28 | Associate at NEXON and Co. | Proud dad of a Siamese kitten

Hi! I have to say I’ve gotten so busy that I didn’t really expect it either, so if you’re thinking I ran away, I didn’t! I got a new job at a manufacturing company, as their ‘delivery truck boy’ and although it’s not exactly everyone’s cup of tea, I’ve always wanted to drive those large trucks. Therefore until April 6th, I’ll be back and forth with the movement transferring packages. If anyone is curious to what kind of trucks I’m talking about, looky-heur! 

Just send me a message if you’re fed up with me being gone, I’ll try and reply at gas-stops if I manage to get a signal. I’m going down south, therefore it might take a couple of days before I re-do another ‘keep reading’ post about where I am and if I’m alive or not. (Watched too much criminal minds, I’m scared of being killed for the big truck.)

❝ chicken soup for the soul ❞

it’s not very often that london falls sick, but today seems to be an exception. she tugs the sleeves of her hoodie over her fingers, sniffling quietly as she walks down the aisle, eyeing the shelves of canned soup. 

she just manages to tuck a can of chicken soup in the crook of her arm before she sneezes, bringing her arm up to muffle her nose against her sleeve, but it’s a gesture that has the can falling from her grasp and rolling away. london sighs, for a moment watching it roll away, before she’s pulling out a tissue from her pocket to wipe her nose. 

the can stops at the heel of someone’s shoe, and london bends down to pick it up, ready to apologise. 

“sorr– oh? ah, oppa. hey.”

Once in a while, it’s nice to eat less take out, and although he is a great cook, Kyunghwan has almost no time to even chew; let alone make something. He just realized recently that the smell of Chinese food-- The shit everyone gets when they go to a restaurant is basically the smell of his apartment. It was time to change, and he figured weekends are a great time for him to stock up and cook for what can last him a week. The grocery store seemed less busy during the week and so he’d planned to leave during his break and get somethings fresh and canned. 

Speaking of cans, one just happened to hit his foot lightly as he turned for the aisle with the canned food. He went to pick it up but a girl already reached for it, he backed away as to be less of a bother just standing there. The voice was familiar, and when she looked up, he grinned-- then frowned. “Hey, are you alright?”

“What are you doing here?”

it wasn’t that she hadn’t heard of the term before, but more like she never really knew what it meant. finding the answer to that question wasn’t one of her priorities either. “why? i think it’s better not to find out,” she answered quietly across the table that separated them. she can’t help but shudder at the thought of finding out.

Kyunghwan laughed, he nodded agreeing. “Let’s not find out,” He said, seeming to agree. Picking up his phone he looked busy typing something, his grin made it suspecious but once he stopped typing the grin faded. “Good god, that’s just gross..” He mumbled. “It means this--” He lowered the brightness on his phone, avoiding eyes of people and slowly but stealthy he slid the phone to Sohye showing her the Urban Dictionary definition of ‘going down on someone’. “You’ll hate me and probably stop eating that pizza but I wanted to enlighten you so you don’t stay in the dark too long about it.” He gave off a playful laugh.

Minki raised a brow at the question, seemingly from nowhere actually but she was fighting the small urge to laugh because really, this was not the kind of thing to be said out loud. “You might wanna hush up a little if you wanna get into this conversation topic.” She hummed, taking a sip of her juice a moment later. “Oral sex. That’s what it means, oppa. To go down on someone like– godown on them in their nether regions. Makes a lot sense actually.” Her reply came with a fake innocence, sweet smile on her lips before the laughter bubbled over it.

The pop went down the wrong pipe, and Kyunghwan started an endless coughing binge. Once it settled, and his eyes were less red, (his ears too). Looking up at Minki he shook his head in disbelief and scoffed. “That is...” He stopped, looked around before back at Minki “Disturbing.” He lowered the glass of pop realizing it was probably a bad idea to rage his cough once more, settling with just staring at the ice melting. He thought about why he even brought up the question before he let out a laugh. “Hold on, and you know this how? Aren’t you a little too young to be that in depth about--” He lowered his voice and lowered his head closer to the table. “Sex ed?” As if him being seven years older gives him any right to ask that to a legal (by law) adult.

Lost Kitten

It was time for his monthly restock, which resulted in his arms filled with bags full of paints and expensive canvas’. As he waited for the elevator, juggling the supplies, he had a thought that maybe he should planned this out better- especially when one of the canvas’ nearly go tumbling from his arms, only to be caught precariously as he slid into the opened doors, using an elbow to oh so carefully hit the button for his floor. He leaned against one of the walls, trying to rearrange his handful as the doors started to close, a kitten slipping in just as they did- narrowly missing his tail. A small meow had him looking down, blinking a few times as the kitten rolled around his legs, rubbing against him as if Raiden was made of cat nip. “Uh…hello cutie…” he says, unable to crouch for fear he’d lose his tedious grip on his supplies. “who do you belong to?” The elevators began their ascent, Raiden keeping an eye on the small creature that had decided his foot would make a good bed.

Kyunghwan left his door open ajar for a moment. It probably wasn’t even a minute before he turned to close it but a certain fur ball purring when he walked in was out of sight. He waited a bit, turned around, searched it’s usual hiding spots by the entrance of his apartment but nothing. He frowned as he realized she must’ve ran out. “Aphro?” He whispered, head low and body slightly bent as he searched the hallway. It was slowly worrying him. The cat is a kitten, it doesn’t look as fat and healthy as most Siamese cats in its age, she’s rather malnourished and it’s due to her habit of just drinking water and milk and rarely eating. “Aphro???” His voice grew impatient and his eyebrows knotted only released when he heard a ‘ding’ from the elevator. It wasn’t down in his level but reached a different floor coincidentally at the same time a kitten, hypothetically could’ve made it’s way into the elevator.  Kyunghwan felt huge responsibility when it came to that kitten. Therefore, not wasting time, he closed the apartment door, and rushed for the elevator to the floor it indicated it was on. Took a while, and he was more impatient, fingers through his hair messing it up more than its usual mess. The ‘ding’ noise of the elevator took too long, and as finally the doors slowly opened, he noticed down the hall, a male figure with more art supplies in his arms than he’d ever personally seen but what intrigued him more was the obedience of Aphrodite, his kitten as he told her to sit, she’d sit, follow, she’d follow. “H-How is he doing that?”

before she could take a bite of the pizza slice that she held in her hand, the sudden change in topic made her pause and put the slice down. with a horrified expression, sohye whispered, “you don’t just ask that in public! and i barely know what that is, don’t ask me…” she sipped from her ginger ale to avert her attention to something– anything else other than the topic being brought up. nodding in response, she didn’t really have an answer. shrugging, sohye finally replied, “i’m almost 22, so i barely know where people come up with these strange words.”

“Is it something bad?” His eyes widened, he lowered his cola down to the table and leaned forward. The two look like lost ducks in a field of chicken. It isn’t like anyone is staring at them but now that Kyunghwan is worried the term means something shouldn’t be said in public has him slightly anxious. “Wow, now I seriously want to know what it means!” He says, elbows propped on the table and whispering quietly to Sohye.

“What does it mean to ‘go down on someone’?” Kyunghwan asked out of nowhere. His mouth was finally done chewing the greasy slice of pizza in his hand, taking a long drink of his cola, he begins to speak again. “I mean I keep hearing the term and it’s starting to show in my age-- I’m only 28! These kids are coming up with slang that makes zero sense!”

Portfolio

Sooyun was going through her style book portfolio and as she was examining her old pics she felt it was time to update her style book. She’s had a few ideas that had been rolling around in her head lately and this seemed like the perfect time to do that. She went to her supplies case and noticed that wuite a few of her essential products were nearly gone. If she wanted to film her work and update her style book there was no way she could do that without her essentials which included her eyeliner, concealer, mascara, and her favorite collection of urban decay eyeshadows. She sighed and grabbed her purse as she made a mental check list of what she needed most. The first place she stepped into was a department store that was not far from her apartment building that had some of her favorite products. She grabbed a basket as she exchanged greetings with one of the sales clerks and went about browsing the wide range of make-up and beauty products.

No one ever has woken Kyunghwan up too early and survived but this was different. He felt bad for his co-worker at NEXON having her pregnant with twins and getting married in two days, her legs are so sore from just talking two steps that she couldn’t come to work and now since she’s always been the one to run errands and get Kyunghwan his tea, he owes her. She made it clear which make-up brushes to get. Something flat and large, something small and pointy, and a third one with white in the bottom and black on top. “Or was it black in the bottom and white on top?” When it came to hacking a phone or computer, he could do it with his eyes closed. However, here he is wide eyed shaking his head in defeat. “U-umm, excuse me,” He nudged the girl next to him, politely he bowed his head in respect before pointing to his scribbled down notes of the three brushes. “Could you help me with these brushes? I can’t tell which is which...” He says in a sigh of defeat and looks back towards the brushes bewildered. He thought he’d have to seek 3 brushes in a pile of 30 max, but this entire wall had over a hundred brushes.
