So, I’m doing a summer choir program thing where I do lessons once a week and practice two songs with the choir teacher. The songs are ones we get to pick out ourselves, but one has to be musical theater and the other can be any genre. My two songs are ‘Slipping through my fingers’ from Mamma Mia and ‘500 Miles” by Peter, Paul, and Mary. My choir teacher and I are now looking for a third song for me to do because I’ve pretty much got the first to down. We’re leaning bluegrass type of style because that is my guilty pleasure, more specifically ‘Maggie May’ by Kaia Kater, but the teacher only plays piano and the song requires a banjo. Are there any suggestions for me out there? I’m really open to anything.
