I think my favourite joke theory I've heard about Power Rangers is that the Ranger's morphers/connection to the morphing grid censors their language and they don't even notice.

The Ranger's think they are swearing their normal amount but especially in costume, the suit/morpher makes their words sound family friendly because they're the protectors of the world, they've got to keep up a good image in case little ears are listening.
