This isn't the first terrible thing Mazepin has done. Here is a (by now means extensive) list of some things Mazepin has done (I'm excluding the recent sexual assault here):

signed with ferrari before he even turned 21 and became the second youngest driver in ferrari history

became teammates with seb, a 4x world champion who charles has admitted he was intimidated by/scared of in the beginning bc of his accomplishments

has never said a bad thing about seb in 2 years and is constantly seeking his approval and actually publicly gushes about seb who he obviously really likes

refuses to acknowledge that he has the main leadership role on the team because he hasn’t achieved anything especially compared to seb

tries over and over on social media and in interviews to reiterate that there is no bad blood between them and he has nothing but respect for seb and still has had his words/relationship with seb twisted negatively

likes every single tweet he sees where seb says nice things about him

so imagine how it must have felt for charles to be gifted seb’s helmet from his last race with ferrari with a handwritten note on it telling him he’s the most talented driver seb has seen in 15 years of f1 lol. seb who has raced against schumacher, alonso, hamilton, rosberg etc etc and now max verstappen/george russell, telling charles HE’S the biggest talent seb’s seen in f1. bruh. imagine being charles rn wtf
