They were both raised to become one of the best, for him they wanted him to become one of the best midfielders the world has ever seen, and for her they wanted her to become one of the best defenders (who plays in midfield from time to time) the world has ever seen, but with this status they have a created a form of rivalry between one another, but despite their rivalry the media has grown a liking to the pair and mentioned from time-to-time how perfect the pair would be if they just actually talked to one another. 

With ups and downs, injuries and warming benches, playing minutes in tournaments and the World Cups, to traitors, lies, rumours, and fake news, the duo may soon find themselves being friends - or maybe something more…

synopsis ⇢ In an alternative universe where there are superheroes and supervillains, in world so different from ours. In this alternative universe Charles loves Y/n, the women who works been working in the same restaurant since she was sixteen, the very same women who cares and raises her younger brother, and the same women who hates the billionaire. Y/n’s heart however did belong to another, to a man who swung through the city every so often, saving their world with his grumpy companion, Ghost, and a few other heroes. Her heart belonged to Spider-Man.

When he’s not being a so called billionaire, and when she’s not being a waitress, they both become their secret identities, he Spider-Man, and her as Ghost.

(Charles loves Y/n, Y/n loves Spider-Man, but despite her love, she hides it when she’s Ghost as expresses that Ghost and Spider-Man were platonic companions, and she’s is only allowed to love Spider-Man when she’s herself)

Neither one knowing the other’s true identity - and maybe if they did, maybe things would be much easier for them - but in none of their universes do they ever experience an “easy” life.

This is for the ones who grew up thinking they would one day be a superhero like the ones in the comics. To the ones who grew up pretending to be superheroes, never realising they were now truly one. This is for those heroes who are fighting an invisible battle. I see you. And I’m proud - keep going! This is for our heroes.
