Blizzcon had an hour-long event called ‘Overwatch: What’s in the loot box?’ that was only available to virtual ticket holders and people attending live, so they’d have to specifically go to that event instead of the super-hyped USA vs South Korea match.

A bunch of people went there and got virtual tickets thinking that it’d be, at the very least, a reveal of something new that was coming to Overwatch loot boxes, if not actually getting something cool and exclusive for attending.

Turns out that - There was supposed to be a giant loot box on stage, but it didn’t make it through customs, so the stage was completely empty aside from the panellists - The panellists were three YouTubers guessing for almost an hour straight as to what was in loot box prop that didn’t exist - For the big reveal, after an hour of time-wasting, another YouTuber walked on stage and was like “uhhhh yeah it was supposed to be me in the box, haha, i was going to be in a costume but i didn’t do that, anyway that’s it, thanks for coming guys”

Even though you could only see the front couple of rows on the stream, you could still see people walking straight out before the event even wrapped up, after realising it was one of the biggest convention trainwrecks since Dashcon.
