Rolo’s traditional dance garments

male court dancers wear the more flamboyant costumes than their female counterparts. Each pair of pants is custom made to match each dancer’s colors and receiving them is a sacred honor.

Each dancer also wears a wicker conical mask that’s painted to match their facial features. Traditional dances can be enjoyed by everyone, but professional court dancers perform all with no vision to demonstrate their prowess and provide a enjoyable theatrical feel.

The avian race have the innate abilities of silent movement and invisibility, and therefore all accessories worn by natives are all made of soft materials to prevent noise, ex. The needle-felted birds on Rolo’s waist and his yarn tassels.

Making noise by wearing clamorous jewelry and accessories is considered crass.

The only time there’s an exception to this is in the accessories that adorn court dancers, as bells and chimes signify revelry.
