The loud whistle blows you cover your ears there’s too much noise words you don’t want to hear The parallel rows of pieces of steel transport your thoughts making them vivid and real Supported by its concrete ties wheels roll like thunder you’re almost out of time You watch as one goes east while one goes west there’s two trains now and no time left You close your eyes and silently scream you want to wake up from this hellish dream Decisions to make no more contemplation the trains keep going and they’ve almost reached their destination This is your choice no time for blame No matter what you decide you know one thing You will never again ride a train.
