This morning I turned in my final edits for Hazardous Tales #7 RAID OF NO RETURN, a book about the famous B-25s of the Doolittle Raid in 1942. (Out in November!) I typed, "It's a wrap on RAID!" Then I went out for a run in beautiful Provo Canyon. I looked up at a loud noise and was stunned to see a B-25 flying low through the canyon. I wasn't fast enough to get a great pic. It was moving pretty fast. But I did get it. The twin props and unmistakeable tail fins. The only place to see these planes is at vintage air shows. I've never actually seen one in flight. And there it was. If I was superstitious, I'd say this was an auspicious omen. I mean WOW!
