And so at that time my life was dominated by a feeling of extraordinary impatience. Nothing that I did pleased me or seemed worth doing; furthermore, I was unable to imagine anything that could please me, or that could occupy me in any lasting manner. Instead of buying a newspaper or drinking coffee or visiting an exhibition, after taking a few steps I would return to the studio which I had left in such a hurry only a few minutes before. Back in the studio boredom, of course, awaited me and the whole process would begin over again.

The result of sloth is faint-heartedness. It is the state of despondency which all spiritual Fathers considered the greatest danger for the soul. Despondency is the impossibility for man to see anything good or positive; it is the reduction of everything to negativism and pessimism. It is truly a demonic power in us because the Devil is fundamentally a liar. He lies to man about God and about the world; he fills life with darkness and negation. This post is for the desperate, I beg you...

When i told myself that i should just turn to god and leave behind the advice of people close to me, only now i realized how wrong i was.

God is always with us, but often we create bad images of people dear to us to make ourselves disappointed in them.

The devil can help us in this, and we, having succumbed, can no longer stop.

Our loved ones become unbearable for us, the church ceases to exist for us, there is no end to the suffering from such a state.

celestials! What are we thinking about?

But if in such a state we are still able to forgive people dear to us, it means that the devil has not yet completely overcome us.

He always knows our weaknesses and to make the human mind act differently is not a problem for him, the devil hates people and wants us to hate them too.

Do not let the offspring of abomination and impartiality destroy your souls, let your love be stronger than your hatred, and let your Faith never fade away.

Just the promise of you was enough. A promise, that one day I’ll get to have something as precious as you to grace my despondent existence, was enough. I sit here and wait for you to happen, doing nothing, staring blankly at a wall as faded pictures play inside my head, like that’ll bring you right to me. So vague, I can’t make up anything of it, yet vivid enough to keep me yearning for more. I don’t who or what you are, I don’t know anything of you, I don’t even know why I want you, but yet again I’ll sit here and wait —patiently— for you to come to me and lift that curse of misery bestowed upon me for as long as I can remember (which isn’t much either), but yeah.
