The BAU wasnāt typically in the business of celebrity encounters, but when a string of murders pointed toward a high-profile Hollywood set, the team found themselves in unfamiliar territory.
āYouāre sure sheās involved?ā Morgan asked as they walked through the grand double doors of the studio lot.
āNot directly,ā JJ replied, flipping through her tablet, scanning the reports that had made her pick up on the case. āBut the unsub has a fixation on her. Heās left notes at each crime scene referencing her movies.ā
Hotch had dealt with cases like this before ā obsessive fans, delusions manifesting into violence ā but something about this case had his instincts on edge.
Then he saw you.
You were a household name. Hollywoodās best-kept enigma ā an A-list actress who had managed to keep your personal life out of the tabloids way longer than anyone had anticipated, and still managed to do.
That was no small feat.
You stood near the edge of the set, engaged in conversation with your director. When you noticed them, you excused yourself and approached, your expression unreadable.
āYou must be the FBI,ā you greeted smoothly, your voice carrying just enough warmth to be polite but not inviting. Your agent had only just notified you of how serious the situation had become a few days before the arrival of the team. āI appreciate you coming. This is terrifying.ā
āAgent Hotchner,ā he introduced himself, his usual stoic demeanor in place. āThese are Agents Jareau, Morgan, and Reid.ā
Your gaze flickered over each of them before settling back on Hotch. āI wish I could say Iām surprised, but Iāve been in the industry long enough to know obsession breeds danger.ā
āWe believe the unsub is escalating,ā Reid interjected. āEach victim has been found with items linking to your past films, suggesting a deep personal attachment to your career.ā
You sighed, rubbing your temples. āFantastic.ā
āWeāll need to go over any recent threats you may have received,ā Hotch said. āAnd weāll be assigning protective detail.ā
Your eyes narrowed slightly, though not out of defiance ā more out of frustration. āI keep my personal life locked down for a reason. If word gets out that the FBI is babysitting me, the media will have a field day.ā
āI understand,ā Hotch replied, his voice softer now. āBut your safety comes first.ā
Something in his tone made you pause. The unreadable steel in your gaze softened just a fraction.
āYouāre different from the other agents Iāve met,ā you murmured, more to yourself than anyone else.
Hotch raised a brow, having heard you clearly. āHow so?ā
You offered a small, knowing smile. āYou actually care. I'll have my agent send my relevant details to your team.ā
Despite your initial reluctance, you allowed the team to dig through the threats youād dismissed over the years. It was a pattern, Hotch realized. You had become so accustomed to being watched, desired, and obsessed over that you had learned to ignore the warning signs.
Not this time.
Late one evening, after hours of combing through evidence, you found yourself sitting beside Hotch in your trailer, an untouched cup of coffee in your hands.
āYou donāt talk much,ā you observed.
He glanced at you. āI talk when thereās something to say.ā
A smile ghosted over your lips. āThat must be refreshing for your team.ā
āTheyāre used to it.ā
You exhaled, eyes flickering toward the pile of letters on the table. āI should be more scared, shouldnāt I?ā
āYouāre handling this well.ā
āI think Iām just tired of it,ā you admitted. āThe industry, the expectationsā¦ the fear. I worked so hard to keep my real life separate from my public one, but it doesnāt seem to matter.ā
Hotch studied you for a moment before speaking. āYouāve done everything right. This isnāt your fault.ā
You met his gaze, something unspoken passing between you. You had spent years being seen but never truly known. And yet, in just a few days, this man had managed to break through the carefully constructed walls you had built.
He stood then. āWeāre going to find him.ā
When the unsub was finally apprehended, the weight you had been carrying lifted, but something unexpected lingered, an attachment you hadnāt anticipated.
As the team prepared to leave, you found yourself standing beside Hotch, the energy of the set swarming around you.
āIf you ever need anythingā¦ā he started, trailing off as if unsure how to finish the thought.
You tilted your head, a playful smirk creeping onto your lips. āAre you offering me your number, Agent Hotchner?ā
A rare, almost imperceptible smile crossed his features. āStrictly for emergencies.ā
āOf course.ā
But you both knew this wasnāt the last time youād see each other.
As he walked away, you found yourself staring just a little longer than necessary.
Even though the case had ended, Aaron Hotchner lingered in your thoughts long after the BAU had left Los Angeles. You werenāt sure what to make of it. In your world, people came and went, drawn to the fantasy of who they thought you were, but Hotch had never, although you'd know him for mere moments, treated you like a spectacle. He had looked at you, really looked at you, and seen more than just an actress.
You werenāt sure when youād see him again ā until you did.
It started with a call. Late at night, after a particularly strenuous day on set.
āHotchner.ā His voice was calm, although he sounded tired.
You sat up in bed, your heart picking up its pace. āIs this an emergency?ā
A pause. āNot exactly. But you told me once that if I ever needed to talk, I should call.ā A slow smile tugged at your lips. āAnd here I thought the FBI didnāt take personal calls.ā
He exhaled a quiet chuckle. āWe donāt. Not usually.ā
That was the beginning.
Over the next few weeks, the calls became more frequent. Sometimes they were brief, check-ins disguised as polite conversation. Other times, they stretched into the late hours, with you learning more about the man behind the badge. His job, his son, the way he carried the weight of the world on his shoulders. You shared pieces of yourself in return, opening up in a way you rarely did.
It wasnāt long before one of those calls ended with a whispered confession.
āI miss you,ā you admitted, voice barely above a breath.
Silence hung between you, thick and charged.
Then, softly, āI miss you too.ā
When Hotch finally saw you again, it was different. He wasnāt there for a case. He was there for you.
You met in private, away from prying eyes, and for the first time, there was no pretense, no agent and actress, no investigation or security detail. Just two people drawn together.
āI wasnāt sure youād come,ā you murmured as he stood in the doorway of your home, looking every bit as composed as always, though there was something softer in his expression now.
āI wasnāt sure either.ā
You stepped closer, tilting your head. āBut youāre here.ā
He nodded. āI am.ā
You didnāt overthink it. Instead, you closed the space between you, your fingers skimming the lapels of his coat before you leaned in, pressing your lips to his.
Hotch responded without hesitation, his hands finding your waist, pulling you against him in a way that left no room for uncertainty.
When you finally broke apart, his forehead rested against yours, his breath warm against your skin.
āThis isnāt simple,ā he murmured.
You smiled. āI donāt need simple. I just need you.ā
And for once, Aaron Hotchner allowed himself to believe that maybe, he could have something for himself, too.

You and your husband separated and joined the line of people who just played red light green light so both of you will blend in with the player in-ho made your background you both were lovers who came to the games because you needed money for your baby and a life without telling each other so when the vote came you were instructed to vote to stay and so you when your number was called you did and went to the side with the big o on the ground and then you here the one get called you look up to see your husband he waits a second being yelled at by both side to choose them you look up and itās 182 and 182 a tie he would choose and you already knew the answer so you werenāt even surprised when he pressed the button with the o and your said literally cheered very loudly. After you all separated you watch you husband talk to Gi-hun and his friend who you donāt know the name of all you know is his player number which is 390 but you listened in to your husband and Gi-hun talk, you quietly chuckle when In-ho makes a joke about the second game the and the umbrella cookie. You already miss him but rule number 1 donāt go up to him at all till after the second game so you eat dinner and get ready for bed but you canāt sleep not only is your pregnancy making it hard to sleep, the mattress is hard and small and just not comfortable at all compared to the mattress in-ho bought for you guys after you told him you were pregnant but it wasnāt just those the main fact is that your alone, in-ho is not next to you cuddling you, holding you like your his life line. Thatās when you hear his voice you listen in and hear his talking about why he was here and he bring up being married and her being pregnant and how he needed money to give you both a good life you to lock eyes and you go back to laying on the other side of your body.
You know the next game is a team game you know which one your playing rule number two make a good team with the number he gave you before you joined the ones good at the games other then the ones you choose of course itās based on what he thinks but he told you the guards had one rule if they shoot you they all pay so you know your safe but rule number three donāt act like you arenāt scared it will give away your passion. So after you played you sat by where gi-hun and in-hos group sits and wait till they are done with there. As they walk out you sit there trying to remember what his fake name is. Rule number four never call him in-go even when alone you donāt know whoās listening. As they walked closer you here a voice āy/f/n??ā You hear in/ho and then it clicked āyoung il? What are you doing here??ā You look at his group you see gi-hun his friend, a marine whoās player number in 388 and another pregnant girl whoās number is 222. āI could ask you the same thing Iām here for you! And the babyā he holds you, oh how you missed it āfor us Iām doing it for us!ā His group looks at you and you guys then hug āsheās joking our groupā in-ho looks at gi-hun and gi-hun nods then in-go whispers to you ārule five you donāt leave my sideā you look at him. He didnāt tell you that rule but you arenāt complaining. As you guys vote he votes to leave so you you do to and so the players 222, 388 and gi-Hun but player 390 votes to stay which shocked all of you but thatās how people work sometimes. You sit by his side as you eat player 390 sat away from you all and gi-hun tells player 388 to tell him to come over when he come over and weāre all eating together you all tell each other your names 390 is Jung bae, 388 and dae-ho and 222 is Jun-hee, while you're eating in-ho give Jun-hee his Milk and so does gi-hun. In ho gives you some of his food while Jung bae gives Jun-hee his milk as well. In-ho hold you close to him and you lay on him who do you miss your bed and your shower your both taking a long one when this is done. You know what the next game is and you know only one hundred people will survive so you wonāt let in-ho out of your sight. Gi-hun starts talking about how people will attack so you all have to prepare and that he will take first watch Jung-bae will take second and young-il will take third and you prepare for the third game mingle.
You donāt sleep peacefully but youāll manage it was better when in-ho was with you but then you ate breakfast and got ready for the third game āremember to stay with meā in-ho says holding your hand as you both walk into the room with a big carousel where you would stand and 50 rooms. When you all got on the platform it started spinning which made you cling onto your husband. In-ho held you so you wouldnāt fall then it abruptly came to a stop and the robotic voice said the number ten. You hear a group yell four and you yell six and both your groups run to the door as you all got in go-hun stayed by the door after he closed it, you all sat there quietly waiting for the shooting to start and it did. You knew it would but it still scared you so you clung to in-go he knew it wasnāt you just acting he can tell the difference so he holds you close to him. When the shooting stops and the doors unlock you all leave and go back to the platform and you stay right next to in-ho, as it stops moving again the robot voice says 4. You all look at your group of six and in-ho grabs you āweāll go find some people you four go!ā He said and you both grab two people and ran to a door before the time ran out you know you two wouldnāt die if you didnāt find anyone but a rule was to act the part at all times even now you sat in a room with to random strangers so when the door opened you and him left and you hear Jung bae yelling āyoung-il! Y/f/n!!!ā As he tells you both follow the voice and in-go yell Gi-Huns name and when you both got back to the group and started making sure everyone is ok āyou know if the number is 8 we wonāt need anyone elseā you all look around at each other and the Jung bae laughs ābecause they are both pregnantā when he says that the rest of you start laughing ānot even a dad yet and your already cracking jokesā you look up at in-ho āhey i became a dad when you told me you were pregnantā he says holding you as you all walk back to the platform and when it stops the robotic voice says three you, in-ho and gi-hun. As you thee are running to the door in-ho grip on you loosens and he didnāt realize till he heard you yelling while two people were dragging you into a room heās gonna make sure they donāt make it through the next few rounds him and gi-hun grab player 149 who was separated from her son and go to a room when the round was over you ran over to in-ho and the group and he keeps you in his grasp not allowing you to move but you didnāt care
when you all got back to the platform you see how close player 007 is holding his mother you donāt know why but itās probably the same reason in-go wonāt let you go as the platform some to a stop the robotic voice says 6 and in-ho grabs you and you gi-hun, Jung bae and in-ho with player 246 find one more person and get into the room when the round is over you meet up again and realize player 095 didnāt make it. You felt bad for player 120 but things like this happen in this world thatās what in-ho told you to tell yourself. You all got on to the platform and in-ho holds you as him and the group talk about what the next number will be āit will be 2ā in-ho says āwhy do you say thatā gi-hun asks āthere are 126 people left and fifty room two a room will make it to where only 100 make it outā while in-go says that in-ho grabs you and the platform stops and the robot voice says two and he grips your hand and runs while you guys get into the room he throws a guy out and you hold the door close then you hear in-ho āget outā then you hear another player āwe were here first!ā As your holding the door back you look to your husband and see him on the ground choking out the player who wouldnāt leave as it counts down you hear a crack then the timer hits one your husband just snapped his neck āi thought there was a rule against killing others?ā You look at in-go as he stands up āwell my love sometime rule are meant to be broken and itās not just us anymoreā he says holding your tummy āand we have to stay in character rememberā you look at him āso a rule you didnāt put in place can be broken but the rule you did canāt beā he nods and you guys go back to the group and back to the room getting ready for the night.
While you guys were eating there was a big fight in the manās bathrooms and both side were getting angry after the votes gi-Huns makes a plan to rebel to hide under the bed during light out then fake dead to get the guards guns you look at in-ho who nodded telling you to play along so you both did. You hid under the bed bunks and then he faked being dead with the other then when they were get people he looked at you like he expected you to join so you did as you guys went through the hallways you all hide then in-ho grabs you and a two others while you guys walked up to gi-hun h hand in-ho his last thing of ammo and you four walk to the other side and as they were walking in-ho holds you back and pulls out his gun and shoots both of them he get on the walker talkie āgi-hunā¦..Iām sorry, they got usā you hear as gi-hun yell young-il a few times then in-go switches the station to the guards āletās rap this upā in-ho brings you up to to the room āgo to bed my love and Iāll be back before you know itā you look at him āwhat are you gonna do?ā He looks at you and smiles ālast rule my love donāt question meā¦Iāll tell you when I come backā and with that he get into heās all black uniform and black mask and gose to do what he need to and you finally rest peacefully after showering and Chang because you know you husband will be back.

You look down and realize you have all twenty marbles heās yelling at you that you cheated and you can tell heās panicking āā¦..sang-woo. Sang-woo.. Sang-woo!!ā That got his attention. Sang-woo looked at you and saw you smile at him. He realizes heās need to find away to get the marbles form you but that would mean your death, he cares about you and it will break him to hear that gunshot but he needs to make it home, he broke out of his thoughts when he feels a weight in his hands he looks down and sees the the bag of twenty marbles, he looks at you in shock āwhat are you doing?!ā He watches as you look at him and softly smile āyour mom needs you, sang-woo just makes sure my mom gets the help she needsā you both holds hands as you say that āof course I will and thank youā he lets go of your hands and slowly walks away when he hears a loud gunshot and the robot voice say āplayer 382 eliminateā he lets one tear fall and then puts his face back to his unfazed face but his mind just wanders to the sacrifice you made and how if he doesnāt make it out this your last wish will not happen and sadly it never did

When you too heard you had to pick partners you both went for each other immediately shaking each otherās hands to lock in that you two were partners then you waited for the rest you two have been inseparable since he basically saved your life in the second game when he started licking his umbrella cookie. The robot tells you to follow the guard and you do. When you get to where the guard is taking you, you both sit down and wait wondering if youād be going against another team. As everyone got in the area the robot voice started to explain the games you look at him then at the ground both of your minds are racing. Gi-hunās mind was racing, he didnāt want to kill you or see you die but he needed to get home to his mom and his daughter. Your mind was also a mess you didnāt want to turn on him and then it hit you, he has people outside of this game he has his mom and his daughter. You on the other hand have no one, so you make a decision that your life for his is the best idea but you didnāt tell him that yet. You both sit there āso we should play a game where one throws and whoever throws the furthest wins and for now we just talk. How does that soundā gi-hun looks at you and then smiles sadly and nods you guys sit there in silence for a while āwhatās your daughter and mom like..ā you quietly ask him and that gets him smiling and talking for a while, as he was talk you slip one marble then the another and so on till he has 19 marbles and you have 1 and he hasnāt even realized. You just listen as he talks about the two people he holds dear to him. When the timer got to 3 minutes he realizes just how much he rambled on āsorry I talked a lotā you smiled at him āitās fine we are only playing one round so I donāt this it will be that hard just throw the marble and whoever gets it further wins all the marbles here gi-hun you go firstā you say as you hand him a marble grabbing your own so he canāt see how many are in his bag āwhy did you grab from my bagā when he asked you were quick to come up with a lie āoh because I gave you that from my bag so itās only fairā he slowly nods and throws the marble heās holding and then looks at you āyour turnā he mumbles while he picks up the marble when Gi-hun looks at you in confusion as you hand him his bag of marbles no longer holding the first on in your hands ānow you have all 20ā as you say that gi-hun basically reboots himself āno you canāt do that! You didnāt even play! You have to throw one!ā He starts shouting at you and shaking you tearing up as he does āgi-hunā you mumble and he stops shaking you. You look at him and smile āyou have a mom and daughter to get him to, I on the other hand donāt have anyone gi-hunā as you speak y pick up the marble he threw and even though he tried to stop you but failed. He now had all 20 marbles ājust promise me something gi-hun?ā He stops and looks at you as he was about to walk away āyeahā you smile ādonāt let the last few games change you, and when you get home keep being youā¦ā¦we need more of it in the worldā he stops facing you and speaks before he starts walking away āi promiseā and as he says that he starts walking only to hear a loud bang of a gunshot and then player 023 eliminated from the robots voice, ending game 4

As someone who started writing because I wanted to just share my feelings for the characters. Go for it!! And remember to first write for yourself and then for others. Take breaks too. I would recommend you write down what you will and wont write, you dont have to explain why.
Ok so I had a idea and I wanna do both characters with this idea I just donāt know who to do first so should I do gi-hun x reader or sang-woo x reader where they are partners in the marble game and reader sacrifices themselves I wanna try writing angst i could even make its its only little thing with season 2 characters too if thatās something people want but rn I need help picking sang-woo or gi-hun (ill make another poll for if you want me to do a like how season two characters would be in the marble game)
