We are releasing it on aqua cassettes, complete with download code & righteous poster and limited to 50. The cassettes will only be available at our forthcoming live shows. Includes four previously unreleased tracks, covers of Sex Hands, Furrow & Times New Viking and the earliest Mowbird recording.
Tracks: Holy Moly (Home Demo) - previously unreleased, the earliest Mowbird recording (2010) Yeah, Jackie! - previously unreleased, originally recorded for the Excellent, OK EP (2010) Gusto - demo, recorded in a Newport bedroom (2011) Velvet Vulpine - part of a double a-side (2011) Dear Daria - part of a double a-side (2011) Way, No Way - a cover of the Sex Hands song recorded in a chapel as part of a planned (but later scrapped) split with Sex Hands for Popty Ping (2012) Be My Jill Valentine - a song written for Valentines Day, inspired by our joint favourite video game series, Resident Evil (2013) *We also once played a Halloween gig dressed as ResiEvil characters - Ben S as Chris Redfield, Mike as Barry Burton, Sue as Jill Valentine & Ben Trow as one of the chainsaw villagers from RE4 - the gig was awful* Carousel - the b-side to our Happy Active Horse Organ single for Popty, recorded in the same session as Islander (2013) Audrey, Are We Lost? - previously unreleased, recorded in the same session as Islander (2013) Lady Lion (feat. Sweet Baboo) - single recorded with JT from Islet, featuring Sweet Baboo on guitar & vocals (2014) Teen Drama - cover of the Times New Viking song and the b-side to the Lady Lion single (2014) Rites Of Spring - cover of the Furrow song, performed by Ben S, who recorded the original song with Furrow (2014)

This is a really great interview with Deerhoof about recording/writing
It is with great personal sadness that we have to announce our departure from live performance for at least the remainder of the year due to illness. We always have a blast playing our stuff live but we'll return with a vengeance when we can.
Whilst we won't be playing live for a while, we're still planning to record the big dinner bowl of sludgy-fuzzy hits sitting on the side for you to hear before the end of the year.
