in some songs and peer2peer by webcage which is a little bit hyperpopish but I also feel like they can expand as an artist group and make something really great :)
oh yeah totally those are all great too. really just meant this post as a starter pack, a comprehensive guide would be like 50 pages long would be like 50 pages long LOL
