Just briefly: I did not ever actually expect it to be canon. I don’t think there was ever a point in the show where Elliot could return Tyrells feelings for real. And that’s okay. Guys, at the end of the day it’s a show. It’s a ship. We’ve got fanfiction.

I think if you invest a lot of your feelings about a show into a ship that will not be canon you will end up disappointed and miss out on appreciating the other great aspects, and the show ended in a pretty great way so I think it would be a shame if this happened to people, y’know? I’m not trying to hate on anyone. Let’s just all breathe. It’s ok.

Thoughts on the finale:

It was good imo. It was just really, really spectacularly written and I think it’s clear that Sam knew what he was doing from the beginning with this. I was honestly really unsettled by Elliot being an alter, but it all makes sense to me and I’m glad it ended how it did.

I definitely have some unanswered questions, but hopefully Sam will address those outside the show. One thing I don’t think really needs to be answered though is exactly what White Rose’s machine was and did. To me, it was implied that it basically did what Elliot was doing. I don’t know exactly how she planned on doing this for everyone and maybe Sam will explain it at some point, but I feel satisfied with what I know about it.

I’m sure a lot of Tyrell fans are pretty disappointed with the way that his story went and I agree with that. I do wish we’d gotten more closure, but I’m going to say that the blue light was the blue screen of death theory that was floating around. What happened to him is one thing I hope Sam expands on.

Angela...I love Angela. I’m really, really sad about Angela but I think I came to terms with her fate a little easier.

The whole thing with Elliot and Darlene was so fucking beautiful and it just completely made it for me. “Hello Elliot,”was one thing but I just lost it with, “There was one thing it didn’t have.” I love that Sam made their relationship the focus here. They’ve been fighting for and protecting each other and it just makes sense to me. But I do wish we’d gotten answers to Darlene’s kidnapping as a kid and also if she knew about Elliot being molested. I feel like it was implied that she did a little bit but I was hoping for a scene where it was talked about between the two of them.

Overall, I’m very emotional and was a total wreck by the end. IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY TO SEE THIS SHOW TRENDING ON TWITTER TOO. We did it, kids.
