This is a blog for those who are lonely, lost, outcasted, or just looking for a place to belong.
Hello. I am Mother. You may call me Mother or any variant you wish (ex, mama or mom), Miss, Mx, Miss Flutter, Or Vera.
I prefer gender neutral terms. (Which I know sounds strange when I am Mother of Misfits, but that is the truth).
My pronouns are They/fae/xe/flutter/love/dark/void or any neo pronouns really.
I am otherkin. I have many kintypes. The main one relevant to this blog is my deitykin.
Feel free to interact and talk with me.
I wish to keep this blog safe so
DNI: homophobes, transphobes, anti lgbt in any way including anyone xenogender, anti otherkin/therian, abelist, racist, pro sh or Ed, sexist, or any kind of hateful
I keep the right to block to protect my blog and will use it if necessary.
It’s me again I might be a Jax from the amazing digital circus holothere/fictionkin (“Identifying as a physical nonhuman, and being nonhuman in every way.”)
Which makes sense because I’ve pretty fault like him in every-way due to only seeing this purple rabbit as me (during the therapy session with the therapist I had near she that made these apparent feelings come more)
Like having a fear of vulnerability, my mother not accepting me being transfem , a guilty conscience regarding my crush’s death in a house fire and/or not knowing what she saw in me , it’s like I’m always physically/biologically him which gets frustrating those past few days.
Wanting people not to go looking deeper and finding some hidden interpersonal truth/some rejection happening over this.
Push them away cuz getting close seems scarier because in the show I abstracted over not accepting being trans and ways in which I was unpleasant weren’t inexcusable/justified.
The time at that session I was embarrassed of sharing anything but ended telling everything anyway (being reminded of Ribbit’s abstraction makes me regretful having been such a horrible friend towards her..!)
Seeing my panic attack in ep 7 last year destroyed me mentally on account of not wanting to be this way anymore.. (+ plus my own mother calling Jax evil actually hurt me)
That sounds so difficult, dear. I am sorry that these things have happened to you, though I am glad you have discovered your identity. Even if it's still difficult, knowing things about ourself does sometimes ease the burden.
And I do quite relate to it being a struggle seeing some of your kins suffer in media. Especially when you're extremely connected, experiencing shifts, etc.
I wish I had more to add, but I don't quite know what else to say. I do appreciate your ask though and am always happy when beings feel comfortable enough to talk to me.
I hope you have a lovely day/night and may you find peace in your life. <3
Hi I’ve been feeling like Hanako-San from the Japanese urban legend not sure if it’s a theriomythic experience (questioning this since last year)
The signs are really strong like unignorable and unpleasant to try to bury down (kinda want to embrace this..)
The Google “explanation” for this identity makes me crawl out of my skin cuz it’s so inaccurate and I want it gone.. (I’m doubting myself because of it)
It’s been easier to just be unapologetically myself sense recently due to being used to it from growing up as a weird kid.
Hello! Thanks for the ask! I'm glad you're figuring yourself out. And yeah, it's never really good to try and bury a part of yourself. As someone who has tried so on multiple times and multiple ways, it rarely works out and usually makes thing worse.
I'm not surprised Google had a bad explanation. Unfortunately alterhuman identities and such are still not the most well known and are very stereotyped and stigmatized. Besides, it's Google and Google is not the best place to try and find answers.
It's 100% good to be unapologetically yourself. I've found much joy in expressing myself and in learning to stop trying to please others. And I also definitely agree with the being a weird kid part, that was me growing up as well.
(Also, urban legends are really cool. I had a phase were I was obsessed with them. I should look back into them.)
It's interesting how a lot of people who hate deitykins, godkins, divinekins, etc always default to calling them egotistical.
To them, the identity has to be about being self-centered. And first off, I don't see what's wrong with that. Whether they identify that way because they are "self-centered", or they have a disorder that makes them identify as or feel like a God, or any other reason, that's valid. What does it matter? Reasons do not mean action. Why they identify that way is not guaranteeing how they will act. So why assume they must be "evil" and "manipulative"?
Second off, at least in my experience, I feel quite the opposite way. My deitykin identity makes me feel worse about myself oftentimes. (As in how I experience it, not the act of identifying with that label.)
Because all I can think as I look at the state of the world is- "If I just had my powers, if I just had my deity abilities, I could fix it. I could help so many people. I could save so many. I could make it better."
And maybe by definition that is egotistical. To think I alone can change the world. But it isn't in the way people assume it would be. I don't feel pride. Just guilt. Guilt at not being able to do what I could if I was my deity self. I don't identify as a deity because I think so highly of myself. Instead, sometimes I feel so low about myself because I'm a deity. Because I'm a deity who can't do anything godlike.
If that sounds "evil", then that's fine.
Besides, as I said, I think it's fine if those who identify with such labels do so for "evil" reasons.
It's just so interesting and one of the many ways you can see a disconnect from those forming such harsh opinions and those who actually identify as such.
Quiet funnily enough, I realize not long after I am in fact a therian! A bird quite specifically, and yet I have trouble for gram what kind of bird I am and I need some tips or tips to help leave me it's life, make it easier to be a bird while still passing as human, or to find a way to live as myself without too many restraints-
Do you have any tips along those lines..?
Oh, I'm so happy you figured it out!
I'll do my best to give some advice. Anyone is able to add on to this.
I'm putting my answer below a cut because I did get a bit long with it. Hopefully it helps.
For figuring out the specific type, discovering that goes differently for different beings and creatures. If you experience shifts, pay attention to how they feel, they may give you hints. If you don't experience any shifts, don't worry, that's perfectly valid. Try imagining your form. If you had your ideal body, what would it look like? Color, size, anything. What feels right?
Look at different birds, imagine yourself as them or with their traits. Call yourself it.
For some it might click easily.
But it's okay if it doesn't click. You may have multiple types, may be one that doesn't exist, a mix, simply a bird in general, or just unsure. Whatever it is, it's okay. You don't need to stress too much about it. You're still a bird even if you don't know what kind. Besides, it often seems the easiest way to figure out your identity is by letting the label find you.
Now, as for the second part of your question:
My biggest suggestion is to find community. Connect with other therians if you can. Find community with them. Make friends.
Though I'd recommend avoiding the discourse heavy sections of the community. Don't listen to those who will try to argue about your identity. They aren't worth it.
Find the kind creatures.
Now, if you're willing to deal with possible hate, you can express yourself publicly. But that is something you should think through a lot before doing. Do not risk it if it is unsafe to do so. Find what is safe to do in your area, what level you can safely convey. Maybe you can't call yourself a therian openly where you live, but maybe you can get away with calling yourself a bird if they think its a joke. Or maybe you can get away with wearing gear or therian symbols/flags. Maybe changing your wardrobe a bit is an option. It depends on how accepting where you live is.
And I would like to strongly repeat, put your safety first. It is sad to have to hide yourself, but you must keep yourself safe.
As for ways to subtly express your identity, you can try:
Long, flowy sleeves can mimic wings decently well.
Ruffled clothes can imitate feathers.
Get fake feathers to add to your outfits. Whether a feather boa or hair clips. Shop around and add them to your wardrobe.
Bird feet printed socks.
Tie sweaters or jackets around your shoulders to act as wings.
You can also just get bird themed or printed things. Clothes, necklaces, room decor, anything with a bird image.
You can also theme your room around your habitat. Tree themed or sky themed, a mix of both. Whatever you like best.
At home, you can drape a blanket over your back to act as wings.
Watching clips of flying or playing online flying games can help with the feeling of flight.
Make a nest of pillows and blankets if you can.
Spend some time outside.
Make nests with dry grass or twigs you find. (You may have to take them apart after to avoid questions though)
Swings are great for feeling like flying.
Many birds like to collect things, so you could start a collection.
Practice whistling and learn how to do different bird calls.
That's all I can think of as of now. I hope I helped, if even a little.
Hello, I noticed that you've been incredibly inactive (via what you said, I cannot view times due to being on mobile)
But if you're available, I do need some help with figuring out some personal things when it comes to wether or not I'm some kind of therian, alter human, other human, ect ect (forgive me if I use the incorrect terms, I'm still learning. I learned a good couple of these only a couple minutes ago and I have yet to memorize them due to neurodivergency and it being really late on my side)
If you're not available then I understand, but if you are then I would prefer to send another ask, if that's okay with you-. Stuff with specifications basically-
You may send another ask if you wish.
I will do my best to respond. I have been quite inactive lately, but I do still love aiding those in need.

Alright. I want to make a new blog (unrelated to alterhumanity sadly) but I do not want to make a new email. Besides, I already have too many blogs I don't use.
Though I'm undecided if I'm going to delete this one or another one I'm considering.
(Was debating on whether to link that blog or not. But why not? It's @thelittlefirepup )
This blog gets more interaction and i do enjoy it, but it also makes me feel sorta pressured when posting. (I know I'm not but it feels like it.) I might delete them both in the future, but for now, it will just be one.
So:
Which blog should I delete?
This one (You'll be missed)
The other one (please don't leave)
may aswell do both
neither/a different blog

If I get no answers, I'll flip a coin or something.
Nevermind. I tried to delete the other one and despite not using it in months, I nearly had a panic attack when i went to delete it. I'm just making a new email, unfortunately.
I'm not sure why I am so attached, but I am. I'll hopefully get around to deleting it later, so I can unclutter my accounts, but I don't feel like going through the anxiety if trying to force myself through it.
So turns out I'm keeping both. My brain is weird like that I guess. Feel free to check the other one out? Since I guess my brain won't let me delete it anyways?

Hey guys, just a General psa please do not go on trails/do quads barepawed.
I pick up glass on almost every trail I hike. I find pieces in the dirt from old bottles some on top of the soil some you have to pull up from the dirt.
You can very very easily cut up your paws doing this! If you are doing quads I would make sure to always have some form of protection on your paws! That and to work up forming callous on them!(As well as always watch for the shines especially when walking your pets as well!) Be safe out there! 🐕📢
I dislike how caracals are shown as cute, sweet, and friendly the majority of the time online.
We aren't, we can be vicious, terrifying, dangerous.
We are wild animals.
We bite, we are predators, we are not afraid to use our claws.
Yeah, humans unfortunately love to make assumptions on creatures they barely know. They always think they have the right to define what they are even if evidence points otherwise. Because they believe they are superior and therefore must be right.
On an unrelated note, when reading this, I pronounced caracal as carousel and thought that was what it meant. I momentarily forgot how carousel was spelt and thought this post was talking about them instead. It made this post very confusing for second.
weird ass cult. You're praying on innocent people, y'know? That's horrible.
???
I haven't even posted in how long? I'm unsure what you are talking about. The fact I'm deitykin?
I never asked people to praise or serve me? All I did was spread love? Nor did I go out looking for people. Those who found me found me, and what they chose to do is their choice.
I return after a good few months' absence and see this randomly in my inbox. Wow.
Even funnier is that this was sent to me a little over a month ago. I've been absent for close to 5 months now. You came to my blog to hate and didn't even notice that I've been absent. Or perhaps you did and that is what gave you the courage to do so.
You know what? I was debating on deleting this blog since I haven't been posting here and had basically abandoned it, but nevermind. Because of you, I now have the desire to come back and to keep this blog. Just to spite you.
Spite is a powerful thing. And I am quite spiteful.
I do not remember much of my home. I do remember I lived in the void between all, as I have mentioned before. It was a place where nothingness itself was tangible. The place was both liquid and gas, solid and not. It is hard to explain.
I had made my own little camp there, made something out of the nothing to make someplace a bit more hospitable for those who may visit me and also to entertain myself.
But I also vaguely remember a place that was similar to that void, but everything was outlined in bright, almost glowing outlines.
It looked vaguely like this:
(Although better and more realistic looking objects. I am not the best artist.)
I do not know if this place was separate from the void I know or a part of it. This place could have existed within the void, or the void could have existed here. I am unsure.
Other than this, I remember a blue wolf in this realm.
(Plain text because I do not have the energy to color it, unfortunately, though I want to)
While I was hoping for my motivation to return, it doesn't seem like it will. I do not want to abandon this blog, so I will leave it up to you all how I reshape it.
Sadly, while I enjoy helping others, I quickly burnt out under the expectation of giving advice. It grew to the point where I felt anxiety anytime I looked at the Tumblr icon and refused to open this blog out of fear someone else might have asked me for advice and guilt for all the asks in my inbox.
For the sake of my mental health, I will unfortunately be clearing my inbox without responding to any asks in there.
As for this blog, as I said, I do not want to abandon it. I hope that reshaping it will bring back the joy I once had for it.
Here is a poll of different ways I could change this blog, any can respond, although this is mostly aimed at my few followers.
what should this blog now be for
sharing my otherkin/deitykin experiences
offering support/self care reminders/positive messages
vent blog (you can send me any vent (I may not respond, I'll still post it)
Otherkin/deitykin positivity
A combo of some of these
All of the above
other (put in comments)
up to you/idc
delete the blog (do not know why you would pick this, but you can)
I love helping people, but I hate having people rely on me. I both love and hate being looked up to. Because I am caught in a cycle with motivation that ebbs and flows in waves. I lose energy for things so easily, even if I love to do them. And I so desperately want to keep this blog running, to help people, but I stare at my inbox of beings asking for advice or help and can do nothing but sit and feel the desire to help but no motivation to do so.
I hate feeling the inevitable moment where my motivation leaves me. Where all I can do is scrape the bare scraps of my energy just to make a post venting my problems. Unable to help others with theirs.
I feel weak. It feels like I have failed my children. I despise this feeling. I despise knowing it is inevitable, that it will always come for me. It is tiring. I am tired.
And I know those of you who have come to me seeking comfort or advice will tell me it's okay, to put myself first, but it is hard. I feel like I have failed and I am so sorry.
I have nothing left to do but hope my motivation comes back sooner rather than later.
I hate stupid human bodies with their limitations and issues.
I may take a bit to get to anyone asking for advice or just posts in general. My mental health has taken a bit of a fall, but I will get to it eventually.
