Criminal Minds did Spencer Reid SO dirty with his ending! And I've been re-watching the series again and this kept popping into my head.
Picture Reid does get his happy ending and live the life he dreamed of.
I picture him with someone that isn't apart of his same field, I've always thought he'd pair best with a English Lit major because of his love of reading. He finds love with a fellow professor at Georgetown who teaches English Literature classes and has a PhD, and is well-known for her writing as an author.
They'd go on dates to museums, bookstores, wear cardigans and their typical night in is Reid reading a book while she grades papers and writes her next novel.
I also saw a TikTok of a lady saying she playfully teases her husband and kids as "my lord/my lady" in the most medieval peasant voice ever, and that's for sure the life he has.
He's for sure a girl dad! And he is always ready for the next recital or sports event his girls are in, he's a professional when it comes to doing their hair. And he bonds with his kids by always reading to them at night since they were in the womb because he read how important it is for babies to hear your voice.
Anyways, what I mean to say, is that this is the life and the ending that Reid's character deserved.

Joffrey's cheek had stung with redness and pain from the slap his mother had given him.
"You wish to soil the Lion's blood with a bastard whore", his mother had hissed.
Joffrey leaned back on his throw pillows, taking in the golden decor of his chambers and he closed his eyes for a moment.
A soft glimpse of his object of affection flashed in his mind: dark, bouncing curls streaked with white laying on his pillows, lips pouted and swollen, skin blemished and flushed. Her maroon-shaded eyes half-lidded as they stared at him with the lust he wanted only for himself.
He had done what his mother had wanted and given that foolish Sansa a golden pendant necklace and he even lowered himself in standard to kiss the pale-faced, fiery haired girl.
No, he wanted the glowing brown-skinned girl whose eyes haunted him in his sleep and made his mind mad.
His waking and sleeping moments were spent solely on her.
Had that Snow bastard not rejected his offer and run off, Joffrey hissed in his mind.
How dare that Snow!
Joffrey had been waiting to find the Snow girl in his bed, naked and legs parted to show him the cunt that he had been dreaming of. Joffrey was ready to ravage the girl, carve himself into her and burrow bastards into her womb of green eyes and blonde hair.
Or would they have had dark hair and green eyes? Would they have been like the bastard Princes of Rhaenyra the Cruel and Harwin Strong?
Joffrey felt a stir in his cock with a huff.
His cock was longing for the cunt that was meant for it; he wasted his seed having to relieve himself ever since Jon Snow ran off with his prize.
He could remember the stirring fury in the Snow's brooding eyes, swirling and snarling like a wolf.
So apparent of his lord Father, no?
Castle Black was harsh in its climate and nearly entirely awful in its company; time felt it moved differently here as well. As if one month down in Winterfell was like two here.
"So, Lord Snow gets to have a cunt to warm his cock at night, but we get none", one man had protested in the first full day of them there.
Jon hadn't been too pleased with that statement and nearly injured the man when Commander Mormont had Jon demonstrate his skills.
Though it is not to say all the men were awful with Sam and Edd being pleasant company.
The biggest revelation of all is that some of the men here were petty criminals: some having chosen to the Black because they were caught stealing food to feed their families, one man here because he nearly killed the raper that attacked his sister and others were bastards like them who had no father to taken pity on them. Of course, there were convicted murders, rapers and villains of all kinds here at Castle Black, but not all of them.
Samwell Tarly, himself, was forced to take the Black by his father simply because his father deemed him useless.
Uncle Benjen hadn't stayed too long, saying he had to ride into the Haunted Forest of Castle Black; Lord Tyrion had also made his way back south.
"Tell me", Maester Aemon spoke to her. "What is the history of Greyscale?"
Y/N found herself pulled from her thoughts.
She was back in the Maester Healing Quarters, learning about the skill. It was normally not common for women to learn to the full skill of a Maester as women learned as far as childbirth.
"It is a disease that stiffens the skin and deadens it", she spoke, "it has been recorded as far as Old Valyria and can still be found in the Free Cities and Essos."
"How is it treated?"
"There is no treatment. It is fatal, it grows until is consumes all of the flesh."
Maester Aemon chuckled, "no treatment that the Citadel allows to be known."
The elderly man leaned forward in his chair.
"There is a single treatment, a horrifically painful one and if the patient survives, they are cured. What do you suppose would be the treatment?"
Y/N thought for a moment. If Greyscale caused the flesh to die and spread, and it began at the skin....
"I suppose you would have to cut the flesh off", she suggested, Maester Aemon nodded.
"Precisely", he agreed. "It is an extremely painful and grotesque treatment, but entirely effective."
"Have you ever seen it performed?" she asked, intrigued.
"Once, but the patient did not live."
Y/N learned an abundance of knowledge of sickness and medicine; she learned which poisons ravaged the body and which noble women preferred, and she learned how to brew moon tea for herself.
As Maester Aemon said, "a child has no place to live here in Castle Black."
It was a bitter tea despite the honey in it: nasty and grainy.
Most of her day was spent with Maester Aemon before she retired to the glorified chambers they had been given. It was a small room, a forgotten one that had been covered in dust but it was better than the large room the men had been put into. Ghost mostly slept outside their door, sometimes inside when he felt like it, but the direwolf did what he wanted without regard for Jon.
Today, her hands did not sting from herbs but her mind hurt from the knowledge of her lessons.
But a small sense of pride rumbled in her chest because Maester Aemon said she was progressing well in her lessons, that soon she would be able to learn on the men.
A raven had arrived not too long ago from her mother, carrying the sigil of House Bloodwright.
Holding the letter, she thumbed the wax seal insignia of the chimera before opening the letter and sitting on the cot.
My little Chimera, the letter began.
How do you fare in Castle Black? I pray the cold does not undo you as Blood Bay simmers with its unending cold and thus, the cold should not take you from me.
Her mother continued her letter, updating her on the comings and goings of Blood Bay before her eyes widened.
Your Lord Father understands why you fled to Castle Black, though his heart wishes you and your husband had fled here, he understands. Unfortunately, rumors have began to swirl, my Chimera, of the Prince's obsession with someone other than Sansa Stark, but none have been linked to you, my fiery heart. The walls of Winterfell had buzzed with the rumors and it did not take me long to link it to you.
As your mother, remember this, my child: the Chimera does not bend the knee to no one.
A Chimera only bows to its kin.
Y/N stared at her mother's letter, bringing her fingers to trace over the writing and feel the indents from the quill on the paper. She could smell the faint jasmine from the paper and her eyes watered a bit as she sniffed the paper; her heart laid heavy on sorrow.
Oh, how she missed her mother. Y/N missed the jasmine oil her mother dabbed onto her wrists and decolletage, and she missed the embrace of her mother.
She missed the screaming howling of the winds from Blood Bay that sounded like ghosts shrieking into the night and the thundering laugh of her father that could have rivaled the laugh of Lyonel Baratheon, the Laughing Storm himself.
She heard the sound of the door opening and looking over her shoulder, she found Jon walking in as he shed his cloak and outer clothes.
“What are you reading?” He asked.
“A letter my mother sent”, she answered, laying it down and walking over to Jon. "She says my father wishes we had fled to Blood Bay, but that he understands."
"How did he-?" Jon's face furrowed in confusion.
"There is a reason my father is called The Seen Shadow", Y/N answered, "he sees and hears everything."
Jon nodded, "not a Chimera shadow?"
Y/N shook her head, wrapping her arms around Jon's waist and staring at him.
"The last Chimera of Blood Bay died during the Dance, no chimera has been seen since", she answered, "Aegon the Ursurper made sure no chimera could be brought back."
Chimeras, like dragons, roamed Westeros at one point; great beasts that defied the laws of the Gods with their bodies and heads of that of lion with large horns of a ram protruding from their head and mane and the tail that of a snake. Y/N read that their fangs were thin and sharp, leaking poison and breathing powerful fire that burned topaz. They were larger than a horse and held great appetites.
Jon had his arms around her, "seems the Targaryens have no favor in your House?"
"My father always told me 'a Chimera never bows', not even to the dragon, only to its kin. Said that Aegon the Conqueror knew better than to ask my ancestor and instead offered a truce."
"Quite the truce", Jon noted, she shrugged.
"All words of dead men."
Soon, Jon and her sat on the hard, cold ground and stared at the brewing fire that he started right before.
"My mother says rumors speak of the Prince being obsessed", she revealed, "but they do not know who."
"Let them speak", Jon replied, "the more they speak, less we worry."
"And... when the two years pass and all is good, what do we do then?" she asked, looking at Jon.
"Then, I place you on my horse and we ride back to Winterfell. And I join my brother's ranks as a knight and you live the life of a knight's wife with our children."
A small smile broke onto her face, "you already think of children, Jon?"
She watched Jon's face flush and the tip of his ears turn red.
"If my Septa lessons serve me correctly, the Starks are quite infamous for the amount of children they have. At least three if my memory serves correctly. Have you already pictured our children?"
Not like she hadn't: chubby cheeked babes with Jon's curls and maybe her eyes, but with that smile that Jon kept hidden.
"And if I had?" Jon answered, his voice husky and eyes a bit dilated.
"I'd say we'd have to agree on a number: is three sufficient? At least to start?”
"I'd say three is nice... once everything is forgotten in King's Landing."
She leaned her head onto Jon's shoulder with a smile on her lips.
"Once everything is forgotten."
She felt Jon's calloused fingers intertwine with hers.
Such a moment was rare now in Castle Black, but nevertheless not unwanted.
Living in Castle Black truly was an isolating experience.
Ravens only came when needed.
Y/N wondered how Sansa and Arya were fairing over in King's Landing.
Standing on the ice wall, Y/N listened as Sam spoke, "I miss girls. Not even talking to them. I never talked to them."
Y/N looked over her shoulder, "I am a woman, you do remember, Sam?"
"But you're my friend, it's not the same", Sam retorted. “All the men here feel the same way. It’s odd to think of you as a woman now.”
Jon stared over the wall down into the forest below.
Today, they were tasked with looking out for any Riders approaching.
"Is it-?"
"A rider! We have to blow the horn!" Sam cried, rushing to the horn.
"Why is he alone?" Jon questioned.
Riders were never alone. They always traveled in packs, safety in numbers as Benjen said.
As Sam began to list off the number of bellows needed for the horn, Y/N spotted the horse coming closer.
Without its rider.
"That's not a rider", Jon spoke.
"Where is he?" Y/N said.
Loading themselves into the wooden shaft to take them below, the three of them found that others in the Black had come out to see the horse as well.
Walking towards the horse, her eyes widened at the familiarity of the horse.
It was Benjen's horse.
But why would he send the horse ahead? Horses were desparately needed in this part of the North-especially in the Haunted Woods where the snow was so thick, she heard it crunched horribly under one's weight.
"That's my uncle's horse", Jon spoke, rushing over to the horse.
Commander Mormont looked at the horse.
"Where is he? Where is Benjen?" she asked, moving to help calm the horse.
Commander Mormont was silent.
~
"You came to us as outlaws, poachers, rapers, killers, thieves. You came alone in chains without friends nor honor. You came to us rich and you came to us poor. Some of you bear the names of proud houses, others only bastard names or no names at all. It does not matter. All that is in the past. Here, on the Wall, we are all one House."
Today, the men that they had arrived around the time with were taking the Black- taking their vow of the Night's Watch.
Commander Mormont spoke in a loud voice as he gave his speech.
"You're allowed to look proud", she whispered to Jon. "At least Edd has a better time with the longsword than when he arrived. Same can't be said for Sam."
They stood off to a side, listening and watching the ceremony at hand.
"Sam is lucky he got picked as a steward", Jon whispered back. "Benjen said sometimes they put men as Rangers for the fun of it."
Benjen.
Days had passed since the arrival of his horse, but no sight of him still.
"Maester Aemon has granted me permission to leave the wall and gather herbs for him around the Weirwoods", she spoke, "he said I'd need someone to accompany me. Said it was a mile and a half away."
"I'll escort you", Jon replied back.
"I hoped you'd agree to the task. Especially since this grants you some time to be able to begin to plan how we'll find Benjen."
Jon glanced at her, "you sound like you plotted this."
"How Maester Aemon's supply of herbs suddenly depleted so quickly is no concern of me", she shrugged.
Jon grinned, "you are quite the mastermind in making."
"Dear husband, I have no idea what you speak of."
Walking through the tunnel that led outside into the Haunted Woods, the air felt colder and harsher as Ghost barked and ran into the open woods. She smiled at Ghost running freely into the open with a chuckle, knowing the direwolf would wander and come back before the gate closed again.
Earlier during the Commander's speech, Sam had made the decision to take his vow before the Weirwood, before the Old Gods and in his words: "the Seven never listened to my prayers, maybe the Old Gods will."
"And there he goes", Jon commented as Ghost ran into the woods.
She decided that afterwards would be best to collect the herbs without the presence of the other men to listen to Jon's thoughts.
Other men had come to witness it as they held their torches high and they had allowed her and Jon to witness this moment for Sam.
She had nearly forgotten the ghastly face carved in the trees of Old and how blood-like sap dripped down the eyes. The same face that stared at her and Jon when they took their vows as husband and wife.
She could feel the cold nipping at her nose as Sam spoke his vows, vowing to take no wife or land, father no children nor take a crown to his head.
When he was finished, he stood up with a grand smile on his face and embraced Jon and her.
The other men chuckled but embraced Samwell as well, speaking of brotherhood.
The moment was broken by Ghost's return, which Jon moved to greet the direwolf.
"What's that in your mouth?" Jon asked, kneeling down in front of his partner.
She moved towards them, snow crunching under her feet as Ghost lowered his muzzle, dropping a severed frozen arm.
Gasps echoed from everyone as Ghost sat on his bum before whining and looking to his left.
"Is that an arm?!" one man cried.
Ghost whined once more, still looking left and then straight at her.
"What is it, boy?" Jon asked, Ghost whined.
She quickly walked to the wolf beast, kneeling down and rubbing his head.
Ghost whined, nudging her hand to the left and Y/N frowned; finally, she stood and allowed for Ghost to begin nudging her to the left.
It was then she saw what Ghost was moving her towards and her breath was taken from her.
It was small, no larger than a newborn wolf cub, with golden fur that shined in the snow and had small spots of dark fur on the head. The cub held a hazed gaze as she spotted the small horns onto of its head and as the cub let out a small whine with its milk teeth, its tail swished in the snow and she saw the emerald scales of a serpent tail.
The cub was beautiful: a pure magical being in the snow.
"By the Gods-"
"Is that-"
"A Chimera", Y/N finished, "it's a Chimera."
The cub whined at her as her eyes widened, its eyes blinking at her as she slowly walked towards the infant beast.
It whined once more as she stood in front of it and it did the strangest thing.
The infant chimera bowed towards her.
Kneeling down, she reached a shaking hand and allowed the cub to sniff her, and once it did, it mewed into her palm.
Grasping it by the scruff, she lifted the beast into her arms and turned to look at Jon and the men.
The snow picked up in its fury and the wind howled as the Chimera wrapped its scaled tail around her arm.
Taking a cautious step towards Jon, Y/N felt Ghost nudge her leg as Jon stared down at the cub.
In that moment, they weren't just the bastards called Lord and Lady Snow- no, they were two people who held high blood in their veins that held a direwolf and now a chimera.
"The king is dead", Commander Mormont spoke to him. "Pour me a horn of ale, yourself too."
Jon had been summoned to Commander Mormont's chambers, the man looking solemn and old in the moment Jon arrived.
But who could blame him?
They discovered two frozen (almost petrified looking) bodies that belonged to Uncle Benjen's party but still no Uncle Benjen. Coincidentally, the hand that Ghost had found belonged to one of the frozen men.
Jon had paused at the news delivered before bringing the horn of ale to the commander.
"Is there any word of my father?"
"Sit." The Mormont bear sighed as he picked up the letter.
"Lord Stark has been charged with treason. Said he conspired with Robert's brothers to deny the throne to Prince Joffrey."
Jon froze.
His father a traitor?
Impossible.
"My sisters are still in King's Landing."
"I'm sure they'll be treated gently. But the letter demands the arrival of your wife for the prince."
Jon curled his fists.
Commander Mormont held a hand, "do not worry. I have no plans to send her away. Maester Aemon has spoken highly of her quick ability for healing and I've seen her skill with the bow. Even I would not send my own kin to be the whore to a prince."
"What am I to do? I'm sure the Prince would expect me to ride south and then grab her."
"Aye, I expect as much. My best advice, Snow, is to wait and listen. I fear there is much more at play."
~
Emerys was the name she'd chosen for her chimera.
A quick peek had told her that her chimera was male and she wondered how her chimera came to be. They were born in litters of four to mothers who held great manes.
Emerys slept in a basket, snuggling in the cleanest linens she could find and placed near the fire for warmth.
Who would have thought?
Her, a bastard having a chimera.
Emerys had taken to Jon quickly, whether through imprinting or not, the tiny monster had accepted Jon's touch and presence.
She could not bear to collar and leash Emerys despite the word from Mormont.
But her beast had taken great heed to stay by her side in clumsy, large pawed strides. Sometimes Ghost would join Emerys and led him to the forests, both wandering back with red on their muzzles and she knew the wolf had taken to showing the chimera how to hunt.
At night, her feline beast would jump onto their bed and nuzzle into her stomach or neck with purrs of happiness.
Right now though, she was in the kitchens preparing the meals for the men since Maester Aemon said examining the bodies was work only meant for Maesters and the Silent Sisters.
Jon was beside her, slicing up the meat that was brought while she was made to cut the fat off the parts that Jon had cut. He was silent, brooding in the way only Jon was capable of, but how could she blame him?
Ned Stark labeled a traitor?
She found that foolish. Ned Stark was as loyal as they came; there had to be more than what was being said.
"Now look at this", Alliser Thorne announced as he walked in, "not only a bastard, but a traitor's bastard and his bastard wife."
She hated Alliser Throne.
He watched her movements with the gaze of a man that hadn't seen a woman in decades.
She saw the way Jon clutched his knife and she moved back, watching in silence as Jon lunged to strike the man.
"Jon, no!" Sam and Pypar cried out, grabbing and restraining him.
"Blood will always tell", Throne taunted, "you'll hang for this, bastard. And then we'll all get a turn with your lady wife."
Jon glared at the man, who smirked.
~
"What is ailing you, husband?" she softly spoke.
Jon's head rested on her lap as they were in their chambers, resting on the bed.
He was silent since being banished to their quarters; Commander Mormont did not take to Jon's outburst well.
"My sisters are still trapped in King's Landing", Jon told. "My father may be killed, uncle Benjen is still missing and I have no doubt that Robb may do something about this."
She moved her hand to his hair, soothing him with strokes.
"I feel helpless. All because of the Lannisters."
Y/N was quiet as she listened to Jon's thoughts.
"Commander Mormont spoke that in the raven, the Lannisters demanded your presence."
Her hand paused in her movements.
"It's been five moons", she spoke.
"Aye. And he still hasn't forgotten. And with the king dead..."
"I won't go, Jon." She moved herself to hover her face above his. "My place is beside you. You're my husband and... the only person who knows what its like to be apart from everyone else. You see me."
Jon slowly moved to sit up, a hand going through her hair as he stared into her eyes.
"That Baratheon cunt will have to take you from my cold, dead grasp and even then, he'll still have to fight me. You're my wife, my life. We took vows before the Old Gods, no one can take us from one another."
Jon's eyes brewed with emotion as she stared into them.
He leaned in and kissed her lips with passion, it took her breath away from it and his words.
But the moment was broken by a sudden hiss and growl.
Breaking away from Jon, they both frowned to find Ghost and Emerys standing in front of the door. Their fur stood straight up, Ghost's hackles raised and Emerys' tail began to rattle.
"What's wrong with them?" she questioned.
"I don't know", Jon answered, standing up. "Stay here. I'm going to go look."
She grasped Jon's hand, "be safe."
"I will", he promised.
Jon opened the door with Ghost following as he left and Emerys jumped into her arms as she stood, his rattled tail still moving as he hissed.
It was a few quiet moments before she heard a hard thump outside their door and she paused, waiting before hearing another thump.
Emerys hissed more, cub-like roars coming from his mouth as she stood, placing him on the ground and grabbing her bow.
She threw the quiver over herself, grabbing an arrow to place in the bowstring if needed as she listened again.
Thump.
Then just like that, she witnessed the door bursting open to see the frozen corpse of one of Benjen's men standing in the doorway. His eyes a impossibly bright blue, his skin whiter than snow and his lips like a blue-black shade.
Her hands shook as the corpse lunged, but she loaded the arrow and with precision, fire it into his chest.
That should have done it.
But it didn't as the corpse just stumbled for a moment before rushing towards her again as she reached for another arrow, managing to dodge clumsily and move around.
Emerys hissed and roared before he stood on his hind legs and she watched in a horror fascination as the topaz-colored fire sparked from his mouth, beginning to envelope the corpse and then it fell to the ground.
"Y/N!"
Looking, she found Jon looking into their room with Ghost and the Commander as the frozen corpse burned into their floor.
~
It turned out Ghost and Emerys had sensed the frozen corpses as Jon had found the other in the Commander's room, managing to burn it with a fiery oil lamp.
The Commander had ordered that they witness the bodies burn again for safe measure as the wind licked their cheeks.
"They were touched by White Walkers", Sam revealed to their group. "That's why their eyes were blue and they were still moving. Only fire can kill them."
Emerys let out an irritated meow as she held him in her arms; he was nuzzled into her cloak as she stood beside Jon, watching.
"Where'd you hear that?" Jon asked.
"I read it in Maester Aemon's library."
"What'd it tell you?"
"The White Walkers sleep beneath the ice for thousands of years. And when they wake up..."
"What happens if they do?" she asked.
"I hope the Wall is high enough."
Their group was small, six in total that were made to witness the burning and almost in unison that they turned to look at the mighty ice wall that separated the North.
As I begin to write our (yes, our cuz we in this together lol) part and with my decision to follow all 8 seasons of GOT, I have come to a issue.
I have originally intended for Jon to not be a Targaryen (I had stated it in an early chapter) when I planned to not follow the canon storyline, but now that I chose to, I come to the issue...
Does Jon stay a Targaryen or not?
I am on the fence about which decision so I'm leaving it up to you! I love seeing the votes on what you guys want! Vote below and let me know!
I want to know how often you guys would like story updates! It would really help me know how often you guys want uploads and which to upload first! This goes for all my current stories being written!

The Prince stared at her in a way that made her feel as if he could see beyond the the light cloak around her shoulders (one that held House Stark's emblem on the clasp) and straight past the satin dress she wore and small clothes.
Straight to a state that only Jon had seen. Only a state that her husband was graced with knowing.
"It is quite a shame, don't you think?" the Prince suddenly said.
"Excuse me?" Y/N blinked, a furrow in her brow.
"From what I've heard, your father poured in all his time, all his coin into grooming you into the perfect Lady", he mused, stepping close to her. "Such a shame he did not legitimize you. You would have made quite the worthy bride with a hefty dowry."
Y/N felt uneasy at this statement. The Prince spoke as if he was disappointed with her illegitimacy.
"I do not question my Lord Father's actions to not legitimize me", she answered, a cold sweat on her brow. "I know how... disappointed my Lady Bloodwright would have been had my father done so."
The Prince hummed for a moment, beginning to circle her.
"Lady Bloodwright is quite the unsightly thing", the Baratheon Prince spoke aloud, "hooked nose, greasy hair. Every bit a Bolton. Same with those siblings: ugly things she pushed out."
Y/N swallowed the saliva in her throat.
"Your Lord Father must have quite happy when your mother delivered you, don't you suppose?"
"I suppose so, your grace", she answered, the Prince waved a hand.
"Joffrey", he commanded, "you may call me Joffrey."
"I believe that would be improper, yo-"
"Your lack of legitimacy is improper."
Y/N felt like meat on a platter, ready to be served.
"Do you suppose the rumors are true?" he suddenly asked.
"O-Of what, your grace?"
"That Bloodwright women have been known to drive men mad with their beauty?"
She felt rooted to her spot, fear in her bones.
Because it was not a stag in front of her, but rather a lion.
"Sister!" Arya shouted, running towards her. "You should have seen me with the bow!"
She never felt relief like she did when Arya ran towards her, her short brown hair billowing in the small brief.
Out of everyone in House Stark, Arya was the only one to call her 'sister', a term that was used amongst nobles to indict the acceptance of their husband's wife into the house.
But as Jon was a bastard, the same was not held for him. Lord Stark would never make Jon a legitimate heir, it would be too much of a threat to Robb's claim to House Stark as he and Robb were born mere moon apart from one another.
"Did you?" Y/N smiled, a teasing grin. "I bet you bested Bran at the bow."
"I'm not sure where Bran is, he must have went climbing", Arya spoke, "c'mon, let me show you."
Y/N looked at the Prince, who scoffed at Arya.
"If you'll excuse me, your Highness", she curtseyed.
Walking to the training grounds with Arya, she listened to the girl chatter about sneaking in training when a familiar servant of House Stark ran towards them just as they reached the ground.
"Lady Arya, Miss Snow!" the servant, Mylissa, cried out. "Come, Lady Catelyn requests it! There's been an accident!"
"What?" Y/N asked, grasping Arya's hand.
"Lord Bran has been in an accident!"
An accident was an understatement, in Y/N's opinion. Bran had fallen from one of the many crumbling towers that littered Winterfell; a fall so high that the Maesters said he will never walk again and were unsure whether he would awaken again. Only his Direwolf was a witness to his terrible fall and Lady Catelyn hadn't left his side since.
They had been praying for Bran's recovery, but the somber cloud that hung over House Stark since and it seemed to only feel worse with Lord Stark's impending departure to King's Landing soon, and taking Sansa and Arya along with him.
Y/N stayed close to Jon, especially after the eyes of the Prince making her uncomfortable. It seems that after that conversation, he seemed to appear everywhere from
She stood beside him as he inspected a sword at the blacksmith stall in Winterfell.
"Looking to trade in the one you have?" she questioned, Jon shook his head.
"No", he answered, "but it doesn't hurt to see what the blacksmiths are producing."
"Especially when it is a gift for your favorite sister?" she teased, Jon looked at her with a small smile.
"Don't let Sansa hear that", Jon joked. "She'd have my head. It's not my fault Arya and I bonded better."
"Your husband is right", a new voice added, she looked over her shoulder. "Sisters have a tendency to have quite the jealous streak."
There, behind them in a slight dischevel manner, stood Jaime Lannister.
"Have you swung your sword yet?" Jaime asked.
"Of course, I have", Jon said.
"At someone."
Jon was silent and she watched as Jaime gave a slight look.
"No, I don't expect you have. After all, these are times of peace. It's a strange thing, the first time you cut a man. You realize we're nothing but sacks of meat and blood with some bone to keep it all standing. Allow me to congratulate you on your marriage."
Jaime glanced at her, a odd look on his face before he held his hand out to Jon. Jon looked cautiously at it before grasping it and in a firm grip, the Lannister squeezed Jon's hand.
"I wish to congratulate you", the Lannister smirked, "on being able to form yourself a clan and giving your future children the chance to hold a honest name."
The Lannister released Jon's hand and turned away before stopping and looking over his shoulder.
"It is quite fortunate you are not ugly like your sisters", Jaime said, "it would have been a shame to your husband to only have to fuck you from behind."
Y/N wrinkled her nose, "Quite fortunate you took your Vow then, isn't it? Else you'd be fucking one of them from behind. I'd say it'd be Rosalind, I believe you knights have deemed her the ugliest."
It seemed her words made the Lion pause for a moment before continuing on his way.
"Quite the kind statement", she mused, "well, as kind as you can get from a Lion."
"Lions are not very well known for being kind", Jon said, "not even to their cubs at times."
It was rare for bastards to be requested from royalty, even if your sire was a royal themself.
Jon found it quite odd to have his presence requested to the Grand Hall and he found it even more odd that when he walked in, he saw his Father and Robb standing near the long banquet table in the hall. His Uncle Benjen sat in a chair and sat in the seat typically reserved for the Lord of Winterfell sat the King, himself, with the Prince and the old Lion himself with Jaime Lannister, himself.
"Jon", Ned spoke, slowly walking towards him.
"Father", Jon greeted, confusion in his tone.
When his father moved to embrace him, he whispered, "do you have any clue why you were summoned?"
"No", Jon whispered back. "Do you?"
"No."
When his father let go, Jon moved to bow and properly greet the King, who nodded for a moment.
Silence fell in the Hall for a strained moment before King Robert finally spoke.
"You must be wondering why you were summoned, Bastard", King Robert spoke, Jon nodded. "As you know, your father has accepted position of becoming my Hand and your brother will be the new Lord of Winterfell."
"Yes", Jon nodded.
"And as for a bastard, there is not much you can add for your family."
Jon sucked in a breath and saw the confused look in his father's eyes.
"I am aware", Jon said, "but my brother reassured me that he'd gladly take my skills in the sword to better serve my House."
Robb nodded, "I look forward to putting my brother's skills to use in our forces."
King Robert paused for a moment before saying, "but that leaves not much for your wife, does it?"
Jon scrunched his eyebrows and tilted his head as he tried to puzzle what was going on.
"Father, please", Prince Joffrey scoffed, "you have to be plain with bastards. The proposal is simple, Lord Bastard. Before we depart, you allow me a night with your wife and to bring her back with me to King's Landing as my mistress, and you will find yourself elevated to that of legitimacy."
It felt as if the world was drained from Jon's body and anger replaced what was drained. Jon saw the surprise on his father and Robb's faces; so they were not privy to the knowledge of this meeting then.
His hands clenched into fists as he stared at the green-eyed Prince who anticipated his answer.
How dare this soft-handed noble come and ask him for a night with his wife!
Jon could see the soft smiles of his wife; a wife he was growing to love and care for, the only other person that understood what it meant to be alone in a home filled with people.
And now, some bastard was coming with the request of taking the only person who saw him? To be his mistress?
Jon clenched his jaw.
"No", Jon rejected, his eyes hard with anger. "She is my wife. And she will stay my wife."
"You do understand the possibilities you'd be giving up, boy?" King Robert asked.
"I do not care for my legitimacy", Jon spat, "not if it came at the expense and dignity of my wife. She will stay by my side, have my children. So unless you wish to invoke the anger of my Lord Father-in law, my king, this request is dead."
Jon saw the hesitation in the king's eyes at the mention of Lord Elias.
"Asking was a common curtesy, bastard", Prince Joffrey spoke, looking at his nails. "Either way, your wife will warm my bed."
"I never partook House Baratheon to covet another man's wife, but perhaps your House is not so different from the Targaryens you rebelled against."
But Jon did not pause to wait for more as he turned on his heel, storming out of the hall with his brother, father and uncle hot on his tail.
Jon led them to one of the rooms in the Great Keep, fuming and feeling more direwolf than man.
"Jon", Ned spoke.
"Don't!" Jon hissed, anger flying. "You heard him, Father. He propositioned me! He asked me to allow him a night with my wife! My wife! And then he asked if he could have her in King's Landing with him. He acts as if my wife is a whore at a brothel, ready to be given to the next customer!"
Ned watched Jon, the Stark fury radiating in the young man as Jon paced the room with clenched fists and flowing anger. It was rare to see Jon blazing with fury and it made Ned note how much Stark blood truly ran in the boy's blood.
"You need to think rationally, brother", Robb tried, "the Prince means to rattle you."
"I think he means more to rattle", Uncle Benjen countered, "do not tell me that none of you have noticed the way he watches the poor lass."
Silence stalled the room.
"Being on the Wall shows you how to be observant and in my three days being here, I've seen a lot", Benjen said, "and Jon has a right to his anger. Be a bastard, he is still a man who has been insulted. The Prince means to make a mistress out of his wife by any means."
"And what do you propose we do, brother?" Ned asked, "what is to stop the Prince from just taking the girl?"
Jon watched his Uncle take a breath.
"Come with me to Castle Black and then to the Wall", Benjen proposed, "the both of you. We'll say you are coming to be for a short season to improve your skills to better serve your House. And as such, your wife will have to join you as is customary for the first two years."
It was true. Westerosi custom for all deemed the first two year of marriage between husband and wife to be important, and as such, they must not part unless during times of war.
"Women are forbidden at the Wall", Jon spoke.
"It is rare but we have had women healers serve for short periods", Benjen said, "Y/N can apprentice under Maester Aemon at Castle Black who has been known to teach others. And if we have permission from the King, himself, no one can question it. Not even Lord Commander Mormont himself."
Jon looked at his Father.
Running the wool brush through her hair, the tangles of the remainder of her day with Arya and archery had made itself known in her long locks. Supper had not yet been called for and Jon had not yet arrived into their room, and she curiously wondered where he could be.
Sansa had mentioned that he had been summoned by the King.
A deep pit of worry filled her belly and she set the brush down, walking to one of the windows of the room and closing the curtains as the sky slowly grew darker.
She went about lighting the candles of the room, lighting the fire to bring warmth and light just as the heavy oak door of the room opened. Looking over her shoulder, a small smile made its way to her lips as she saw Jon.
"I was beginning to wonder where you were", Y/N teased with a smile.
The flint in her hands was placed onto the mantle of the fireplace as she dusted her hands off.
"I was with my father and Robb... uncle Benjen too", Jon said, slowly removing his outer clothes.
Y/N moved to help Jon when she caught his eye.
"Something's wrong", she stated, Jon frowned.
"And what tells you that?"
"You have that look."
"What look?"
"That pout." It was true, in the many moons of her now being here she had come to understand Jon's broodiness. It always began in his eyes, dark and sad before moving to his brows, a slight furrow and down to his lips, a small pout.
"I do not pout", Jon said, embarrassment in his tone and a red flush.
She giggled, "you do. You pout like a little wolf pup."
Y/N moved to softly peck his lips.
"What troubles you, Jon?" Y/N asked, hands resting on his chest. "Was it something the King summoned you for? Sansa told me you were summonded."
Jon brought his hands to hers, caressing them before sighing.
"The King summoned me with... a request", Jon gritted out, his face morphing into a quiet anger. "The Prince requested for me to allow him... a night with you. And for you to become his mistress."
It felt as if a bucket of cold water had been dumped on her and her chest tightened in fear.
"I denied them", Jon continued, staring into her eyes. "But the Prince made it clear that he was to have you one way or another. No matter how much you or I reject them."
It felt as if she couldn't speak.
"W-What do we do?" Y/N stammered, "J-Jon, I don't want to be the Prince's mistress. I want to stay with you."
"You will stay with me", Jon reassured, hands cupping her cheeks and bringing his forehead to hers. "I won't let them touch you."
"How?" she asked, tears feeling wet.
"Uncle Benjen had an idea. It is not the best, I will admit, but it is our only option for now."
Within two days, she and Jon had packed as much as they could to be taken horseback to Castle Black.
Jon helped her onto the saddle before swinging himself behind her. His arms secure around her when they finally begun to all move; a long train of horses and carriages, knights and criminals heading down the same path of leaving Winterfell before forking off into different directions: one South to King's Landing and the other further North.
"You both stay safe", Ned advised, voice thick and eyes unsteady. "Only trust your uncle Benjen and keep yourselves quiet. Don't give anyone any reason to send you back. I'll send a raven as soon as I can."
Ned Stark looked at them with conflict in his eyes.
"Will I be able to raven my mother?" she asked, Ned nodded.
"Don't let her know the true reason", he said, "keep the true reason for your stay close to your hearts. And Jon..."
"Yes?" Jon asked.
"When we meet again... I'll tell you of your mother." And with that, he turned his horse down the southern path.
Traveling with a pack of convicted rapers was not something she wanted, but it was the unfortunate scenario of her current life. Lord Tyrion had joined along with Benjen saying the Lannister man was coming to see the Night's Watch.
"They were given a choice no doubt", Lord Tyrion spoke when they rested and Benjen tied the rapers to a tree. "Castration or the Wall. Most choose the knife."
Lord Tyrion read a book as he spoke to them, his eyes occasionally glancing up at them as he spoke.
"Why do you read so much?" Jon asked.
"Look at me and tell me what you see", he answered, "what you see is a dwarf. If I'd been born a peasant, they might've left me out in the woods to die. Alas, I was born a Lannister of Casterly Rock. Things are expected of me, oh with my father having been the Hand of the King for 20 years."
"Your brother killed that king", Y/N said, Tyrion gave her an amused smile. "Is that why your Father wasn't asked to be the Hand again? Bad luck?"
Tyrion chuckled.
"Perhaps bad luck." Tyrion reached near him and grabbed a large, leather pouch and tossed it to them. "A belly full of wine makes the day better. Especially for you, Lady Snow. Running from my nephew has certainly taken its toll on your mind."
Eventually, they did reach the Wall and a heavy pit settled in her belly as she felt Jon's grip slightly tighten around her.
"Welcome", Benjen said, glancing at them from his horse.
Lord Commander Mormont was rude and crass, she determined. Maybe he was always like that or maybe it the years of being here at Castle Black, and the Wall that made him that way.
Castle Black was hardly a castle. It could be best described as a series of wooden buildings that creaked and whistled with the snowy winds that were colder than in Winterfell.
"She's a woman", Mormont said, pacing in the room, "women like her have no place in the Black."
"A bastard?" Benjen asked.
"She may be a bastard but even I can tell she's a beautiful woman", Mormont answered with a roll of his eyes. "Shame really, your Father could have petitioned you to be legitimized. Would have made any Lord happy."
"Quite fortunate for me then", Y/N retorted, "I've great a many tale in my time at Blood Bay about the horrid wifely duties that my Sisters would go through. Old men that could barely move climbing onto them with a prick that could barely function. But unfortunate for us all: my choices were either go to the Black and the Wall, or allow the Prince to climb on top of me. As you can see, I made a choice."
"I'd watch your mouth, girl."
"You'd watch your mouth around my wife", Jon countered, a hard glare in his eyes.
"She needs you to defend her?" Mormont stated with a smirk.
"Nay, she'd do that herself. Seen her shoot down an elk twenty meters away. I have no doubt she'd do that to any man here."
Mormont stared at them before sneering.
"Do not come running to me if she comes across one of the rapers."
Maester Aemon was old and blind who took a feel of her hands and told her, "your hands, they are mostly soft. Rejoice in that because they won't be much longer."
His hands were old and felt frail yet were calloused along the fingertips and knuckles.
While Jon was busy with the trainees that had taken the Black, she was being schooled by the Maester on herbs and poisons; he made her hold ones that made her fingers sticky and others that left her skin raw and burnt.
"The best way to know these is to feel them", Maester Aemon told her, "better than in a book. Better than listening."
"Don't!" Jon hissed, anger flying. "You heard him, Father. He propositioned me! He asked me to allow him a night with my wife! My wife! And then he asked if he could have her in King's Landing with him."
Ned watched Jon, the Stark fury radiating in the young man as Jon paced the room with clenched fists and flowing anger.
"You need to think rationally, brother", Robb tried, "the Prince means to rattle you."
I'm a sucker for reincarnated lovers who never got to be with each other for long/live their lives out together and seeing all the Jace reincarnated AUs made me make this mood board cuz I think the idea of reincarnated lovers is so cute
Especially, the Red String Theory so I made this little mood board for a trope that I always love reading about
Just two lovers finding each again centuries later, finally being able to be together and live out their lives together in peace and grow old together
Anyways, enjoy while I go back to writing about Jon 👋
Jacaerys who whispers, “don’t look at them, look at me,” when the both of you are stranded in the Gullet, in each other’s embrace as enemy fleets surround you with arrows aimed. With a broken leg and a spike lodge into your side, your vision has begun to blacken at the edges.
Your fate has been sealed. You will die here.
Though, the truth is not as scary with Jace holding you close.
“Next time,” you start off, voice wobbly. The only heat you can feel anymore is the tears running down your face before they are washed away by the tides. “If the Gods allow it, I hope to have a longer life together with you, if you will have me.”
Jace kisses your lips, and with all of your remaining strength, you melt into him. It’s slow and salty and most definitely the last you will ever get to have with him.
When you part, he rests his forehead on yours, “I couldn’t think of anything I want more, my love.” You faintly hear the smile in his voice, before everything ebbs into nothing.
Later, Baela finds the both of you floating adrift. Lifeless and cold. Bodies struck by multiple arrows. Yet, still holding each other, neither one of you willing to let the other go.
I wanted to give a small update to the story and that is... I'm expanding it to follow through the story of Game of Thrones! Parts will be longer and I'm re-watching S1 rn so I can make sure I follow the events accordingly while still having my plot.
I also reworked the Masterlist to be divided up a certain way that I hope you guys will like!
So, please expect just a small window of time rn for the next part!
I hope you guys will like what I have planned and continue to stick along for the ride :)
"I've had strange dreams", Chani spoke to her in private. "Of a bald man with eyes as black as an abyss. He tells me he's looked for me... that he needs me."
Y/N furrowed her brow in confusion.
"How long have you had these dreams?" she asked as they watched the dunes.
"Many moons now", Chani relayed. "I... don't know how to feel about these dreams."
Y/N was silent.
"Do the dreams... scare you, Chani?"
"Yes... because I want to know who this man is... and why I feel like I must meet him."

"You almost ready to go, love?" Dennis asked, sitting on the bed as he played with their poodles: Cecilia, Ricky and Romeo. "Ow, Romeo, no stomping Daddy."
Y/N let out a giggle as she watched Dennis being playfully trampled by their poodles on their bed as she lined her lips before putting her favorite brown gloss on her lips.
"Now, I'm ready", she said, tucking her lip essentials into her purse.
She had chosen a pair of flared, bell bottom jeans that were bedazzled on the butt pockets and paired it was a deep burgandy backless halter that was cropped; her heels on her feet, makeup perfect and hair styled with two small pigtails on top, she was ready to hit the town.
And by hit the town, she was ready to head to the bar with Dennis to celebrate Samira's going away party since the woman was leaving to finish out her residency.
“How do I look?” She asked, Dennis smiled.
“You look beautiful, love”, he grinned, a red flush on his ears.
That was one of the things she loved about Dennis: he never tried to control or make her feel bad for what she wore.
Y/N grinned back at him as he stood up.
She moved over to Dennis and wrapped her arms around his neck, a happy smile on her face as she looked at him.
"You look cute", she complimented, watching Dennis' ears turn pink.
He wrapped his arms around her waist with a dopey smile on his lips.
"Thank you", Dennis smiled.
Y/N leaned up to peck Dennis' lips, getting lip gloss on them.
~
The bar that Samira had chosen to hold her little goodbye party at was located around many college campuses in the area (it was also a good choice since they served tasty mocktails since Perlah didn't drink alcohol). So when her and Dennis arrived, she was not shocked at the amount of college kids hanging around.
"Geez, I didn't think it'd be this packed", Dennis commented, holding her hand as he led them through the crowded bar.
"I mean it is based in the college district", she added, watching Dennis's back as he led them to where Trinity was waving them down.
"Over here, Huckleberry!" Trinity called out.
Y/N giggled at the nickname as Dennis shook his head with an eye roll.
It was like walking through a sea of thorns, in a sense, with the amount of people that were at the bar as they made their way to the table.
And with a bar this packed, unfortunately, it meant that it was common to be bumped into as they had been bumped into multiple times.
But finally, they made it with Samira squealing at them in happiness and greeting them.
"You made it!" she cheered.
Victoria, now freshly 21, happily waved at them before Princess and Perlah slid a shot towards her. Victoria paled at the sight of it and Y/N laughed, figuring Victoria was being shoved shot after shot by the two.
"Where's Mel?" Dennis asked, letting her sit at one of the barstool chairs.
He moved to stand behind her, head resting in the crook of her neck.
"Mel said she was coming after her shift in an hour, Frank said he'd give her a ride", Samira informed, Trinity rolling her eyes.
"Trinity", Dennis scolded. "Be nice."
"I am nice", Trinity sniffed.
"You almost got into a fight at the farmer's market over squash", Y/N stated.
"It was overpriced! The customers needed to know!"
With dating Dennis came befriending Trinity, which was actually pretty easy in Y/N's opinion. She rather liked how blunt Trinity could be and she easily became a trust dog-sitter whenever her and Dennis needed one (of course, they reimbursed Trinity for her services with reality TV show nights and food).
"So, tell me", Y/N said, "what's the latest gossip going on in the Pitt? Dennis never tells me!"
"I'm not a gossip!" Dennis argued.
"Yes, you are. You always listen in on the phone calls with my mom."
"Because I want to be in the loop too!"
"That's called being a gossip", Perlah teased
"Hey!" Dennis whined with a pout and nuzzle.
Princess and Perlah were the main gossips of the Pitt from what she learned as the two women nursed delicious looking mocktails there were garnished with big strawberries.
"Rumor has it that Dr. Robby left for sabbatical with a nurse from Peds", Princess gossiped with a grin, sipping her drink.
“Didn’t Fatima leave on vacation with her boyfriend?” Dennis asked her, arms wrapped around her.
Dennis had morphed into his final form: Huckleberry mush as he fully fused to her.
“You two sicken me”, Trinity said with her tongue out, changing the subject.
“Just because you’re still trying to get with Garcia doesn’t mean we sicken you", Dennis countered, "just means you're jealous."
Trinity rolled her eyes as Y/N giggled.
Eventually, Mel and Frank joined them followed with Dana and Al-Hashimi, ending with Cassie and Donnie.
The bar hadn't let up with the crowd, but Y/N found herself not minding as she sat, and conversed with Dennis' coworkers. She enjoyed speaking with them, listening to their ED stories and banter amongst one another that felt easy going and friendly.
"How long have you worked at your family's resturant?" Frank asked, nursing himself a mocktail pina colada.
"Unofficially since I was kid, honestly", she answered, "officially, after high school. College just wasn't for me and I asked if I could work there while I figured things out. And I just stayed, it's honestly kinda fun even if my family drives me crazy. Plus I do the social media marketing for our Instagram and TikTok and that's brought in a lot of customers."
"And Dr. Robby's been a loyal customer?" Dana asked, beer in her hands. "As long as I can remember that man's loved the food there."
"Robby's been going there since I was a kid and they would put me on the register answering phones and taking orders. I literally have his order memorized in my head. The man loves his carne asada and chicken tacos loaded with cilantro and onions, it's borderline criminal."
Her phone buzzed and a quick glance was a text from Fatima, most likely another picture of her on her much deserved vacation.
"Have you guys heard that Abbott's putting himself out there again?" Perlah added.
"Good for him", Dana said, "he's been alone so long. His wife wanted him to find love again."
It was that kind of banter Y/N enjoyed hearing. It was the kind that showed that even when the Pitt crew wasn't around one another, they stilled cared.
Well, Y/N questioned that when it came to the glares that Trinity was giving Frank as Trinity joined Mel to play pool with Frank and Donnie.
"Come get more drinks with me", Victoria said, "I desperately need water."
Victoria had a pleading look on her face as Perlah and Princess chugged on more mocktails.
Y/N giggled and Dennis whined as she separated from him.
"I'm going with Victoria to the bar", she informed, Dennis pouted.
"But I was cozy", he whined.
"Victoria's kidneys are calling for H20."
"Her kidneys are fine."
"I beg to differ", Victoria scoffed with a frown. "I can feel the alcohol burning away the hydration left in them."
"That's called being a lightweight", Dennis countered.
"Potato, potatoe."
In the end, she left with Victoria to grab more drinks with Dennis playfully sulking at the bar top table.
"This place is so crowded", Victoria said as they squeezed past people.
"That's a college-town bar for you", Y/N answered, "my friends used to drag me to them when I wasn't working."
At the bar, they stood, waiting their turn and listened to the music, chatting.
Thing were going well.
Until they weren't.
And it all came about when Y/N felt a full hand grab on her butt. It was deliberate and rough with the perpetrator making sure to squeeze in such a hard manner that it hurt.
Y/N knew it wasn't Dennis because Dennis was sweet. He would lightly pat her butt or put his hand in her back pocket, but never full-on roughly grab her ass like this fucker was.
Victoria's face morphed into shock and Y/N moved away, turning around with a furious look on her.
The frat boy with the tenacious audacity had a look that said he wasn't guilty; instead, he seemed pleased with himself as his buddies behind him cheered him on.
"Sorry, chica", he said, Y/N pulled a disgusted face. "Just wanted to get your attention."
"Fuck off", Y/N spat, "whoever told you grabbing a girl's ass was okay should also fuck off."
The frat boy rolled his eyes, "my name's Jared. Wanted to introduce myself, I saw you across the bar."
"Then you saw she has a boyfriend", Victoria hissed, eyes narrow. "You and creep friends should go back home."
"No ones talking to you", he jeered, his friends seemed to in agreement. "Not like anyone would be with how you look."
Anger filled Y/N because Victoria did not deserve to be treated like that.
"You need to fuck off", Y/N said, "I am not interested. And even if I crazy enough to be, I definitely wouldn't be after you insulted my friend. So how about you and your receding hair line go jerk off somewhere else? Let's go Victoria."
Just as she turned around, a hand gripped her forearm and pulled her back.
A painful, bruising grip squeezed her flesh as Jared the Frat Boy shoved her painful against the bar. Fear gripped her as his eyes filled with fury in the crowded bar as the edge dug into her back.
"You know, I was being nice to a girl like you. Girls who look and dress like you are only good for being cum dumps anyway."
"Get the fuck away from my girlfriend!" Jared was ripped away from her and she saw Dennis' back in front of her, Victoria rushing over to her and hugging her.
"Are you okay?!" Victoria cried out.
Y/N felt like she couldn't speak as the reality of it all settled in.
"Oh, so you're the boyfriend? You?" Jared jeered, a cocky grin on his face. "She good in bed like I was thinking?"
"You have exactly one minute to apologize to my girlfriend and leave", Dennis warned, "which is more than you deserve."
"What? You're gonna fight me?" the guy teased with a laugh.
Dennis was at least five inches shorter than this frat boy but Dennis merely cocked his head.
"You have 30 seconds left."
Jared just shook his head and laughed before shrugging, "watch and see how it's done boys."
Before he could even land a punch, Dennis had already swung and connected his fist into the other's face. Jared stumbled as Dennis swung again, this time blood spilling from his nose and Dennis brought both hands up and fisted the other's shirt.
He swung Jared to the bar, pinning the man... just like how he had done to her.
"You're going to apologize to my girlfriend for scaring her and pining her against the bar", Dennis calmly spoke.
"He also grabbed her ass", Victoria added.
Y/N watched as Dennis inhaled a careful breath.
"You're going to apologize-"
"H-He also implied that Victoria was ugly", Y/N interjected, shaky. "He has to apologize for that too. Victoria's too pretty for a asshole to disrespect her like that!"
"You're going to apologize for all those things", Dennis stated, "and then you and your buddies are going to talk about how to properly talk and treat women. Understood? Or else I'll knock your teeth out. I know how, I'm a doctor."
Dennis smiled as he finished.
Jared's eyes were wide and teary as blood spewed from his crooked nose.
"I-I'm sorry", he stammered.
"Good", Dennis said, releasing him. "Now leave."
They watched he scrambled away.
And just like that, Dennis immediately flocked to her with big eyes filled with concern.
"You okay, love?!" Dennis cried, pouty lips as he looked her over.
Y/N sucked in a shaky breath as he spotted her arm.
"Your arm!" Dennis cooed, looking at the deep red imprint on it.
"You punched that guy", Victoria breathed, eyes wide. "That guy was at least 80 pounds heavier and taller."
"I grew up on a farm with four brothers", Dennis said, examining her person. "I learned a thing or two about how to handle a fight."
"Damn Huckleberry", Trinity spoke, walking towards them. "And here I thought Frank and Donnie were gonna need to save your ass. Guess it's true what they say about that farm boy strength, huh?"
"You okay?" Dennis whispered, she nodded.
"Y-Yeah", she answered, Dennis shook his head.
"The audacity of some of my species", Dennis said with a wrinkle of his nose. "Do you want to stay?"
"Yeah, I don't want that to ruin the good time I was having."
Dennis pressed his lips against her temple.
The rest of the time was filled with Dennis standing guard, eyes narrowing whenever someone came too close that wasn't part of their group.
And that was another she loved about Dennis.
He protected just as fiercely as he loved.
~~
"You're shitting me", Abbott spoke, "Whitaker? Got into a one-sided bar fight?"
It was all over the ED the next shift or rather, at shift change.
"He went all Evil Whitaker on this dude", Langdon spoke, "me and Donnie were heading over behind Santos to help, but he sure had it handled. I'm calling him if I ever get into a fight."
Abbott shook his head in disbelief as he grabbed his things out of his locker.
"Guess you shouldn't underestimate a farm boy", Abbott said, disbelief in his tone.
"Guess you really shouldn't."
Both men peaked out of the room and spied Dennis heading to the break room, mostly likely putting that big ass lunch bag of his away.
