She’d done that quite intentionally, if he’d come all the way here. With the excuse of a toaster, she was fairly certain it would bother him, just a little that she didn’t look up. So she didn’t look over initially whenhe nudged her but it was only half a second before she did and she ended up laughing softly.

She made up for teasing him by wrapping her arms around him and pressing a soft kiss to his lips.

Like every one of Alice's kisses, this one was addicting. Hatter smiled in to it, knowing that in all of his years of life, he'd never felt as happy as he did with her. He pulled back a fraction of an inch and grinned at her before kissing her again. 

It was short and sweet, and after he shot her a look that was filled to the brink with all the happiness that he felt in just being around her. 

"Now, that toaster?"

She could practically count down the seconds to the exact moment she heard him speak again, a little grin taking it’s place on her lips. “Good, I was hoping i was more important than a toaster.”

"Well you can still use the toaster." She nodded in the direction of the appliance.

Hatter frowned at the fact that she hadn't quite looked at him, so he nudged her with his shoulder to get her attention and smiled directly at her, hoping to get a decent response.

He loved her smile.

"Silly me for thinking you might just want to pay me a visit." She gave a slight shrug and smiled. "Right this way then." She motioned for him to follow her.

Hatter opened his mouth as if to speak, then closed it again when he realized that there wasn't really anything he could say to that. He frowned after her instead, but it took exactly three seconds to cave.

"Alright!" it exploded out of him and he jogged to catch up to her. "I may be here to see you. Mostly. The toaster's still rubbish."

"Hatter did you really break your toaster or is this just some excuse to see me? You can just come over you know.”

He gaped at her in terrible injury. "I am truly hurt, Alice. I will have you know that I battled with that bloody toaster for a half an hour before coming here. It's mental, that thing."
