@mrreebot
this video emits so much positive energy
When the bard rolls a 20
honestly did the Nichijo team ever animate anything else cause
This anime is in my top 5 for sure.
the background music really cements this as an Experience
god im going to be fucking hallucinating this video for months ok there’s just so much to this to break down
the initial fact they’re talking through a hand puppet with the oobi eyes
the horrible, horrible desynch between their words and the movements of the hand
lack of any clear place the hand is looking
“dwells in the depths”. just the whole sentence itself and the weird inflection on it.
the fact that the dude clearly already discovered this thing and was so moved by it they went to record it
“wuoah”, and the split second of open-palmed hand that no longer resembles a puppet
the weird fade in on the music and the fact it sounds a little distorted at first
the very specific but undefinable emotion conveyed by the music
the inconsistent zoom
fantastic analysis but you forgot the banana in the chair which is integral to my enjoyment of this video

Tiny furry philosopher

This is true! The zoo where I volunteer (the illustrious Columbus Zoo & Aquarium) was one of the pioneers of this program.
Our zoo is known for raising cheetah cubs. Cheetahs have a terrible infant mortality rate and cubs are often rejected, so we get a lot of cubs to raise from all over the country (other zoos and sanctuaries, mostly).
The cubs are placed with a puppy friend when they are wee and small, so they grow up together like littermates. They play together, wrestle, and the dogs (yellow Labs) are so calm, friendly and well-socialized that the cheetahs take behavioral cues from them. When they meet new people, or go into new situations (which they often do, as ambassador animals for cheetah conservation), they check out if their dog friend is feeling chill - which he is - and then they know it’s okay for them to be chill, too.
Basically the dog is a service animal for them.
The cats need their dog friends less and less as they get older and more comfortable, but they still often hang out as grownups.
Our zoo does cheetah runs, where the cheetahs get to chase a lure and show off their speed. Often they’ll have one of the cheetahs run (we have like twelve cheetah), and then they’ll have one of the dogs do the run to show how much faster the cats are. People get a kick out of that. The dogs…let’s just say they try their best.
Omg I’m crying, this is so beautiful. 😭
Raccoons are the worst. You expect them to go through your stuff and steal your food while you’re camping, but they don’t stop there - half the time, they’ll be curious enough to come over and touch you. They prod your sleeping body with their horrible little people hands, run their claws through your hair, hold your fingers with their own. I’ve never been aggressively menaced by one, but they’ve slapped my ass through hammock fabric on multiple occasions and stroked my face or hands on others. I’ve played tug-of-war with large raccoons through my window when they grabbed the string to the yarn-and-cup telephone I’d set up with my neighbor.
I AM SO GLAD THAT I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HATES THEIR PEOPLE HANDS.
My first year at camp, our tent was infiltrated by at least six raccoons. They made scratching, shuffling noises as they crawled in from all sides. Somehow they were strong enough to shove our trunks across the ground, and started undoing zippers with horror-film slowness. How they didn’t wake anyone else up, I will never know. The shuffling noises suddenly stopped. They chittered to each other, and the sound was much closer than I had expected. Then I felt hands. Tiny fucking human hands touching my arms, not quite digging in with claws, and I whimpered and tried not to scream. This went on all night long.
I fucking hate raccoons.
They come into the cabins at camp every night. I’ve never had one touch any of my campers, but that’s only because I sleep with my hand curled around the handle of a broomstick and have trained myself to recognize their snuffling and scrabbling. I have leapt out of a bunk to sweep them forcefully out of the cabin in the dead of night, to sleepy tween boys whispering “Wow… you’re like a superhero…”
What if I want little hair goblins to sneak in at night and gently touch my face with their weird tiny fingers
then boy do I have the place for you
Same. (via matsuda98)
the tilting of the manhole cover back into place is what makes this video
Wtf is that? A storm elemental?
Ball lightning fuck me all the way up
Excuse me what the fuck is this
you literally captured whats called “ball lightning” which is the rarest form of lighting
its so rare that we dont even know how it forms other than by heat, static electricity, and humidity
I lost it at “2 bread”
1 gallon of regular chocolate
18 minutes of flour
5 plates of salt
the 5 lettuce salad microwaved for four minutes tho
Turn on the sound and PRAISE
The more I see of Eric Andre the more I’m convinced he is some chaotic neutral trickster god sent to the mortal plane to torment us

Klezmer dolphins.
I don’t know that I’ve reblogged anything faster in my entire tumblr life.
I want to know the story behind this?
Like. Look at the movement of the water. The color. They’re not in a tank. That’s the motherfucking ocean. Or at least, a large closed off area in the ocean. The man in the video is on some sort of raft.
But those dolphins know the dude well enough to beach right next to him, and while I’m no expert in dolphin-ese, I know enough to make a pretty solid guess that those dolphins are trying to communicate with that clarinet (dolphins have their own languages! And I think the fast, lilting notes of the song combined with the clarinet’s natural sound mimics a dolphin’s clicks and chirps pretty well, all things considered)
So what in the Sam Heck is going on here???
