It’s been dawning on me the past few months how much I engage with nostalgia. It’s to a point that I don’t believe is particularly healthy. Going forward I think I’ll need to find ways to live in the present and to be fulfilled with what I’m currently doing instead of clinging to idealizations of the past. Blackbox manages to engage with those idealizations while being quite aware of the effects of that engagement. Really strikes a chord with me.
