Due to a conservative group called Collective Shout pressuring payment processors, itch.io has deindexed and removed several games with adult content hosted on their platform, including many indie 18+ otome games. This is following a similar removal of games on Steam earlier this week.

Game thief stole again! They have a pattern!

I’ll begin with good news: the page sharing The Remainder is down!

Thank you so much to everyone who reported and shared! I was so stressed about this yesterday and it encouraged me to see so many people coming up to help. So thank you, I give you all a big hug.

But, the thief is not done. @nellydreadful brought up that the same thing happened to Man-Eater Games

It is very likely done by the same person, the pattern is too similar.

name of the user is first and last name

info copy/pasted from the original page

game is posted for free

simple colour bg of the project page.

So if you notice any new games popping up on itch fitting this profile, google the name of it to see if it was already existing game. Let me know what you find and I’ll try to spread the word.

This thief is most likely packing some malware in the game they stole. I don’t know what else would be the point of what they are doing since they are posting it for free.

Please take a minute to report them, the button is on the bottom of the itchio page.

Hopefully they will give up doing this when they see their pages can’t live long.

And I just want to remind people of what is happening at Boca Chica beach and wildlife refuge, the site of SpaceX's largest launch and test site. Here is a PBS shortfilm on it and what affects it has on the local community and local indigenous community. Here is an article on it more focused on the impacts on migratory birds.

If we do not put a stop to it, Johnston Atoll will face the same impacts, if not worse, as in Boca Chica and SpaceX's numerous other launch sites.

Not even mentioning that Johnston Atoll was perviously a launch site used by the U.S. government in the 60's and we know from the past what will happen to the ecosystem if it occurs again.

When I was learning how to cook for myself in my tweens, I had at least a five years of fire safety seminars from school drilling this into my head, and I STILL had that instinctive put-the-fire-out-with-water reflex. Didn’t even think. I saw our oily burner catch fire after frying eggs, whipped around towards the sink for water, and my brain immediately screamed NO!!! NO WATER! I mean that fire safety stuff straight up bitchslapped me out of REFLEXIVELY setting my house on fire. I found a pot lid and inched it over the burner before turning off the heat. Even if you think you know this stuff, panic is powerful shit. Make knowledge more powerful.
