They are limited to one small meal a day and one shower a week. They are sleeping on the floors, but no one can sleep since there is bombing everywhere around them. i've been feeling incredible anger and frustration lately with these posts lamenting what the next four years will look like in the u.s., how much "worse" things will get under the trump administration, as if we haven't been witnessing a holocaust for the past year funded by the biden administration. if you have seen a single video from gaza, a single picture, read a feature from a gazan journalist, spoken to a single person in your inbox when they plead for your attention and help, words like "worse" or "better" turn to ash in your mouth. just yesterday my friend hilda texted me that even when her family manages to get food, smoke from the fire needed to cook aggravates her sinus allergies, making it difficult to breathe. this is how she's been living for the past year and a month, under a democrat-funded genocide.

Especially on (US) election Day remember the Palestinian cause. Both candidates participate in a genocide against Palestinians, either win is a loss. You can't celebrate or mourn the results without remembering over 43,000 innocents have been killed thus far as a result of the genocide. A vote for either candidate is a vote for the deaths of Palestinians. Neither one is a moral choice, there is no lesser of two evils. the most depressing part is that it's not even kamala's stance on genocide that is costing her the elections. i wish it were. it's people genuinely shifting for trump. but it's the pro-palestine movement that's going to get the blame for it.

Not to get ahead of myself but I don't think many people will choose the last option, yet that's what Mohammed (@ayeshjourney) does everyday for his fellow Palestinians. Not only through his work in the health sector, which is in and of itself extremely dangerous as it involves going into perilous area to help injured people. But also because he is tirelessly working to vet fundraisers on the ground, which also means getting through some of the most targeted areas of Gaza. All to make sure other Palestinians can get their fundraisers shared and brought to attention.
His work is inestimable, that is why we should support him as much as possible. He is now asking for our help : his brother needs to repair his hearing device and get the appropriate medical support due to his hard of hearing condition. On top of that, him and his family are currently displaced, in an area where IOF troops and tanks are stationed, trying to hide from frequent shootings. And now he is getting accused of being a scam by zionists, which is greatly impeding his fundrasing efforts!
